The lightning ﬂash with arrowhead, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufﬁcient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.

ONNECTING THE

POWER CORD (AC WALL OUTLET)

Insert the blades into the outlet. The universal power supply may be plugged upside down with no effect on product. Please note, the inMotion system can also be powered with eight D batteries (not included).

5. Do not use this apparatus near water. This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects ﬁlled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

6. Clean only with dry cloth.

7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The apparatus should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings. The apparatus must not be placed in a built-in installation, such as a closed bookcase or cabinet that may impede the ﬂow of air through the ventilation openings. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.

8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including ampliﬁers) that produce heat. Extended exposure to temperatures higher than 170 degrees Fahrenheit, for example inside a closed vehicle during the summer, may result in damage to your product.

9. No open ﬂame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.

10. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not ﬁt into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.

11. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched — particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

12. Do not install in an area which impedes the access to the power plug. Disconnecting the power plug is the only way to completely remove power to the product and must be readily accessible at all times.

13. Power source — Use only power supplies of the type speciﬁed in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance. If a separate power supply is included with this apparatus, do not substitute with any other power supply — use only manufacturer-provided power supplies.

14. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

15. If the unit will be unused for long periods of time, the batteries should be removed.

16. Refer all servicing to qualiﬁed service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. For service, refer to qualiﬁed service personnel, return to the dealer, or call the Altec Lansing service line for assistance.

What Does The Warranty Cover?: Altec Lansing warrants that its products shall be free from defects in materials or workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.

What Is The Period Of Coverage?: For units purchased in European Union or Asia, this warranty runs for two year from the date of purchase. For units not purchased in Europe or Asia, this warranty runs for one year from the date of purchase. The term of any warranties implied by law shall expire when your limited warranty expires. Some states and/or Member States in the European Union do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

What Does The Warranty Not Cover?: This warranty does not cover any defect, malfunction or failure that occurs as a result of: improper installation; misuse or failure to follow the product directions; abuse; or use with improper, unintended or faulty equipment. (For information on proper installation, operation and use consult the manual supplied with the product. If you require a replacement manual, you may download a manual from www.alteclansing.com.) Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. What Will Altec Lansing Do To Correct The Problem?:Altec Lansing will, at its option, repair or replace any product that proves to be defective in material or workmanship. If your product is no longer being manufactured, or is out of stock, at its option, Altec Lansing may replace your product with a similar or better Altec Lansing product.

How To Get Warranty Service:To get a covered product repaired or replaced, you must contact Altec Lansing during the warranty period by email (csupport@alteclansing.com). You must include in your email, your name, address, email address, telephone number, date of purchase and a complete description of the problem you are experiencing. In the United States, you may alternatively contact Altec Lansing by telephone at 1-800-ALTEC88 — please be prepared to provide the same information. If the problem appears to be related to a defect in material or workmanship, Altec Lansing will provide you a return authorization and instructions for return shipment. Return shipments shall be at the customer's expense, and the return must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase. You should insure the shipment as appropriate because you are responsible for the product until it arrives at Altec Lansing.

How Will State Law Affect Your Rights?: This warranty gives you speciﬁc legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Please note that in the European Union, you as a consumer might have other legal rights under national legislation of European Union Member States governing the sale of Altec Lansing's goods. Placing the

INMotion I

M7 system

Position the inMotion iM7 system on a stable, level surface, preferably close to you.

Making Connections

Warning: Do not insert the speaker system’s universal power supply into a wall outlet until all connections are made. Also, turn off your iPod or other portable audio device before docking on the inMotion iM7 system.

Newer iPods:

• Open the inMotion iM7 iPod cradle by pushing on the top center of the cradle door until the door mechanism releases the door.

• Adjust the iPod cradle by moving the cradle lever to the position corresponding to the type of iPod being used. If an iPod mini is being used, locate the included iPod mini cradle adapter and snap it onto the front of your iPod mini.

• Place your iPod or iPod mini with cradle adapter into the inMotion iM7 iPod cradle and press down until it is fully seated on the cradle connector.

• Close the inMotion iM7 iPod cradle by pushing on the top center of the cradle door until the door mechanism locks it in place.

Older iPods, iPod shufﬂe, and other portable audio devices:

1. Locate the 3.5 mm stereo cable provided with this system.

2. Connect one end of the 3.5 mm stereo cable into the auxiliary input jack (AUX) located on the back of the inMotion iM7 system, and the other end to the headphone or line out jack on your portable audio device.

TV or VCR Connection for IPod Photo

The inMotion iM7 system includes a pass-through video feature that allows you to display photos from your iPod photo onto a television set while the iPod photo is docked to the iM7. To connect the iM7 to a television set or VCR, follow the steps below:

1. Make sure the power to your television set or VCR is turned off.

2. Locate an S-Video or Composite (RCA) cable (sold separately).

• Using an S-Video cable: Connect one end of the S-Video cable to the S-Video

port on the back of the inMotion iM7 system and the other end to the S-Video port on your television set or VCR.

• Using a Composite (RCA) cable: Connect one end of the Composite (RCA) cable

to the Composite (RCA) port on the back of the inMotion iM7 system and the other end to the yellow Composite (RCA) input on your television set or VCR.

