SF31-Series Pillow Speakers

The Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone SF31 series Pillow Speakers are used with t he

NC300II IR311 series and IR312 series patient stations. T he pillow speakers provide c all

placement to the master st ation, as well as remote control for hospital-grade digital TVs
(Zenith is standard; RCA and Philips are available by special order). When used in
conjunction with t he appropriate pillow speaker modules, the pillow speakers also supply
two- way, hands- free c ommunicat ion with the master stat ion, and automatic silencing of
TV audio while the intercom is in use.

Push buttons are provided to c all the nurse, plus T V power, c hannel select ion up/down,
Closed Captioning, mute and two light controls. Buttons are also provided for volume
up/down (analog volume cont rols are available by special order), and for direct
channel ac cess (in some models).

Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

Digital Pillow Speaker(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / TekTone SF31 series or approved
equal, and shall be suitable for use in general or oxygen environments.

The pillow speaker case shall be construct ed of flame retardant high-impac t ABS plastic.
The pillow speaker cord shall be eight feet long and shall have an 8-pin 8P8C plug at the
end. Each pillow speaker shall be provided with a security c lip.

Controls shall be provided for volume, nurse call, light, and television functions. The pillow
speaker shall be capable of switc hing automatically from entertainment audio to interc om
audio when used with t he appropriate modules. T he pillow speaker shall be elec trost atic
discharge (ESD) protected t o over 12,000 volts.

The SF31 series shall be UL® 1069 Listed.
