General

Before You Begin
The Fry Station Timer (FST-2), is designed to track the
holding of french fries and hash browns. It also tracks
the proper skimming time for fryer vats. This helps stores
provide consistently high quality products.
The FST-2 has two independent timer channels that track
the proper holding times for either french fries or hash
browns. The third channel tracks the proper fryer vat
skimming time (Figure1) The timer is solar powered and
mounts easily to the top of the Fry Station with a bracket
supplied by your KES (Figure 2).
The timer also features an audible signal. 3 AA power
backup batteries are included.
Installing the Fry Station Timer
1. Take the Timer out of the box.
NOTE: Do NOT obstruct the solar cells at the front
and top of the Timer or the Timer may not function
properly.
2. Attach the timer to a magnetic metallic surface.
NOTE. Do NOT locate timer in areas hotter than
105º F (40º C).

Using the Fry Station Timer
The Fry Station Timer is pre-programmed at the factory
with the following values:

to begin the timed cycle. The dots on the display
flash, indicating a timed cycle is active.

will go blank until you start a new timed cycle.
To cancel a timed cycle, press the MARCHE ARRÉT
START/STOP. The display will go blank.

NOTE: The Left and Right (Gauche & Droit) displays
go blank when the unit is not timing. The displays will
NOT go blank during an active timed cycle. The Skim
All Vats (Écumer Toutes Les Cuves) display should
never go blank.
Programming the Fry Station Timer
1. Press the PRODUIT PRODUCT button for the
desired channel to select the product type to program.
2. Press and hold the MARCHE ARRÉT START/STOP
button of the desired tray channel until the time
value flashes.
3. Release the MARCHE ARRÉT START/STOP but-
ton.
4. Next, press the MARCHE ARRÉT START/STOP
button to increase the time value.
5. Release the button when the desired time appears
on the display.
6. Wait approximately 5 seconds without pressing any
buttons. The time change is saved.
NOTE: To program the “Skim All Vats” (Écumer
Toutes Les Cuves) time, follow the same procedure
above using the REMISE À ZÉRO RESET button.
The Skim All Vats (Écumer Toutes Les Cuves) timer channel is designed to constantly count down from the programmed time to zero, to indicate when it is time to skim
the vats.
1. In the “Skim All Vats” (Écumer Toutes Les Cuves)
area, press the REMISE À ZÉRO RESET button
once. The timed cycle begins.
Problems with the Timer?
If you experience any problem with your timer, contact the
manufacturer immediately at 877-392-7854.
Limited Warranty
The Fry Station Timer (FST-2) has a one-year warranty from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover misuse/
abuse, damage due to dropping, cover damage, and/or cracked solar panels. The warranty for this timer does not cover
travel time or mileage. Contact the Technical Service Department at the factory for any FST-2 warranty issues.
