Specifications

Multi-Purpose Station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / TekTone IR300E and shall be
designed to provide audible, visual, and digital
communication to and from the central
processing equipment, including the nurses'
master stat ion/CRT. Eac h multipurpose stat ion
shall be capable of supporting remot e devic es
such as switc hes, contact c losures, speakers, or
other signal originating devices. No operator
controls or indicat ors shall be provided with the
multipurpose station. All st ation electronics shall
be mounted on an attractive flame retardant fog
white ABS plastic fac eplate. All connections shall
be plug-in type. The IR300E and wiring from the
central processor shall be fully supervised.

The IR300E shall be U.L. 1069 listed to the
latest 4th Edition St andards. Contractor shall
observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

IR300E Multi Purpose Station

The IR300E Multi-Purpose St ation provides for audible, visual, and digital
communications to and from the NC300 and/or NC300II system CPE when rec eiving
or sending signals to remotely connec ted devices. The IR300E includes inputs for
contact c losures and all types of NC300 and/or NC300II syst em emergency c all
switc hes. It also provides outputs to speakers or paging amps, and dome or zone
lamps. It does not have controls, LED's or speakers normally associated with
NC300/NC300II patient, staff or duty stations.

Some practical applications for the IR300E are as follows: provides input for several
code emergency call st ations in an ICU; a PA amp interfac e for t he nurse call
master; a control point for exit/entry doors and narcotic s c abinets; provides input
for bath emergency call stations in public bath areas; provides input/output t o a
remot e door interc om st ation for ac c ess c ontrol.
