Architects' And Engineers' SpecificationsArchitects' And Engineers' Specifications

Patient Station(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / T ektone

IR319B, IR320B, or approved equal. Stations, and wiring from the

Central Processing Equipment (CPE) t o st ations, shall be fully
supervised. The patient stat ion(s) shall include solid st ate.
LSI/microprocessor technology, yellow call-placed indicator(s), and
combination red in-use indicators and reset butt ons. Single patient
stat ion(s) shall include one 8-pin 'Din' type jac k recept ac le
for patient's call c ord. Dual patient station(s) shall include two (2)
8-pin 'Din' type jac k receptacles.

The stat ion(s) shall use a 2.50" x 2.50" speaker/microphone for
accurate voice reproduction. Removal of t he c all cord from the
recept acle shall result in placing a call with the indicat ion of 'CORD
OUT' at the master st ation video monitor. T he c all can be reset
only by replacing the call c ord in its receptac le.

All stations components shall be mounted on an att ract ive flame
retardant ABS white plastic fac eplate. Connect ions shall be plug-in
type.

The IR319B/IR320B shall be UL 1069 listed to the latest 4th Edition
Standards.

The IR319B Single Patient St ation provides reliable two
way, hands-free communicat ion between patient and nurse, and
provides for programmable privacy, paging, and pat ient
priority from the master station.

Calling the nurse is ac c omplished by pressing the area
indicated "NURSE" on the pillow speaker or by depressing the
button on the call c ord. Solid-state LED lamps on the fac eplate
indicate the c all has been plac ed and when the intercom is in use.

If the pillow speaker or call cord is accidentally removed from
its rec eptacle, the nurse master station video monitor register
a noncancelable c all with "CORD OUT" indication. The call may be
reset only by returning the call cord or pillow speaker to
its rec eptacle. The pillow speaker also provides the pat ient
with television controls (depending upon pillow speaker being
used).

The IR320B Dual-Pat ient St ation has the same spec ificat ions and
funct ions as t he IR319B, with the additions of one additional c all
cord/pillow receptacle t hat operates independently, and
one additional call-placed indicator.
