In the absence of an official ASUS quick start guide on this device we took the initiative to draft one as a general guide.
his guide should be considered as unofficial and further technical support cannot be offered from our side. We reserve the right to make changes to this document without prior notice.

System Requirements
This dongle is has approval for worldwide use and it will perfectly work on any Apple MAC desktop or laptop running OS X version 10.3 and above as the operating system. Therefore it only required:
A free USB port. Although USB version 2 is ideal the dongle will
also work on USB version 1 but reduced burst transfer rates might be experienced due to the transfer rate limitations of the USB version 1 port.
OS X 10.3 or above, we are currently unaware of drivers from
previous MAC OS versions although they might some available form other sources.
Wireless access point / router / other wireless device, would be
needed to create a wireless link.

Installation of the drivers

Although drivers for OS X 10.3 and 10.4 are already included in the CD it is recommended (particularly for OS X 10.4) to download the most up-to-date drivers directly from ASUS
At the moment of compiling this guide the most up to date drivers are the following:

- For OSX 10.3 & 10.4: http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/WL-167g/MAC_1130.zip Please unzip the downloaded file and double click the resulting installation
file. Follow the on screen dialogs to complete the installation. Finally reboot your MAC as suggested by the installation procedure.

OS X Configuration
At this point connect the dongle to an available USB port (please note that in some cases USB hubs, like keyboards with additional ports, that do not have external power supply might be short of power - please then try an alternative port). To use this dongle as your network adaptor do the following :
1. Go to System Preferences and select Network for the available icons:
2. An info box might appear letting you know that a new network
adapter has been located. In
Ethernet Adaptor (en1) but the final number might be bigger.
3. Select to use DCHP (most common, but expert users may nee to
modify that) and apply the new settings. Exit
