NOTE TO CABLE/TV INSTALLER:
This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer’s attention to Article 820-40 of the National Electric Code (U.S.A.). The code provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close to the point of the cable entry as practical.

REGULATORY INFORMATION
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fitin­to your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11) Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manu­facturer.
12) Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table speci­fied by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus com­bination to avoid injury from tipover.
13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

17) Attachments
Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.
18) Ventilation
Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, and these openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provid­ed or the manufacturer s instructions have been adheredto.
19) Power Sources
This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to oper­ate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operating instructions.
20) Power-Cord Polarization
This product is equipped with a three-wire grounding type plug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will only fit into the grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety fea­ture. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.

23) Outdoor Antenna Grounding
If an outside antenna or cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Article 810 of the National Electrical Code (U.S.A.), ANSI/ NFPA70 provides information with regard to proper grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-dis-charge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirments for the grounding electrode.

21) Power-Cord Protection
Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product.
22) Lightning
For added protection for this product (receiver) during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and discon­nect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
24) Power Lines
An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicin­ity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power cir­cuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or circuits. When installing an outside antenna system,extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.
25) Overloading
Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
26) Object and Liquid Entry
Never push objects of any kind into this product through open­ings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liq­uid of any kind on the product.
27) Servicing
Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards.

31) Wall or Ceiling Mounting
The product should be mounted to a wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer. The product may slide or fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product.
28) Damage Requiring Service
Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a. If the power-supply cord or plug is damaged. b. If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into theproduct. c. If the product has been exposed to rain or water. d. If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions as an improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to its normal operation. e. If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged. f. If the product exhibits a distinct change in performance.
29) Replacement Parts
When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.

Press to activate Picture in Picture (PIP) whereby another input source appears in a smaller picture box.

Press to activate (audio) sound from the main picture input while in PIP mode.

Press to switch between the input source in the main picture and small picture box while in PIP mode.

Your remote control handset is powered by two AAA type batteries.

To insert batteries, turn the remote control over and remove the battery cover.

Put the two batteries into the com­partment with correct polarity.

Replace the cover.

To avoid damage from possible battery leakage, remove the batteries if you do not plan to use the remote control handset for an extended period of time. Do not mix batteries of different age and type. Always discard of used batteries safely.
