MAIN CPU OPERATION

The Main CPU (IC651 : CXP80720-* * * Q) always performs the following during operation which can be checked at IC651 terminal.

(1) Key matrix sensing (KS2/KS3)

  • ② Serial communications with the FL display drive IC (FLCS/FLSCK/FLSO/FLSI)
  • Since the memory is backed up (for a nominal of 60 minutes) in G100, DK975 and DK925 series models, the Main CPU is active even after the AC cord is unplugged. (However, no signal is output because the sleep mode is entered, not normal operation). Therefore, the unit may not operate normally if the AC cord is plugged in after the unit has been serviced (for example, when parts are replaced or a harness is unplugged and reinserted). If signals in ① and ② above are not output, reset the Main CPU to start it. Use tweezers, etc. to short the RST pin on the Main CB to ground to reset it.

Connection Pin (48) of IC651 (FL CS)

Communications are repeated cyclically. A total of 24 words are used in one communications session divided into 4 units of 1 + 8 + 8 + 7

Connection Pin (47) of IC651 (FL SCK)

ENLARGEMENT

Connection Pin (46) of IC651 (FL SO)

FLSO

FL display/LED indication data with which the Main CPU instructs the FL driver.

Connection Pin (45) of IC651 (FL SI)

• FLSI

Front key input data that the FL driver transfers to the Main CPU.
