FEATURES

VCR 01 is a remote control for devices provided with volume controls through VCA,
such as the XR2F2 crossover. This “controller” works through a potentiometer
connected to the device which has to be driven and it has to be connected to the special
input terminals called “remote control” through two cables (they can also be not
shielded; their polarity in not important). The potentiometer, connected in this way to the
VCA circuitry inside the device it is destined to, changes the VCA “Vref” voltage. Thus,
it doesn’t handle the preamplified signal directly but it acts on the control voltage which
is proportional to the signal level to modify. VCR 01 has also two contacts (polarised)
which lighten the front panel of the device, so that it is easier to use it also when
environment is scarcely illuminated. These two contacts must be connected to the
battery ground (black cable) and to the power supply positive which is after the lights
switch (red cables).
The cables you need to connect VCR 01 are provided; they have faston connectors
(2,8 mm) and a 250 mA fuse connected in series to the power supply positive which
lightens the front control. The provided cables are as follows:
N° 2 cables with faston (length=450 cm) for the device which has to be controlled;
N° 2 cables with faston (length=150 cm) for the lighting.

PRECAUTIONS

In order for this device to function properly it is important that it is installed in a spot
protected from overheating and excessive dampness.
Please respect the power supply voltage polarity for the lighting.
For safer driving you are advised to listen to music at a volume that won’t drown external
traffic sounds.

INSTALLATION

VCR 01 can be installed by the source device (for example a radio cassette player) in
order to be better used by the consumer.
For mounting use the 4 self-threading screws and washers provided. For a very good
result we suggest using audison cable accessories line to complete your installation.
It includes signal cables, RCA and power supply connectors.
