Care should be taken so that objects DO NOT fal l onto units and t hat liqui ds are not spilled int o either unit or Sensor Pad through its openings.

5.1. Always be sure to imme diate ly che ck on ba by whenever an alarm sounds.
15.19 Sen sor Pad - Your Sens or Pad can be us ed in any cr ib that is stati onary. If the crib has a spring or slat base , p lace a hard boa rd betw een th e cri b ba se and the Sen sor Pad measu ri ng at lea st 33 x 33 cm and 6 mm thick. Only use your An gelcare env iro nm ent such as a crib where the Sensor Pad can rest on a c ompletel y fla t, firm surface. The senso r pad is m ade of p lastic and d oes not pe rmi t the air to cir cul ate . Th ere for e, m ild ew build up c ould de velop under neat h the matt ress in t he sen so r pa d ar ea . We s ug gest r ota tin g the mattress regularly to prevent any mildew.
16. I MPO RT AN T SAF ET Y I NS TR U C TIO NS RELATED TO USE OF BATTERIES
16.1 Use ONLY the t yp e an d siz e of b att er ies
spe cifi ed in the owne r’s manu al. There is a risk of ex plo sio n if ba tte ri es ar e rep lac ed wi th an incorrect type.
16.2 Cha rge the bat ter y fo r 9 hou rs prio r to first use. Be sure to have the monitor in the OFF posit ion durin g this period. ONLY use the adapters included with your monitor.
16.3 DO NOT u se the se ada pter s with any o ther equipments.
16.4 Wh en un pl ug gi ng th e a da pte r f ro m t he Nursery Unit, be sure it is switched to the OFF position . If it isn ’t, the u nit will rever t to battery mode if batteries are installed.
16.5 DO NOT use rech arg eabl e batte ries in the Nursery Unit. Use alkaline batteries ONLY.
16.6 DO NOT dispose bat teri es in fire . T hey may expl ode. Check with loca l regulatio ns for po ssib le special disposal instructions.
16.7 Exer cise care in h andl ing batter ies in o rder not to short out the bat teries with conductin g ma teria ls su ch as ring s, b ra cel et s and keys . Over char ging , s hort ci rcuit ing, reve rse cha rgin g, mutilation, or inc iner atio n of bat teries must be avoid ed to prevent o ne or more of the fo llowi ng occu rrences: release of to xic ma teria ls, r elea se of hydro gen and /or ox ygen, g as and rise in sur face temperature.

1) Connect the adapter to the
Parent Unit and into an electrical outlet.
2) Charge the unit for 9 continuous hours (prior to first use).
NOTE:
To optimize your batte ry performance please refer to Battery Guidelines in the Troubleshooting section.

STRANGULATION HAZARD.
Children have STRANGLED in cords:
• Keep adapter cords out of the reach of children (more than 1 meter away).
• Because of the serious strangulation risk to infants and toddlers, parents and caregivers should never place the Nursery Unit within 1 meter of a crib.
NEVER use Sensor Pad without the cord covers. Check cord covers before each use to ensure it is securely placed under the leg of the crib. Discontinue use of Sensor Pad if any cord covers are damaged or broken.
NEVER use extension cords with adapters. ONLY use the adapters provided. This product is not a toy. Never allow children to play with it.
