HDS-20 HOT DOG STEAMER ─ Operating Instructions

General

The HDS-20 Hot Dog Steamer is designed to steam hot dogs and buns and keep them hot and ready to be served.

This steamer uses plain tap water to generate steam and is easy to use and easy to clean.

Warranty Information

This unit includes a 90-day warranty for the manufacturer’s workmanship. This warranty coverage does not require the support of our Authorized Service Agencies. For specific inquiries, contact A.J. Antunes & Co. at 1-800-253-2991 or 630-784-1000.

Equipment Setup

1. Remove the unit and all packing materials from the shipping carton.

2. Remove all packing materials and protective coverings from the unit.

3. Wash all removable parts in soap and water. Rinse with clean hot water and allow to air dry.

4. Wipe all surfaces of the unit with a hot, damp cloth.

NOTE: Do NOT use a dripping wet cloth. Wring out before use.

5. Place the unit on a sturdy, level table or other work surface.

6. Ensure that the line voltage corresponds to the state voltage on the unit’s specification label and power cord warning tag. If you are unsure about your line voltage, contact an electrician.

Operation

1. Fill the pan with water, making sure the water level is just above the heating element.

2. Turn the unit on and allow it to warm up for 20 minutes.

NOTE: Do NOT turn the unit on unless there is water in the pan.

3. When the unit is warmed up, open the door on the top of the unit and load hot dogs and buns as needed.

4. Close the door once the hot dogs and buns are loaded.

5. When ready to serve, open the door and carefully remove the food product.

6. When finished, turn the unit off.

NOTE: Be sure to close the grill when not in use.

Cleaning

1. Turn the power off, unplug the power cord, and allow the unit to cool down.

2. Remove the inner and outer pans and wash in soap and water. Rinse with clean hot water and allow pans to air dry.

2. Use a cloth and a general cleaning agent to wipe down the outside of the unit.

4. Plug the power cord in and return the unit to service.

6. Connect the unit to the power supply.
