The surface- mount single-gang plastic back box shall be Alpha
Communications® IHS527 or approved equal. The IHS527 shall be
of ABS plastic c onstruction for durability and for unhindered
wireless signal transmission. The IHS527 shall be used in wireless
applications for mounting the various Emergency Call Stations and
their respect ive Wireless Support Modules. Mounting holes shall be
provided on the removable bac kplate for easy mounting to the
finished wall, and on the front for easy mounting of t he emergency
stat ion to the IHS527 back box. The back box(es) shall be a two­piece const ruction to allow for quicker battery replacement in the
future, without requiring the removal of the emergency call st ation
on the front of the back box. One-piece units without this feature
shall not be ac c eptable.

The Alpha Communicat ions® IHS527 Surface- Mount Single-Gang
Plastic Back Box is for use with t he AlphaEcall™ 200 Series
Wireless Emergency Call System(s). T he bac k box is used to
surface mount t he various AlphaEcall™ 200 Series Wireless
stat ions and devices.

The IHS527 is const ructed of durable ABS plastic to coordinate
with the emergency switc hes, and does not interfere with wireless
transmission signals. T he bac k box includes mounting holes on the
back for attachment to the wall. Typically, the Wireless Support
Module is placed inside the IHS527, and then t he Wireless
Emergency St ation is attached to the mounting holes on t he front
of t he IHS527.

The IHS527 is made in an exclusive two-piec e design, allowing for
much quicker battery c hanges going forward, without the need for
removing the calling station from the box.

the c omponents are add-ons to previously sold systems. Alpha
Communications® will also not warrant or support a system that is
a mix of Alpha Communications® and Non-Alpha Communications®
parts, unless prior written permission has been obtained. In order
to track our systems and to inform facilities of software upgrades,
full site information (site name, address and phone number) will be
required when ordering. Site information and AEC200DM warranty
number will also be required when requesting tec hnical support.
