OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a
safety feature, the plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
This curling iron has automatic dual voltage. It can be used at voltages

SPECIAL TEMPERATURE
CONTROL INFORMATION
This Andis iron is capable of high temperatures which are effective for
styling thick, coarse hair.
This high-heat capability requires special care when using the highest
temperature settings.
We recommend to test on a lower setting and gradually adjust to a
higher setting – only if you do not achieve your preferred results.
NOTE: Use of higher than necessary temperatures can damage
your hair.
TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
The styling temperature will depend
on your hair’s texture and condition.
Generally, for fine, bleached or hair in poor
condition, use lower settings. For normal
hair, use higher settings Once your curling
iron reaches the temperature you select, it
maintains it all through styling.
CAUTION: Care should be used when
using this appliance on damaged or color
treated hair.

CURLING TIPS
SIZE OF CURL: Depends on the amount of hair you curl at one time.
The larger the section, the looser the curl.
DIRECTION OF THE CURL: Depends on the way you wind the hair around
the barrel. To turn hair up, place clamp under the section, with barrel on
top, and wind hair upwards. For a turned-under look, place clamp over the
section, with barrel underneath, and wind hair under.
AMOUNT OF CURL: Depends on how long you hold the appliance in
position after winding the hair. For example, to create a very firm curl, hold
in place for approximately 30 seconds. When a straight look is desired, keep
your appliance moving slowly down the hair section.
TO USE YOUR ANDIS CURLING IRON
1. To pre-heat your Andis curling iron, plug into an electrical outlet. Push
the “ON” button and turn temperature dial to desired setting. When the
unit is first turned on, the red light will blink. When the iron reaches the
selected temperature, the red light will stop blinking. Be sure to turn the
iron off by pushing the “OFF” button when you are done.
2. Always make certain that your hair is completely dry before styling with
your curling iron. Part off a section of hair to be curled. Comb through
this section to smooth out any snarls. Hold ends taught with one hand.
3. Open clamp and grip hair within one inch of scalp. If desired, hold in
place for about 10 seconds to create extra volume for your finished style.
Then slide iron through hair until ends extend slightly beyond barrel.
4. Roll iron in the desired direction, with ends following the direction of the
curl, and wind one or two revolutions. For a full curl, wind to within
one-half inch of scalp. Hold iron in place 20-30 seconds.
5. Release curl by gently pressing and releasing clamp in a scissors-like
motion. Then, gently withdraw the iron. For added support, secure curls
with clips and spray lightly with a good quality hair spray. Always allow
curls to cool completely before brushing or combing them.