Power

AC Power

After your iPod or other portable audio device is connected to the inMotion iM7 system, insert the barrel connector from the universal power supply into the connector marked on the rear of the inMotion iM7 system. After this connection is made, insert the universal power supply into a wall outlet. You can now use your inMotion iM7.

DC (Battery) Power

Before your iPod or other portable audio device is connected to the inMotion iM7 system, install eight D batteries (not included) into the battery compartments on the bottom of the inMotion iM7 system. Make sure the batteries are installed as illustrated in the battery compartments. You can now use your inMotion iM7.

Note: While the stand-by mode effectively reduces battery consumption, it does not completely turn the iM7 off. To maximize battery life when not using the iM7, remove the batteries from the battery compartment.

Start Playing

1. Turn on your iPod or other portable audio device.

2. Turn on the Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 system by pushing the stand-by button located on the unit or the wireless remote. An LED will light next to the

button when the system is active.

Note: To avoid hearing a popping sound when you turn on your inMotion iM7 system, always turn on your iPod or other portable audio device ﬁrst.

Volume

The “+” and “–” buttons on the inMotion iM7 system are the master volume controls for the speaker system. Press and hold the “+” button to increase the volume and the “–” button to decrease the volume.

Wireless Remote Control

In order to use the wireless remote, install the supplied battery in the remote’s battery compartment.

CAUTION

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Stand-by

The stand-by button on the Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 remote control can be used to turn the unit on and place the unit in stand-by mode. An LED will light on the inMotion iM7 system when the unit is on.

Volume

The “+” and “–” buttons marked with the word “volume” on the wireless remote control the master volume. Press the “+” button to increase the volume, and press the “–” to decrease the volume.

Treble

The “+” and “–” buttons marked with the word “treble” on the wireless remote control the treble. Press the “+” button to increase the treble, and press the “–” to decrease the treble.

Bass

The “+” and “–” buttons marked with the word “bass” on the wireless remote control the bass. Press the “+” button to increase the bass, and press the “–” to decrease the bass.

IPOD Functions

When an iPod is docked into the inMotion iM7 system and the inMotion iM7 system is turned on, some iPod functions can be controlled using the inMotion iM7 system’s remote control.

Note: The inMotion iM7 remote control will provide song navigation functions only with newer iPods running iPod software version 2.1 or later.

1. Play/Pause Function: Press the Play/Pause button once to start playing the

selected song. Press the Play/Pause button again to pause the song.

2. On/Off Function: Press and hold the Play/Pause button to turn the iPod off.

Press the Play/Pause or Track Forward/Track Back buttons on the iM7 remote to turn the iPod back on.

3. Track Forward/Track Back Function: Press the Track Forward button to skip to

the beginning of the next song. Press and hold the Track Forward button to fast-forward through the song. Press the Track Back button to skip to the beginning of the song currently being played. Press and hold the Track Back button to rewind the song.

Plug the universal power supply into a wall outlet and plug the power supply connector into the power supply jack.

If the universal power supply cord is plugged into a surge protector, make sure the surge protector is switched on.

Plug another device into a wall outlet (same outlet) to conﬁrm the outlet is working.

Press the stand-by button (LED will turn on).

Install eight fresh D batteries into the battery compartments located on the bottom of the inMotion iM7 system. Make sure the batteries are installed per the illustration in the battery compartments.

Press the stand-by button (LED will turn on).

Verify the universal power supply cord is plugged into a wall outlet and the power supply jack.

Verify batteries are installed if the universal power supply isn’t being used.

Verify stand-by button has been pushed and the LED is illuminated.

Press the “+” button on the iM7 or the iM7 wireless remote control to increase the volume.

Check volume level on alternate audio source device and set at mid-level.

Turn off the iPod, remove it from the docking station, reseat it, and turn it on again.

Connect 3.5mm stereo cable to the audio source. Make sure the signal cable is inserted ﬁrmly into the correct jacks.

Make sure the 3.5mm stereo cable is connected and fully inserted in the “line-out,” “audio-out,” or the headphone jack on your audio source.

Test the speakers on another audio source by removing the 3.5mm stereo cable from the audio source and connecting it to the “line-out,” “audio-out” or the headphone jack of a different audio source (e.g., CD player, MP3 player).

Check connection if iPod is in the docking station. Check connection of the

3.5mm stereo cable. Make sure it is connected to “line-out,” “audio-out,” or the headphone jack on your audio source — and NOT “speaker-out.”

Unplug the 3.5mm stereo cable from the audio source. Then plug it into the headphone jack of an alternate source (e.g., CD player, MP3 player).

Press the “–” button on the iM7 or the iM7 wireless remote control to decrease the volume.

WAV and .MID ﬁles are often of poor quality; therefore distortion and noise are easily noticed with high-powered speakers. Try a different audio source such as a music CD.

Check the operating system volume level and decrease if necessary.

Move your speakers to see if the interference goes away.

Replace battery.

Point the Remote Control toward the IR window, within 15 feet of the unit.

8. N’installez pas l’appareil à proximité de sources de chaleur telles que des radiateurs, des registres de chaleur, des fourneaux ou autres appareils produisant de la chaleur (ampliﬁcateurs inclus). Une exposition prolongée à des températures supérieures à 170°F (à l’intérieur d’un véhicule fermé en plein été, par exemple) peut entraîner des dommages au niveau du produit.

