Introduction
The Sentry 50 provides high current testing of ground continuity between chassis and
power cord ground on a wide variety of electrical products and appliances. The unit is
designed for maximum flexibility and operator convenience in mind. The Sentry 50 is
ideal for Electrical Safety Compliance Testing in a variety of environments.
Description
Wide Test Current Range User programmable output current, 1A to 30A AC in
0.01A steps, provides extensive coverage for testing to UL, CSA, VDE, IEC and other agency
safety requirements.
Programmable High and Low Resistance Limits A resistance measure-
ment range from 0.1mΩto 510mΩand user programmable high and low resistance limits with pass/fail indication.
Remote ControlCan be incorporated into an automated manufacturing environment
with remote start and Go/NoGo results output through the rear panel PLC interface.
Connection to Sentry 10 through 35 AC/DC Hipot TestersThe Sentry
50 can be used alone or connected to a Sentry 10 - 35 for complete product testing with
the push of one button. When the Sentry 50 has completed a continuity test, with pass
indication, it can remotely start the Sentry 10 - 35 for a Hipot test in sequence.
Easy to Use The simple front panel of the Sentry 50 requires less effort to operate.
Digital display and user friendly control allows test parameters and limits to be set easily
without the high current activated. The instrument can be put on line fast, providing useful measurements by operators with little to no training.
Built-in Calibration via Software Front panel display of an operator prompted
calibration routine makes for no internal adjustments.
