1. FEATURES
The GC800 gas control unit is designed to provide the automatic sequence required to discharge
fire extinguishing gas such as Halon and CO2. The unit is operated by two fire inputs. These are
normally wired to two independent zone output relays of a conventional fire panel. The fire panel
monitors the protected area for fire.
Local control is provided by means of a Manual Break Glass Unit as well as key switches for
manual/auto and isolate.
Monitored (polarity reversal) outputs are provided for bells, evacuation sign, siren and discharge.
Outputs are also provided for the connection to the GR800/900 and GS800/900 remote units.
A door interlock feature warns the user of the automatic/manual status of the unit. The GC800
features extensive fault monitoring; and a lamp test push button is provided.