10. N’allez pas à la rencontre des objectifs de sécurité de la ﬁche polarisée ou mise à la terre. Les ﬁches polarisés disposent de deux lames (une plus large que l’autre). Les ﬁches de mise à la terre disposent de deux lames et d’une broche de mise à la terre. La lame plus large ou la broche est fournie pour votre sécurité. Si la ﬁche fournie ne correspond pas à votre prise électrique, consultez un électricien aﬁn de remplacer la prise obsolète.

11. Faites-en sorte que le cordon d’alimentation ne puisse être piétiné ou plié, notamment aux points d’entrée et de sortie des ﬁches et des prises.

12. N’installez pas l’appareil dans une zone où l’accès à la ﬁche d’alimentation n’est pas garanti. Le débranchement de la ﬁche d’alimentation est la seule manière de mettre le produit complètement hors tension. Vous devez pouvoir accéder facilement à la ﬁche à tout moment.

Mise en place du système

INMOTION I

Placez le système inMotion iM7 sur une surface stable et uniforme, à proximité de vous de préférence.

Branchements

Avertissement : n’insérez pas le bloc d’alimentation universel du système d’enceintes dans une prise murale avant d’avoir effectué tous les branchements. Mettez également votre iPod ou périphérique audio portable hors tension avant de le connecter au système inMotion iM7.

iPod plus récents :

• Ouvrez le support iPod du système inMotion iM7 en appuyant sur la partie supérieure centrale de la porte du support jusqu’à ce que le mécanisme de la porte déverrouille la porte.

• Réglez le support iPod en plaçant le levier sur la position correspondant au type d’iPod utilisé. Si vous utilisez un iPod mini, localisez l’adaptateur iPod mini du support fourni et ﬁxez-le sur la partie avant de votre iPod mini.

• Placez votre iPod ou votre iPod mini équipé de l’adaptateur du support dans le support iPod du système inMotion iM7 et appuyez jusqu’à ce qu’il soit entièrement inséré dans le connecteur du support.

• Fermez le support iPod du système inMotion iM7 en appuyant sur la partie supérieure centrale de la porte du support jusqu’à ce que le mécanisme de la porte verrouille la porte.

iPod plus anciens, iPod shufﬂe et autres périphériques audio portables :

1. Localisez le câble stéréo 3,5 mm fourni avec ce système.

2. Reliez une extrémité du câble stéréo 3,5 mm à la prise d’entrée auxiliaire (AUX), située sur la partie arrière du système inMotion iM7 et l’autre extrémité à la prise du casque d’écoute ou de la ligne de sortie de votre périphérique audio portable.

Connexion téléviseur ou magnétoscope

pour IPOD Photo

Le système inMotion iM7 inclut une fonction vidéo d’intercommunication qui vous permet d’afﬁcher les photos de votre iPod photo sur un téléviseur lorsque le périphérique iPod photo est connecté au système iM7. Pour relier le système iM7 à un téléviseur ou un magnétoscope, procédez comme suit :

1. Assurez-vous que le téléviseur ou le magnétoscope est hors tension.

2. Localisez le câble S-Video ou RCA (composite) (vendu séparément).

• A l’aide du câble S-Video : connectez une extrémité du câble S-Video au port

S-Video situé sur la partie arrière du système inMotion iM7 et l’autre extrémité au port S-Video du téléviseur ou du magnétoscope.

• A l’aide du câble RCA (composite) : connectez une extrémité du câble RCA

(composite) au port RCA (composite) situé sur la partie arrière du système inMotion iM7 et l’autre extrémité à l’entrée RCA (composite) jaune du téléviseur ou du magnétoscope.

Alimentation

Alimentation CA

Une fois votre iPod ou autre périphérique audio portable connecté au système inMotion iM7, insérez le connecteur avec gaine du bloc d’alimentation universel dans le connecteur portant la mention , situé sur la partie arrière du système inMotion iM7. Une fois ce branchement effectué, insérez le bloc d’alimentation universel dans une prise murale. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser le système inMotion iM7.

Alimentation CC (piles)

Avant de connecter votre iPod ou autre périphérique audio portable au système inMotion iM7, installez huit piles D (non fournies) dans les compartiments des piles situés sur la partie inférieure du système inMotion iM7. Assurez-vous que les piles sont installées comme illustré dans les compartiments des piles. Vous pouvez maintenant utiliser le système inMotion iM7.

Remarque : Le mode de veille réduit de manière importante la consommation des piles, le système iM7 n’est néanmoins pas complètement hors tension. Aﬁn d’optimiser au maximum la durée de vie des piles lorsque vous n’utilisez pas le système iM7, retirez les piles des compartiments.

Démarrage de la lecture

1. Mettez votre iPod ou autre périphérique audio portable sous tension.

2. Mettez le système inMotion iM7 Altec Lansing sous tension en appuyant sur la touche stand-by , située sur l’unité ou la télécommande. Une diode électroluminescente s’allume à côté de la touche lorsque le système est actif.

Remarque : pour éviter d’entendre un son saturé lorsque vous mettez votre système inMotion iM7 sous tension, commencez toujours par allumer votre iPod ou autre périphérique audio portable.

