The all-metal link extender shall be half-rack size, measuring 217.0 mm (8.54") wide, 41.0
mm (1.61") high, and 326.0 mm (12.83") deep. It shall have a black finish. A table mount kit
shall be included to enable mounting of the link extender to the underside of a table.

Description
Audio-Technica’s ATLK-EXT165 link extender allows users to extend the cable runs in
compatible discussion/conference systems and mixers equipped with Audio-Technica LINK
ports. When used with the ATUC-50 Digital Discussion System, it enables an increased
discussion unit count of up to 100 DUs per ATUC-50 control unit (ATUC-50CU must have
firmware rev. 1.6 installed to support increased discussion unit count).
The extender is equipped with two RJ-45 Audio-Technica LINK ports through which it
supplies DC +48V power to connected devices. It can be set to power on/o automatically
in tandem with a connected control unit or to operate locally, powering on/o with the
press of the extender’s Mode switch.
The front of the unit is equipped with LED indicators that display power on/o of the
extender and status of power supplied to connected devices.
The ATLK-EXT165 comes with the AT8649 table mount kit that allow the extender to be
mounted to the underside of a table.
Architect’s and Engineer’s Specifications
The link extender shall enable extended cable runs for discussion/conference systems
and mixers. It shall be equipped with two RJ-45 ports through which it shall supply 48V
DC power. It shall incorporate a highly regulated DC voltage supply designed to operate
continuously even under heavy load. The link extender shall be powered by 100V–240V
AC (50/60 Hz) and incorporate a detachable power cable assembly using standard IEC
connections.
The link extender shall be operable remotely or locally, powering on/o automatically in
tandem with a connected control unit or powering on/o with the press of power button
located on the front panel of the extender. The front panel shall also include four LED
indicators: one displaying the power status of the extender itself, two displaying the status
of power supplied to RJ-45 ports A and B, and one that will blink if a current overload
(above 2.6A) is detected.
