Setting Up Your Q90D

Lock Switch

1. Slide the LOCK switch (which is
located on the right side of the
unit below the ESC key) to the
OFF position before using your
Q90D.

2. Slide the LOCK switch to the ON
position before moving the Q90D
to another location.

Turning the Q90D ON and
OFF

1. To turn ON the Q90D, press the
Power key.

2. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power
again.

Placing TTY Calls

Dialing Manually from the
Q90D Keyboard

1. Turn ON the Q90D.

2. Press F1 and type in a phone
number.

3. Press Return and after the call is
answered, start typing.

4. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power.
To hang up and make another call,
hold down CTRL and press F1
instead.

Dialing from the Q90D
Phone Directory

1. Turn ON the Q90D.

2. Press F1 to enter DIAL mode.

3. Type the name of the person you
are calling or press one of the
Arrow keys until the desired
name appears.

4. Press Return to DIAL the name
that you have selected.

5. After the call is answered,
start typing.

6. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power.
To hang up, hold down CTRL and
press F1 instead.

Dialing from a Digital
Cellular or Cordless
Telephone

1. Connect the cell or cordless
phone to the Q90D using the
phone cord.

2. Turn ON the Q90D.

3. DIAL the telephone number using
the cellular or cordless telephone.

4. When the call is answered, start
typing.

5. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power.

Installing and Using Your Q90D

Receiving Calls

Receiving Calls Using a
Standard Analog Telephone
Line

1. When there is an incoming call,
the built-in RING FLASHER
flashes.

2. Press the Spacebar to answer.

3. Begin typing.

4. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power.

Receiving Calls in Cell
Phone Standby Mode When
a Phone is Already
Connected to the Q90D

1. Plug the cellular telephone or
cordless phone into the Q90D.

2. Turn ON the Q90D, hold down
CTRL and press F3.

3. When a call comes in and the
CELL FLASHER light flashes, turn
ON your cellular or cordless
telephone.

4. Press the Spacebar and start
typing.

5. When finished, turn OFF the
cellular or cordless phone.

6. Hold down CTRL and press F3 to
return to the cell phone Standby
mode or turn OFF the Q90D by
holding down CTRL and pressing
Power.

Receiving Calls Using a
Digital Cellular or Cordless
Telephone When a Phone is
Not Already Connected to
the Q90D

1. When you know that a call is
coming in, connect your cell
phone or cordless phone to the
Q90D with a connecting cord.

2. Turn ON your cell phone or
cordless phone.

3. Press Power to turn ON your
Q90D.

4. Type your response.

5. When you are finished with the
conversation, turn OFF the
cellular or cordless telephone.

6. To turn OFF the Q90D, hold
down CTRL and press Power.

Bouton LOCK

1. Mettez le bouton LOCK (sur la
droite de l’appareil, en-dessous de la
touche ESC) en position OFF avant
de commencer à utiliser votre
Q90D.

2. Mettez le bouton LOCK en
position ON si vous transportez le
Q90D.

Pour allumer et éteindre le
Q90D

1. Pour allumer le Q90D, appuyez sur
la touche Power.

2. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez de nouveau sur Power.

Pour effectuer des
appels TTY

Composition manuelle sur le
clavier du Q90D

1. Allumez le Q90D.

2. Appuyez sur F1 et composez un
numéro de téléphone.

3. Appuyez sur Return, et quand l’ap-
pel a été reçu, commencez à taper.

4. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur Power. Pour
raccrocher et effectuer un autre
appel, maintenez enfoncée la touche
CTRL et appuyez sur F1.

Composition à partir du réper­toire téléphonique du Q90D

1. Allumez le Q90D.

2. Appuyez sur F1 pour passer au
mode DIAL (composition).

3. Tapez le nom de la personne que
vous désirez appeler, ou appuyez
sur une des touches fléchées
jusqu’à ce que vous voyiez son
nom s’afficher.

4. Appuyez sur Return pour
composer le numéro
correspondant au nom choisi.

5. Une fois que l’appel a été pris,
commencez à taper.

6. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur Power. Pour rac­crocher, maintenez enfoncée la
touche CTRL et appuyez sur F1.