Volume

Les touches « + » et « – », situées sur le système inMotion iM7, permettent de régler le volume général du système d’enceintes. Maintenez la touche « + » enfoncée pour augmenter le niveau du volume et sur la touche « – » pour diminuer le niveau du volume.

Télécommande sans ﬁl

Si vous souhaitez utiliser la télécommande sans ﬁl, installez la pilefournie dans le compartiment de la pile de la télécommande.

ATTENTION

Risque d’explosion si la pile n’est pas remplacée de manière correcte. Remplacez uniquement la pile par une pile de même type ou de type équivalent.

Stand-by

La touche stand-by de la télécommande inMotion iM7 Altec Lansing peut être utilisée pour mettre l’unité sous tension et activer le mode de veille de l’unité. Une fois l’unité sous tension, une diode électroluminescente du système inMotion iM7 s’allume.

Volume

Les touches « + » et « – » de la télécommande repérées par le mot « volume » permettent de commander le volume général. Appuyez sur la touche « + » pour augmenter le niveau du volume et sur la touche « – » pour diminuer le niveau du volume.

Aigus

Les touches « + » et « – » de la télécommande repérées par le mot « treble » (aigus) commandent le niveau d’aigus. Appuyez sur la touche « + » pour augmenter le niveau des aigus et sur la touche « – » pour diminuer le niveau des aigus.

Basses

Les touches « + » et « – » de la télécommande repérées par le mot « bass » (basses) commandent le niveau des basses. Appuyez sur la touche « + » pour augmenter le niveau des basses et sur la touche « – » pour diminuer le niveau des basses.

Fonctions IPOD

Si un iPod est relié au système inMotion iM7 et que le système inMotion iM7 est sous tension, vous pouvez contrôler certaines fonctions iPod à l’aide de la télécommande du système inMotion iM7.

Remarque : La télécommande inMotion iM7 ne propose de fonctions de navigation entre les chansons que dans le cadre de l’utilisation d’iPod plus récents équipés du logiciel iPod version 2.1 ou plus récente.

1. Fonction Lecture/Pause : appuyez une fois sur la touche Lecture/Pause pour lancer la lecture de la chanson sélectionnée. Appuyez de nouveau sur la touche Lecture/Pause pour interrompre la lecture de la chanson.

2. Fonction Marche/Arrêt : maintenez la touche Lecture/Pause enfoncée pour mettre l’iPod hors tension. Appuyez sur la touche Lecture/Pause ou Lecture avant/Lecture arrière de la télécommande iM7 pour remettre l’iPod sous tension.

3. Fonction Lecture avant/Lecture arrière : appuyez une fois sur la touche Lecture avant pour passer directement au début de la chanson suivante. Maintenez la touche Lecture avant pour avancer rapidement dans la chanson. Appuyez une fois sur la touche Lecture arrière pour retourner au début de la chanson actuellement en cours de lecture. Maintenez la touche Lecture arrière pour rembobiner rapidement la chanson.

Assurez-vous que le câble stéréo de 3,5 mm est connecté et complètement inséré dans la prise « line-out » (sortie ligne), la prise « audio-out » (sortie audio) ou la prise pour casque d’écoute de la source audio.

Testez les enceintes sur une autre source audio en retirant le câble stéréo 3,5 mm de la source audio et en l’insérant dans la prise “ line-out “ (sort. ligne), la prise “ audio-out “ (sortie audio) ou la prise pour casque d’écoute d’une autre source audio (lecteur de CD, lecteur MP3, etc.).

Si l’iPod se trouve dans le socle de synchronisation, vériﬁez le branchement. Vériﬁez le branchement du câble stéréo 3,5 mm. Veillez à ce qu’il soit inséré dans la prise « line-out » (sort. ligne), la prise « audio-out » (sortie audio) ou la prise pour casque d’écoute de votre carte son ou de la source audio et NON à la prise « speaker-out » (sortie enceinte).

Débranchez le câble stéréo 3,5 mm de la source audio. Branchez-le ensuite dans la prise pour casque d’écoute d’une autre source audio (par exemple, lecteur de CD, lecteur MP3).

Appuyez sur la touche « – » du système iM7 ou de la télécommande iM7 pour diminuer le volume.

Les ﬁchiers .WAV et .MID sont souvent de mauvaise qualité. Il est donc facile de détecter les déformations et les bruits avec des enceintes puissantes. Essayez une autre source audio, telle qu’un CD musical, par exemple.

Vériﬁez le volume paramétré au niveau du système d’exploitation et diminuezle si nécessaire.

Déplacez vos enceintes aﬁn de voir si les interférences disparaissent.

Remplacez la pile.

Pointez la télécommande vers la fenêtre infrarouge du système inMotion, à une distance maximale de 15 pieds de l’unité.

Colocación del sistema INMotion IM7

Coloque el sistema inMotion iM7 sobre una superﬁcie plana y estable, preferiblemente cerca de usted.

Conexiones

Advertencia: No enchufe la fuente de alimentación universal del sistema de altavoces a la red eléctrica hasta no haber realizado todas las conexiones. Desactive además su iPod u otros dispositivos de audio portátiles antes de acoplarlos al sistema inMotion iM7.

iPods recientes:

• Abra el inMotion iM7 iPod cradle presionando la parte superior central de la puerta del cradle hasta que el mecanismo libere la puerta.

