The geriatric call cord(s) shall be Alpha Communications®
/ TekTone model SF401GP or approved equal. Model SF401GP shall
include a single pad for call origination.

The call cord shall permit simple call origination and shall be
acceptable for use in Oxygen, Geriatric or general applicat ions.

The momentary c ontac t, (non-powered) pneumatically act ivated
switc h shall be built into the plug and shall be act ivated by a
slight pressure to t he pad. An 8' (2.44m) long vinyl tube shall
connect the pad to the 8-pin DIN plug. A stainless st eel bed c lamp
shall be permanently affixed to the c all cord, but shall
be adjustable along the length of the c ord. An integral 8-pin 'DIN'
type connector shall be provided. The SF401GP shall be provided
with a flattened 3.5" diameter soft vinyl pad with gripping feet on
the bot tom, to prevent it from slipping off of the patient's bed.
The SF401GP shall be able to be ac tivated by a slight pressure
from the patient's hand, arm, body or chin.

Call cord shall be UL Listed 1069 and Listed to CSA C22.2 No. 205;

The Alpha Communications® / TekTone SF401GP Call Cord is for
use with the NC300 and NC300II nurse-c all systems where an 8-
pin 'DIN' type jac k is used at the patient bed station(s). Typically
they are used with the IR319B and/or IR320B patient st ations.

The SF401GP Call Cord is specifically designed for use in Geriatric
and Oxygen environments, but may also be used in
general applic at ions. To place a c all, the patient need only apply
slight pressure to t he pad using any part of t he body. The

SF401GP has a mechanical switc h that is act ivated by slight

pressure from the hand, arm or body and can even be positioned
under the patient's chin. The round, flatt ened soft vinyl pad has
gripping feet to prevent it from slipping off of the patient's bed. An
adjustable bed c lip is supplied for the SF401GP and is at tached to
the c all cord.
