Apartment stat ions shall be Alpha
Communications® / T ekTone model

IR103E, IR104E, or IR105E or approved

equal, equipped with momentary ac t ion
push-butt ons for TALK, LISTEN, and DOOR
operation. Each push-button shall have
both English and Universal Graphic Symbol
imprinting as well as braille symbols. The
speaker/microphone shall be a 2.5" high­sensitivity type with voice-frequency
response. Sc rew terminal connect ions
shall be provided for positive wiring
termination. The station shall be molded of
high-impact, flame retardant ABS plastic,
in a white finish.

Required wiring shall be only 2 c ommon - 1
selective wires for the IR103E; 3 common

- 1 selective for the IR104E; and 4
common - 1 select ive for t he IR105E
stat ion. See act ual syst em wiring diagram
(IL826) for c omplete wiring details.

Contractor shall observe all local and
national elect rical and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone IR103E/IR104E/IR105E are apartment st ations
which c ombine modern styling with ease of operat ion to provide natural, c lear voice
communicat ion and positive door-release operation. T he white, high-impact, ABS plastic
fac eplate blends with any dec or. T he advanc ed c ircuitry and versatility permits use in
large or small buildings, with one or several entrances.

A wide variety of opt ional acc essories is available to provide additional functions such as
multiple entrance operation, post office door release, security alarm, et c.

With its new, slim, fac e plate design, these stations c an now be fully surface mounted,
without the need for or the added expense of a separate surface bac k box.
