The lightning flash with arrowhead, within an

equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the
presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the

your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for
the replacement of the obsolete outlet.

11. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched — particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

12. Do not install in an area which impedes the access to the power plug. Disconnecting the
power plug is the only way to completely remove power to the product and must be
readily accessible at all times.

What Will Altec Lansing Do To Correct The Problem?: Altec Lansing will, at its option, repair or
replace any product that proves to be defective in material or workmanship. If your product is
no longer being manufactured, or is out of stock, at its option, Altec Lansing may replace your
product with a similar or better Altec Lansing product.

How To Get Warranty Service: To get a covered product repaired or replaced, you must contact

and a complete description of the problem you are experiencing. In the United States, you may

Placing the INMotion IM11

Position the inMotion iM11 on a level surface, preferably close to you
(within three feet).

Assembling the INMotion IM11

Place the appropriate iPod docking adapter inside the docking bay.
iPod docking adapters are labeled for iPod identification.

Note: Alternate audio sources — such as non-dockable iPods, CD
players, MP3 players, portable DVD players, and laptops — can also
be connected to the inMotion iM11. For more information, see the
“Connecting to alternate audio source” section.

Power

Use one of the following two options to power your inMotion iM11:

AC (Wall outlet) Power

Insert the barrel connector from the power supply into the DC
connector on the rear of the inMotion iM11. After this connection is
made, insert the power supply into a wall outlet.

DC (Battery) Power

Install four AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartments
on the bottom of the inMotion iM11 (two to each compartment).
Make sure the batteries are installed as illustrated in the battery
compartments.

Start Playing

1. Turn on your iPod.

2. Turn on the inMotion iM11 by pushing the power button located on
the top of the unit. A blue LED will light around the button when the
power is on.

Note: To avoid hearing a popping sound when you turn on your
inMotion iM11, always turn on your audio source first.

Power Off

Turn off the inMotion iM11 by pushing the power button located on
the top of the unit. The LED will turn off.

Auto Shut-down (Standby)

The inMotion iM11 automatically shuts down if no audio is detected
for three minutes.

NOTE: The Auto Shut-down (Standby) feature is active during battery­only operation. If the AC wall adapter is used, the inMotion iM11 will
remain on as long as the power switch is in the “On” position.

Connecting to alternate audio source

The inMotion iM11 system includes an auxiliary input jack that allows
you to connect to alternate audio sources, such as non-dockable iPods,
CD players, MP3 players, portable DVD players, and laptops. To connect
the iM11 to an alternate audio source, follow the steps below.

1. Locate a 3.5 mm stereo cable (sold separately).

2. Connect one end of the 3.5 mm stereo cable into the auxiliary input
jack (AUX) located on the back of the inMotion iM11 system, and the
other end to the headphone or line out jack on your alternate audio
device.

3. Set the volume on the audio source at mid-level.

4. Set the volume on the inMotion iM11 at minimum level and adjust
upward to a comfortable listening level.

Armado del sistema INMotion IM11

Coloque el adaptador apropiado de acople del iPod dentro del módulo
de acople. Los adaptadores de acople iPod están etiquetados para

Nota: Las fuentes de audio alternativas — como los iPod no
acoplables, reproductores de CD, reproductores MP3, reproductores

Encendido

Use una de las siguientes dos opciones para encender su sistema
inMotion iM11:

Alimentación de CA (Tomacorriente de pared)

Inserte el conector cilíndrico de la fuente de suministro en el conector
de CC ubicado en la parte posterior del sistema inMotion iM11.
Después de hacer esta conexión, inserte la fuente de suministro en
un tomacorriente de pared.

Suministro de potencia CC (Batería)

Instale cuatro baterías AA (no incluidas) en el compartimiento de
baterías ubicado en la parte inferior del sistema inMotion iM11 (dos en
cada compartimiento). Tenga cuidado de instalar las baterías tal como
se indica en el compartimiento de baterías.

Inicie la reproducción

1. Encienda su iPod

2. Encienda el sistema inMotion iM11 pulsando el botón de encendido

ubicado en la parte superior de la unidad. Un indicador LED azul se
iluminará alrededor del botón cuando el sistema se encuentre
encendido.

Nota: Para evitar escuchar un ruido seco cuando encienda su sistema
inMotion iM11, siempre encienda primero la fuente de audio.

Apagado

Apague el sistema inMotion iM11 pulsando el botón de encendido
ubicado en la parte superior de la unidad. El indicador LED se apagará.

El sistema inMotion iM11 se apagará automáticamente (en espera) si
no se detecta señal de audio después de transcurridos tres minutos.

NOTA: La función Auto Shut-down (Apagado automático) (En espera)
está activa solamente durante la operación con batería. Si se utiliza el
adaptador de CA de pared, el sistema inMotion iM11 permanecerá
encendido mientras el interruptor de encendido se encuentre en la
posición “On” (Encendido).

Conexión a una fuente de audio alternativa

El sistema inMotion iM11 incluye una clavija auxiliar de entrada que le
permite conectarse a fuentes de audio alternativas, como los iPod no
acoplables, reproductores de CD, reproductores MP3, reproductores
portátiles de DVD, y computadoras portátiles. Para conectar el sistema
iM11 a una fuente de audio alternativa, siga los pasos que se indican a
continuación.

1. Ubique un cable estéreo de 3.5 mm (se vende por separado).

2. Conecte un extremo del cable estéreo de 3.5 mm en la clavija auxiliar

de entrada (AUX) ubicada en la parte posterior del sistema inMotion
iM11, y el otro extremo al audífono o clavija de la línea de salida de su
dispositivo de audio alternativo.

3. Fije el volumen de la fuente de audio a un nivel medio.