Composition à partir d’un
téléphone cellulaire ou sans fil

1. Raccordez le téléphone cellulaire
ou sans fil au Q90D à l’aide du
cordon téléphonique.

2. Allumez le Q90D.

3. Composez le numéro sur le
téléphone cellulaire ou sans fil.

4. Une fois que l’appel a été pris,
commencez à taper.

5. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur Power.

Pour recevoir des
appels

Pour recevoir des appels sur
une ligne téléphonique
analogique standard

1. Quand on vous appelle, le témoin
RING FLASHER intégré clignote.

2. Appuyez sur la barre d’espace
pour répondre.

3. Commencez à taper.

4. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur Power.

Pour recevoir des appels en
mode disponibilité téléphone
cellulaire (Standby) quand un
téléphone est déjà connecté au
Q90D

1. Reliez le téléphone cellulaire ou
sans fil au Q90D.

2. Allumez le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur F3.

3. Quand vous recevez un appel et
que le témoin CELL FLASHER
clignote, allumez votre téléphone
cellulaire ou sans fil.

4. Appuyez sur la barre d’espace et
commencez à taper.

5. Quand vous avez terminé,
éteignez le cellulaire ou le
téléphone sans fil.

6. Maintenez enfoncée la touche
CTRL et appuyez sur F3 pour
revenir au mode « disponibilité
téléphone cellulaire », ou éteignez
le Q90D en maintenant la touche
CTRL enfoncée et en appuyant
sur Power.

Pour recevoir des appels avec
un téléphone numérique
cellulaire ou sans fil qui n’est
pas encore connecté au Q90D

1. Quand vous savez qu’on vous
appelle, raccordez votre
téléphone cellulaire ou sans fil au
Q90D avec un cordon.

2. Allumez votre téléphone cellulaire
ou sans fil.

3. Appuyez sur Power pour allumer
votre Q90D.

4. Tapez votre réponse.

5. Quand vous avez terminé la
conversation, éteignez le
téléphone cellulaire ou sans fil.

6. Pour éteindre le Q90D, maintenez
enfoncée la touche CTRL et
appuyez sur Power.

Configurando su Q90D

Interruptor Lock

1. Deslice el interruptor LOCK (que
está ubicado en el lado derecho de
la unidad debajo de la tecla ESC) a
la posición OFF antes de usar su
Q90D.

2. Deslice el interruptor LOCK a la
posición ON antes de mover el
Q90D a otro lugar.

Encendiendo y apagando el Q90D

1. Para encender el Q90D, presione la
tecla Power.

2. Para apagar el Q90D, mantenga
presionada la tecla CTRL y
presione Power nuevamente.

Haciendo llamadas TTY

Marcando manualmente con el
teclado del Q90D

1. Encienda el Q90D.

2. Presione F1 e ingrese el número de
teléfono con el teclado.

3. Presione Return y después de que
la llamada es contestada, comience a
escribir con el teclado.

4. Para apagar el Q90D, mantenga

presione Power. Para colgar y hacer
otra llamada, mantenga presionada

celular.

presionada la tecla CTRL y
presione F3.

3. Cuando entra una llamada y la luz
CELL FLASHER parpadea,
encienda su teléfono celular o
inalámbrico.

4. Presione la barra espaciadora y
comience a escribir con el
teclado.

5. Cuando termine, apague el
teléfono celular o inalámbrico.

6. Mantenga presionada la tecla

CTRL y presione F3 para regresar
al modo Standby de teléfono
celular o apague el Q90D
manteniendo presionada la tecla
CTRL y presionando Power.

1. Cuando sepa que está recibiendo
una llamada, conecte su teléfono
celular o inalámbrico al Q90D
con un cable de conexión.

2. Encienda su teléfono celular o
inalámbrico.

3. Presione Power para encender su
Q90D.

4. Escriba su respuesta con el
teclado.

5. Cuando haya terminado la
conversación, apague el teléfono
celular o inalámbrico.

6. Apague el Q90D, mantenga
presionada la tecla CTRL y
presione Power.
