Introduction

Recognize this symbol as a safety
precaution

Read entire manual before installing kit. All necessary
tools and materials must be available prior to
installation. Verify all listed parts are included in kit. If
parts are missing, contact source from whom kit was
purchased.

• Mechanical experience is required to install kit.

• Depending on installer’s knowledge and skill,
installation can take from 1/2 to 1 hour.

• If unable to solve a problem during installation,
contact an authorized Amana® technician. Locate a
Factory Service Center or independent authorized

Procedure

Important

Permanent double-sided tape is used to attach
side trim pieces. Before removing paper backing,
check placement of trim pieces on cabinet. Trim
pieces may be damaged if adjustment or removal
is attempted after installation.

1. Identify cabinet opening where opening is a
minimum of 70" (1753 mm) high, 24" (610 mm)
deep and 36" (914 mm) wide.

2. Level refrigerator in cabinet opening according to
instructions in Owner's Manual. Raise stabilizing
legs by turning counterclockwise. Unplug
refrigerator and roll refrigerator out of opening to
install kit.

3. Slide a L-shaped bezel gusset into end of left and
right frame. Insert and tighten screws.

5. Center top trim on refrigerator cabinet. Confirm side
of trim opposite hinge is flush with side of cabinet.
Confirm front of trim is secure against front of
refrigerator cabinet. Install top frame on refrigerator
cabinet by removing paper backing from velcro
patches and pressing frame tightly into place. Top
frame may be removed. Remove top frame by
gently lifting top frame. Replace top frame by
pressing tightly into place. Side frames cannot be
removed.

6. Align front edge of left and right frames along left
and right edges of refrigerator cabinet.

7. Slide bezel gusset on left and right frames into top
frame. Confirm trim is aligned properly and mitered

corners are tight.

8. Confirm hinge side trim fits around center hinge
bracket.

4. Slide bezel gusset from left frame into channel on
one end of top trim. Slide bezel gusset from right
frame into channel on other end of top trim. Confirm
trim is aligned properly at mitered corners. If
mitered corners do not fit properly, remove left and
right frames and make necessary adjustments.

Important

• Before removing paper backing, check placement of

trim pieces on cabinet. Pieces may be damaged if
adjustment or removal is attempted after
installation.

9. Install left and right frames by peeling off 1 1/2"
(38 mm) of backing. Permanent, double-sided tape
is used to attach trim pieces to refrigerator. Press
frames firmly on refrigerator. After checking
placement, peel off backing and press into place.

10. Secure left and right frames to top frame by
inserting and tightening screws.

11. Roll refrigerator into opening and check for proper
fit with surrounding cabinets. Once proper fit is
achieved, roll refrigerator out of opening; plug in
power cord. Roll refrigerator back into opening.
Lower stabilizing legs by turning clockwise.
Stabilizing legs must be firmly against floor.