• Ajuste el iPod cradle moviendo la palanca del cradle a la posición que corresponda al tipo de iPod que se utiliza. Si se utiliza un iPod mini, localice el adaptador de cradle de iPod mini incluido y encájelo en la parte frontal del iPod mini.

• Coloque el iPod o iPod mini con adaptador de cradle en el inMotion iM7 iPod cradle y presione hasta que quede encajado en el conector del cradle.

para IPod Photo

Para conectar el iM7 a un monitor de televisión o un reproductor de vídeo, siga los pasos que se indican a continuación:

Alimentación

Alimentación CA

Una vez haya conectado el iPod u otro dispositivo de audio portátil al sistema inMotion iM7, inserte el conector de la fuente de alimentación universal en el conector marcado en la parte posterior del sistema inMotion iM7. Después de realizar esta conexión, enchufe la fuente de alimentación universal en la toma de la pared. Ahora ya puede utilizar el inMotion iM7.

Alimentación CC (pilas)

Nota: Para evitar escuchar un sonido agudo cuando encienda el sistema de altavoces inMotion iM7, ponga siempre en marcha antes el iPod u otro dispositivo de audio portátil.

Volumen

Los botones “+” y “–” del sistema inMotion iM7 son los controles de volumen principales del sistema de altavoces. Mantenga pulsado el botón “+” para subir el volumen y el botón “–” para disminuirlo.

Mando a distancia inalámbrico

Para utilizar el mando a distancia inalámbrico, instale la pilasuministrada en el compartimiento de pilas del mando a distancia.

PRECAUCIÓN

Hay peligro de explosión si la pila se coloca incorrectamente. Sustitúyala únicamente por otra del mismo tipo o equivalente.

Modo de Espera

Se puede utilizar el botón del modo en espera del mando a distancia del sistema Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 para encender la unidad y colocar la unidad en modo de espera. Un indicador LED se iluminará en el sistema inMotion iM7 cuando la unidad esté encendida.

Volumen

Funciones del IPOD

Cuando se acople un iPod en el sistema inMotion iM7 y éste esté encendido, algunas funciones del iPod pueden controlarse mediante el mando a distancia del sistema inMotion iM7.

Nota: El mando a distancia del inMotion iM7 proporcionará funciones de navegación de canciones únicamente con los iPods de última generación ejecutando la versión 2.1 ó posterior del software iPod.

1. Función Reproducir/Pausa: Pulse el botón de reproducción/pausa una vez para comenzar a reproducir la canción seleccionada. Pulse de nuevo el botón de reproducción/pausa para hacer una pausa en la canción.

2. Función de encendido/apagado: Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de reproducción/pausa para apagar el iPod. Pulse los botones de reproducción/ pausa o avanzar/retroceder en el mando a distancia del iM7 para volver a encender el iPod.

3. Función Avanzar/Retroceder: Pulse el botón de avance para saltar al principio de la siguiente canción. Pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón de avance para avanzar rápidamente por la canción. Coloque ocho pilas nuevas de tipo D en los compartimentos para pilas situados en la parte inferior del sistema inMotion iM7. Asegúrese de que las pilas se colocan en los compartimentos tal como se indica en la ilustración.

Pulse el botón de modo en espera (se encenderá el LED).

Apague el iPod, quítelo de la unidad de acoplamiento, vuelva a colocarlo y enciéndalo de nuevo.

Conecte el cable estéreo de 3,5 mm a la fuente de audio. Asegúrese de que el cable de señal esté bien insertado en las toma adecuada.

Asegúrese de que el cable estéreo de 3,5mm esté conectado e insertado completamente en la toma “line-out” (línea de salida) o “audio-out” (salida de audio) o en la toma para auriculares de la fuente de audio.

Pruebe los altavoces en otra fuente de audio. Pulse el botón “+” en el iM7 o en el mando a distancia inalámbrico del iM7 para bajar el volumen.

En ocasiones, los archivos WAV y MID son de calidad deﬁciente. Por este motivo, la distorsión y el ruido se perciben fácilmente con altavoces de alta potencia Pruébelo con otra fuente de audio como por ejemplo con un CD de música.

Compruebe el nivel de volumen del sistema operativo y bájelo si fuera necesario.

Cambie los altavoces de sitio para ver si desaparece la interferencia.

Sustituya las pilas.

Dirija el mando a distancia hacia la ventana de infrarrojos a una distancia de 4,5 m. de la unidad.

Insira a ﬁcha na tomada. A fonte de alimentação universal pode ser ligada ao contrário sem ter qualquer efeito no produto. Note que o sistema inMotion também pode ser ligado com oito pilhas D (não incluídas).

Instalação do sistema INMotion IM7

Ligação CC (pilhas)

Antes do seu iPod ou outro dispositivo áudio portátil ser ligado ao sistema inMotion iM7, instale oito pilhas D (não incluídas) nos compartimentos das pilhas na parte inferior do sistema inMotion iM7. Certiﬁque-se de que as pilhas estão instaladas nos compartimentos das baterias. Já pode utilizar o seu inMotion iM7.

Observação: Embora o modo de standby reduza efectivamente o consumo das pilhas, não desliga completamente o iM7. Para maximizar a duração das pilhas quando não estiver a utilizar o iM7, remova as pilhas do respectivo compartimento.

