Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The surface- mount single-gang plast ic bac k box shall be Alpha
Communications® / TekTone IH527 or approved equal. The IH527
shall be of plastic c onstruction for durability and for unhindered
wireless signal t ransmission. T he IH527 shall be used in wireless
applic ations for mounting the SF337C Waterproof Emergency
Switch with the SF527ES Wireless Support Module, or for mounting
the SF340B Emergency Switc h with t he SF528ES Wireless Support
Module. Mounting holes shall be provided on t he bac k for easy
mounting to the wall, and on the front for easy mounting of the
emergency switc h to the IH527 back box.

TekTone® has designed the Tek- CARE®500 (TC500) t o work as a
system. Its NC501ES Master Stat ion Computer has been carefully
designed and matc hed t o work with Tek-CARE®500 wireless and
wired peripherals. TekTone® will not warrant or support
components of Tek-CARE®500 t hat are purchased separately
unless the c omponents are add-ons to previously sold systems.
TekTone® will also not warrant or support a system that is a mix
of TekTone® and Non-TekTone® parts, unless prior written
permission has been obtained. In order to t rack our syst ems and
to inform facilities of software upgrades, full site informat ion (site
name, address and phone number) will be required when ordering.
Site information and NC501ES warranty number will also be
required when requesting t echnical support.

IH527 Surface-Mount Single-Gang Plastic Back Box

The Alpha Communicat ions® / TekTone IH527 Surfac e-
Mount Single-Gang Plastic Bac k Box is for use with the
TekCARE®500 Wireless Emergency Call System. The back box is
used to surface mount t he SF527ES/SF337C Waterproof
Emergency Switch assembly and the SF528ES/SF340B Emergency
Switch assembly.

The IH527 is constructed of durable ABS plast ic t o coordinate with
the emergency switches, and does not interfere with wireless
transmission signals. The bac k box includes mounting holes on the
back for attachment to the wall. The SF527ES or SF528ES
Wireless Support Module is placed inside the IH527, and then t he

SF337C or SF340B Emergency Switc h (respec tively) is at tached t o

the mounting holes on the front of t he IH527.
