Specifications

Monitor Call Interfac e shall be Alpha
Communications®/TekTone JK300A,

JK300/2 or approved equal. The JK300A

shall be used to connec t the 'monitor'
input of an IR300 series or IR400-P5
series station to an external dry contact
closure.

The JK300A and JK300/2 shall acc ept a
1/4" phono type plug and will place a
'MONITOR' call at the master station(s), if
plug is removed or 'normally open' dry
contact is activated (c losed).
Dummy plugs shall be provided for use
when the external device is not
connected.

Component s shall be mounted on a flame­retardant (UL® 94V-0) plastic faceplate
with wire lead pigtail connec tions. The
unit shall be housed in a single
gang elect rical box or plaster ring.

national elect rical and building codes.

JK300A / JK300/2 Monitor Call Interface

The JK300A Monitor Call Interface is for use in applications where a simple interface is
needed to connect the 'monitor' input of an IR300 series or IR400-P5 series stat ion to an
external dry contact c losure. The JK300A will ac c ept a standard 1/4" phono type plug input
and will register a 'MONITOR' call, if plug is removed, or if the 'normally open' dry contac t
closure is ac tivat ed (c losed). A 1/4" 'dummy plug' is included for use when the monitor point
is not c onnected t o an external device. T he JK300/2 Monitor Call Interface provides two (2)
1/4" jacks and two (2) dummy plugs.

The JK300A is typically used with the HC345C, NC300, NC300II and TC400-P5 systems.
The JK300A and JK300/2 are not designed for use in a shower or 'moist' environment.