Quando é ancorado um iPod no sistema inMotion iM7e este é ligado, algumas funções do iPod podem ser controladas utilizando o controlo remoto do sistema inMotion iM7.

Observação: O controlo remoto do inMotion iM7 só oferece funções de navegação das músicas com iPods recentes que utilizem uma versão de software do iPod 2.1 ou posterior.

Posizionamento del sistema INMotion IM7

Posizionare il sistema inMotion iM7 su una superﬁcie piatta, collocandolo preferibilmente vicino alla propria postazione.

Cablaggio

Avvertenza: non inserire l’alimentatore del sistema di altoparlanti nella presa a muro prima di aver effettuato tutti i collegamenti. Inoltre, spegnere l’iPod o gli altri dispositivi audio portatili prima di posizionarlo nel dock del sistema inMotion iM7.

Modelli di iPod recenti:

• Aprire il supporto iPod del sistema inMotion iM7 premendo sulla parte superiore centrale della porta del supporto ﬁno a quando la porta non sia stata rilasciata.

• Regolare il supporto iPod, muovendo la leva del supporto nella posizione corrispondente al modello di iPod utilizzato. Se viene utilizzato un iPod mini, individuare l’adattatore per il supporto iPod mini incluso e ﬁssarlo sulla parte anteriore dell’iPod mini.

• Posizionare l’iPod o l’iPod mini sul supporto iPod del sistema inMotion iM7 e premere ﬁnché non sia completamente posizionato sul connettore del supporto.

• Chiudere il supporto iPod del sistema inMotion iM7 premendo sulla parte superiore centrale della porta ﬁno a quando il meccanismo di chiusura non la blocchi in posizione.

Alimentazione

Alimentazione a CA

Dopo aver collegato l’iPod o gli altri dispositivi audio portatili al sistema inMotion iM7, inserire il connettore a barilotto dell’alimentatore universale nel connettore contrassegnato con sulla parte posteriore del sistema inMotion iM7. Dopo di ciò, inserire l’alimentatore in una presa a muro. Sarà ora possibile utilizzare il sistema inMotion iM7.

Alimentazione a CC (batterie)

Prima di collegare l’iPod o gli altri dispositivi audio portatili al sistema inMotion iM7, installare otto batterie di tipo D (non incluse) nel vano batterie posto nella parte inferiore del sistema inMotion iM7. Assicurarsi che le batterie siano installate così come indicato nel vano batterie. Sarà ora possibile utilizzare il sistema inMotion iM7.

Nota: Sebbene la modalità stand-by riduca il consumo di batterie, essa non spegne del tutto l’iM7. Per prolungare la durata delle batterie quando il sistema iM7 non viene utilizzato, rimuovere le batterie.

Iniziare la riproduzione

1. Accendere l’iPod o gli altri dispositivi audio portatili.

2. Accendere il sistema inMotion iM7 Altec Lansing premendo il pulsante di standby sull’unità o sul telecomando. All’accensione del sistema si noterà un LED luminoso accanto al pulsante.

Nota: Per evitare di avvertire effetti di popping all’accensione del sistema inMotion iM7, accendere sempre prima la sorgente audio.

Volume

I pulsanti “+” e “–” presenti sul sistema inMotion iM7 sono i controlli del volume principale del sistema d’altoparlanti. Per alzare il volume tenere premuto il pulsante “+”, per abbassarlo tenere premuto il pulsante “–”.

Telecomando senza ﬁli

Per utilizzare il telecomando, installare la batteria in dotazione nel vano batterie del telecomando.

ATTENZIONE

Pericolo di esplosione se le batterie non vengono sostituite correttamente. Sostituirle esclusivamente con batterie dello stesso tipo o di tipo equivalente.

Stand-by

Funzionalità dell’IPod

Quando l’iPod è posizionato nel dock del sistema inMotion iM7 e il sistema è acceso, alcune funzionalità dell’iPod possono essere controllate utilizzando il telecomando.

Nota: il telecomando del sistema inMotion iM7 consente funzioni di navigazione dei brani solo con i modelli iPod più recenti con il software di iPod versione 2.1 o successive.

1. Play/Pausa: premere il pulsante Play/Pausa una volta per iniziare la riproduzione del brano selezionato. Premere nuovamente il pulsante Play/Pausa per mettere il brano in pausa.

Veriﬁcare il collegamento dell’iPod al dock. Veriﬁcare il collegamento del cavo stereo da 3,5 mm. Accertarsi che esso sia collegato alla presa “line-out”, “audio-out” o per cufﬁe della sorgente audio e NON alla presa “speaker-out”.

Scollegare il cavo stereo da 3,5 mm dalla sorgente audio, quindi inserirlo nella presa per cufﬁe di un’altra sorgente audio (ad es. lettore CD o MP3).

Premere il pulsante “–” sul sistema iM7 o sul telecomando per ridurre il volume.

I ﬁle .WAV e .MID molto spesso sono di qualità scadente, pertanto la distorsione e il rumore sono facilmente riscontrabili con altoparlanti a elevata potenza. Provare con una sorgente audio differente, come ad es. un CD audio.

Veriﬁcare il livello del volume nel sistema operativo del computer e diminuirlo, se necessario.

Spostare gli altoparlanti per veriﬁcare se l’interferenza sparisce.

Sostituire le batterie.

