The handset st ation shall be Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™

HT3003/2 (5-Wire) or HT3009/2 (2-Wire), in (White, Titanium or

Anthracite) c olor. Handset shall be surface mounted (or flush or
desktop with optional adapter). Handset shall feature electret
condenser microphone for exceptional voice fidelity. Handsets that
include carbon transmitter or other older voice t echnologies shall
not be acceptable. Handsets shall feature Full-Duplex Voice
Operation (for HT3003 series) and Half- Duplex Voice Operation (for

HT3009 series). Handset shall have a t extured finish and high-

quality coil cord. Handset shall include a door release (KEY
SYMBOL) button and auxiliary (DOT) push button. Push buttons
shall be clearly visible and shall be marked in a different color.
Handset shall include a built-in AC buzzer (or optional

R2007 AlphaTone™ adapter).

Contractor shall furnish and install the system amplifier/control
unit, door station(s) and any other c omponents required for
complete syst em operation.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communicat ions® / S.T .R.™ HT3003 and HT3009 Series
handsets are designed to work as an apartment type handset
intercom stat ion or for industrial and commercial building entry
applications.

Choose from White or Anthracite (Charcoal) or T itanium
(Silver/Grey) in either a 5-Wire (HT3003/2) or 2-Wire (HT3009/2)
configuration, depending upon the system in which it is being
used.

These attractive handset s easily surface mount right on the
wall or over a single gang flush elect rical back box (or plaster ring).
Handsets c an be changed t o desk mount with the addition of
a model TZ1003 desk adapter, or can be flush mounted with
the addition of a Model UM3004 flush housing/trim assembly.

All HT3003 and HT3009 series handsets feature textured finish (to
minimize scratches and fingerprints), elect ric buzzer signalling,
high quality (replaceable) coiled c ord and (2) two momentary
button switc hes. These switc hes c an be used for door release,
paging or other signaling functions, depending upon system
configuration.

With the addition of a low-c ost Model R2007 AlphaTone™ c hime
adapter, you can easily change the built- in elect ric buzzer to
a modern warble chime tone sound.
