The 24-input RS232 Decoder Board(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® IN024A or equivalent. T he IN024A shall be
activated by c apturing the voltage(s) generated by cont act
closures or voltages generated, and sending the proper
RS232 data to a PC which is running VisitorVerifier™
or AlphaEntry™ (or other) Alpha Communications® software.

The cont ract or shall also furnish and install the required KE-

PWR5/2A (5VDC) power supply, MTA100-13-12 wiring harness

cable and RS232 cable to c onnec t the IN024A to t he PC's
serial input port (or USB port with the proper adapter).

All wiring to relay shall be low-voltage Class II wiring, installed as
per all federal, stat e, and local electrical and building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® IN024A 24-input Decoder Boards are
used for a variety of applications. T he primary use is for c apturing
up to 24 voltage (or dry c ontact ) inputs from an entry interc om or
call st ation (or up to 144 when used in a matrix c onfiguration with
some additional components), and sending the proper RS232 data
to a PC which is running VisitorVerifier™ or AlphaEntry™ (or
other) Alpha Communications® software.

The IN024A boards are designed to easily surface mount right onto
the finished wall by using the mounting holes provided for sc rew
mounting, along with the provided plastic st and-offs.

Connect ions are positive sc rew t erminal and plug-in type.