Orientare il telecomando verso il ricevitore a raggi infrarossi, entro un raggio di 4,5 m dal sistema.

8. Nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen wie z.B. Radiatoren, Warmlufteintrittsöffnungen, Öfen oder anderen wärmeerzeugenden Geräten (einschließlich Verstärkern) aufstellen. Sollte das Produkt über längere zeit hinweg Temperaturen über 76 Grad Celsius ausgesetzt sein, z.B. in einem geschlossenen Fahrzeug während des Sommers, so kann dies zu einer Beschädigung des Produkts führen.

9. Kein offenes Licht, wie z.B. brennende Kerzen, auf das Gerät stellen.

10. Umgehen Sie nicht den Sicherheitszweck des polarisierten bzw. geerdeten Steckers. Ein polarisierter Stecker verfügt über zwei Stifte, von denen einer breiter ist als der andere. Aufbau des INMotion IM7-Systems

Positionieren Sie das inMotion iM7-System auf einer stabilen, ebenen Oberﬂäche, vorzugsweise in Ihrer Nähe.

Herstellung von Verbindungen

Achtung: Stecken Sie das Netzkabel des Geräts nicht in die Steckdose, bis alle Verbindungen hergestellt wurden. Schalten Sie außerdem Ihren iPod oder Ihr anderes tragbares Audiogerät aus, bevor Sie es am inMotion iM7-System andocken.

Neuere iPods:

•Öffnen Sie die inMotion iM7 iPod-Fassung, indem oben in der Mitte auf die Türe der Fassung drücken, bis der Türmechanismus die Türe entriegelt.

• Passen Sie die iPod-Fassung an, indem Sie den Fassungshebel in die Position bringen, die dem Typ des verwendeten iPods entspricht. Wird ein iPod mini verwendet, dann verwenden Sie den beigefügten Fassungsadapter für den iPod mini und lassen Sie ihn auf der Vorderseite Ihres iPod minis einrasten.

• Setzen Sie Ihren iPod oder iPod mini mit dem Fassungsadapter in die inMotion iM7 iPod-Fassung und drücken Sie ihn herunter, bis er vollständig auf dem Fassungsverbindungsstecker sitzt.

• Schließen Sie die inMotion iM7 iPod-Fassung, indem Sie oben in der Mitte auf die Türe der Fassung drücken, bis der Türmechanismus einrastet.

Ältere iPods, iPod shufﬂe und andere tragbare Audiogeräte:

1. Suchen Sie das 3,5 mm Stereokabel, das mit diesem System geliefert wurde.

2. Verbinden Sie ein Ende des 3,5 mm Stereokabels mit der zusätzlichen Inputbuchse (AUX) auf der Rückseite des inMotion iM7-Systems und das andere Ende mit der Kopfhörer- oder Line-Out-Buchse Ihres tragbaren Audiogeräts.

Ferseher- oder Videorecorderverbindung

für IPod Photo

Das inMotion iM7-System enthält eine Durchgangsvideofunktion, die es Ihnen ermöglicht, Fotos von Ihrem iPod photo auf einem Fernsehgerät anzuzeigen, während der iPod photo am iM7 angedockt ist. Befolgen Sie die folgenden Schritte, um den iM7 mit einem Fernsehgerät oder einem Videorecorder zu verbinden:

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Stromzufuhr zu Ihrem Fernsehgerät oder Videorecorder unterbrochen ist.

des gemischtadrigen (RCA-) Kabels mit der entsprechenden Buchse für gemischtadrige (RCA-) Kabel auf der Rückseite des inMotion iM7-Systems und das andere Ende mit der gelben Eingangsbuchse für gemischtadrige (RCA-) Kabel an Ihrem Fernseher oder Videorecorder.

Nachdem Sie Ihren iPod oder Ihr anderes tragbares Audiogerät mit dem inMotion iM7-System verbunden haben, stecken Sie den Zylinderstecker des Netzkabels in das Verbindungsstück auf der Rückseite des inMotion iMmini-Systems mit der Aufschrift . Nachdem diese Verbindung hergestellt wurde, stecken Sie das Netzkabel in die Steckdose. Sie können nun Ihren inMotion iM7 verwenden.

Batteriebetrieb

Bevor Sie Ihren iPod oder Ihr anderes tragbares Audiogerät mit dem inMotion iM7-System verbinden, legen Sie acht D Mono-Batterien in das Batteriefach auf der Unterseite des inMotion iM7-Systems ein. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterien so eingelegt sind, wie es in den Batteriefächern beschrieben wird. Sie können nun Ihren inMotion iM7 verwenden.

Hinweis: Der Stand-by-Modus reduziert zwar die Belastung der Batterie, schaltet den iM7 jedoch nicht vollständig aus. Um die Haltbarkeit der Batterien zu verlängern, sollten Sie die Batterien aus dem Batteriefach entfernen, wenn Sie den iM7 nicht verwenden.

Mit dem Abspielen beginnen

1. Schalten Sie Ihren iPod oder Ihr anderes tragbares Audiogerät ein.

2. Schalten Sie das Altec Lansing inMotion iM7-System ein, indem Sie den Stand-byKnopf auf dem Gerät oder an der Fernbedienung drücken. Eine LED leuchtet neben dem Knopf auf, wenn das System aktiv ist.

Hinweis: Damit Sie kein Einschaltknacken hören, wenn Sie Ihr inMotion iM7System einschalten, schalten Sie Ihren iPod oder Ihr anderes tragbares Audiogerät immer zuerst ein.

Lautstärke

Die Knöpfe “+” und “–” auf dem inMotion iM7-System regeln die Gesamtlautstärke des Lautsprechersystems. Halten Sie den “+”-Knopf gedrückt, um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen und den “–”-Knopf, um sie zu reduzieren.

Kabellose Fernbedienung

Um die Fernbedienung zu verwenden, legen Sie bitte die beigefügte Batterie in das Batteriefach der Fernbedienung ein.

Listrik AC (arus bolak-balik)

Setelah iPod atau perangkat audio portabel lainnya dihubungkan ke sistem inMotion iM7, sisipkan konektor barrel dari catu daya universal ke dalam konektor yang bertanda di bagian belakang sistem inMotion iM7. Setelah sambungan dibuat, masukkan catu daya universal ke dalam stopkontak dinding. Sekarang Anda dapat menggunakan inMotion iM7.

Daya DC (Baterai)

Tombol stand-by pada remote control Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 dapat digunakan untuk menghidupkan unit dalam modus stand-by. LED akan menyala pada sistem inMotion iM7 bila unit sudah dihidupkan.

Volume

Tombol bertanda “+” dan “–” dengan kata “volume” pada remote control nirkabel, mengontrol volume master. Tekan tombol “+” untuk menambah volume dan tombol “–” untuk mengurangi volume.

Treble

Tombol bertanda “+” dan “–” dengan kata “treble” pada remote nirkabel, mengontrol treble. Tekan tombol “+” untuk menambah treble dan tombol “–” untuk mengurangi treble.

Bass

Tombol bertanda “+” dan “–” dengan kata “bass” pada remote nirkabel, mengontrol bass. Tekan tombol “+” untuk menambah bass dan tombol “–” untuk mengurangi bass.

Fungsi IPod

Bila iPod didok ke dalam sistem inMotion dan sistem inMotion iM7 dihidupkan, beberapa fungsi iPod dapat dikendalikan dengan menggunakan remote control sistem inMotion iM7.

Catatan: Remote control inMotion iM7 akan menyediakan fungsi navigasi lagu, hanya dengan iPod yang lebih baru yang menjalankan perangkat lunak iPod versi 2.1 atau yang lebih baru.

1. Fungsi Play/Pause (Putar/Tunda): Tekan tombol Play/Pause satu kali

untuk mulai memutar lagu yang dipilih. Tekan lagi tombol Play/Pause untuk menunda lagu.

2. Fungsi On/Off (Hidup/Mati): Tekan terus tombol Play/Pause untuk mematikan

iPod. Tekan tombol Play/Pause (Putar/Tunda) atau Track Forward/Track Back (Trek Maju/Trek Mundur) pada remote iM7 untuk mengaktifkan lagi iPod.

3. Fungsi Track Forward (Trek Maju)/Track Back (Trek Mundur): Tekan tombol Track

Forward untuk lompat ke awal lagu berikutnya. Tekan terus tombol Track Forward untuk bergerak maju melewati lagu. Tekan tombol Track Back untuk lompat ke awal lagu yang sedang diputar. Tekan terus tombol Track Back

untuk bergerak mundur ke awal lagu.

Colokkan piranti lain ke dalam stopkontak dinding (yang sama) untuk memastikan, apakah stopkontak berfungsi atau tidak.

Pasang delapan baterai D baru ke dalam wadah baterai yang terletak pada bagian dasar sistem inMotion iM7. Pastikan baterai dipasang seperti yang digambarkan dalam wadah baterai.

Matikan iPod, lepaskan dari docking station-nya, dudukkan kembali dalam docking station, kemudian hidupkan lagi.

Hubungkan kabel stereo 3,5mm ke sumber audio. Pastikan kabel sinyal dimasukkan dengan kokoh ke dalam jack yang tepat.

Pastikan kabel stereo 3,5mm dihubungkan dan masuk sepenuhnya ke dalam “line-out”, “audio-out”, atau jack headphone pada sumber audio Anda.

Tes pengeras suara pada sumber audio lainnya dengan melepaskan kabel stereo 3,5mm dari sumber audio dan hubungkan ke “line-out”, “audio-out” atau jack headphone sumber audio yang berbeda (e.g., CD player, MP3 player).

Periksa sambungan, apakah iPod ada di dalam docking station. Periksa sambungan kabel stereo 3,5mm. Pastikan kabel terhubung ke “line-out”, “audio-out”, atau jack headphone pada sumber audio-dan BUKAN pada “speaker-out”.

Tekan tombol “–” pada iM7 atau remote control nirkabel iM7 untuk mengurangi volume.

Mutu ﬁle WAV dan MID sering tidak bagus, karena itu, gangguan dan derau mudah terdengar pada pengeras suara berdaya tinggi. Cobalah sumber audio yang berbeda seperti CD musik.

Periksa tingkat volume sistem pengoperasian dan kurangi jika perlu.

Pindahkan pengeras suara Anda, apakah gangguannya hilang.

Ganti baterai.

Arahkan Remote Control ke jendela IR, dalam jarak 15 kaki dari unit.
