Queridos clientes,

Antes de poner en servicio vuestro nuevo aparato refrigerador, os rogamos
que leáis detenidamente estas instrucciones de uso. Contienen información
importante para una utilización segura, para la instalación y para el cuida­do del aparato.

Guardad siempre las instrucciones de uso para consultarlas cada vez que lo
consideréis conveniente en el futuro. Entregad este manual al eventual
futuro propietario del aparato.

Advertencia: Este manual vale para modelos técnicos parecidos, que se dis­tinguen sólo en los accesorios. Prestad atención a las referencias que ata­ñen a vuestro aparato.

Con el triángulo de aviso y/o mediante señales con palabras (¡Advertencia!,
¡Precaución!, ¡Atención!), se resaltan algunas advertencias muy importan­tes para vuestra seguridad o para la funcionalidad de vuestro aparato. Es
terminantemente necesario ajustarse a cuanto sigue.

Después de este signo hay informaciones muy importantes acerca del con­trol y las utilizaciones prácticas del aparato.

Con la flor se indican consejos y advertencias importantes acerca de una
utilización económica y tolerable para el medio ambiente.

Si se presentaran eventuales inconvenientes, en las instrucciones de uso
encontraréis unas advertencias acerca de reparaciones que podéis efectuar
por cuenta vuestra; ver epígrafe “Qué hacer si...”. Si dichas advertencias no
bastaran, nuestro Servicio Técnico está siempre a completa disposición
vuestra.

Seguridad

La seguridad de nuestros aparatos cumple los reglamentos técnicos aproba­dos y la ley de seguridad de los aparatos. No obstante esto, consideramos
oportuno facilitar vuestra familiaridad con las siguientes advertencias:

Utilización conforme a la finalidad prevista

• El aparato frigorífico es apto para una utilización doméstica. Es apto para
enfriar, congelar y sobrecongelar productos alimentarios y para preparar
helados. Es apto para congelar y conservar productos alimentarios y hela­dos.

• Por motivos de seguridad no se permite en ningún caso aportar modifi­caciones o transformaciones al aparato.

• Si se desea utilizar el aparato frigorífico en ámbito empresarial o para fina­lidades que no sean la refrigeración o congelación de productos alimen­tarios, se ruega ajustarse a las disposiciones de ley vigentes para vuestro
sector.

Antes de la primera puesta en servicio

• Verificar que el aparato no presente eventuales daños debidos al trans­porte. ¡No conectar a la red, en ningún caso, un aparato estropeado! Si
presenta daños dirigirse al proveedor.

Sustancia refrigerante

El aparato contiene, en el circuito refrigerante, un gas natural denominado
Isobutano (R600a), altamente tolerado por el medio ambiente, pero que de
todas maneras es inflamable.

• Durante el transporte y la instalación del aparato se debe prestar atención
en no estropear ningún elemento del circuito refrigerante.

• En caso de daños al circuito refrigerante:

– evitar terminantemente las llamas libres y las fuentes de ignición;
– proporcionar a una buena ventilación en el sitio donde se encuentra el

aparato.

Seguridad de los niños

• Los elementos del embalaje (por ej. hojas de plástico, poliestireno) pueden
ser peligrosos para los niños. ¡Peligro de sofocación! ¡Mantener el mate­rial de embalaje fuera del alcance de los niños!

• Los aparatos que no se van a utilizar más, antes de desguazarlos, se deben
poner inutilizables. Desenchufar la clavija, cortar el cable de red, sacar o
destruir los eventuales cierres de bloqueo. De esta manera se evita que

niños puedan quedar encerrados en el aparato mientras juegan (¡Peligro
de sofocación!) y se evita que puedan encontrarse en otras situaciones
peligrosas para su vida.

• Muy a menudo los niños no se dan cuenta de los peligros a que se expo­nen mientras manejan aparatos domésticos. Por tanto es necesario tomar
todas las medidas adecuadas de salvaguardia, y también ¡es necesario
impedir que los niños jueguen con dichos aparatos!

En el servicio diario

• Los contenedores de gases inflamables o de líquidos, por efecto del frío
pueden perder su estanqueidad. ¡Peligro de explosiones! No guardar nun­ca contenedores con sustancias inflamables, como por ejemplo aerosoles,
encendedores y cartuchos de abastecimiento, etc. en el frigorífico.

• Las botellas y las latas no se deben poner nunca en el congelador. Podrí­an explotar tan pronto se congela su contenido, mientras que los líquidos
que contienen anhídrido carbónico (bebidas con gas) ¡pueden llegar a
estallar! No poner nunca en el congelador limonada, zumos de fruta, cer­veza, vino, cava, etc. Hacen excepción: las bebidas superalcohólicas que se
pueden poner en el congelador.

• No tragarse los helados ni los cubitos de hielo recién sacados del conge­lador. El helado o el hielo muy fríos se pueden congelar en contacto con
la lengua o los labios provocando heridas.

• No tocar los productos congelados con las manos mojadas. Las manos se
podrían congelar sobre el producto.

• No utilizar nunca pequeños electrodomésticos (por ej. máquinas eléctricas
para hacer helados, batidoras, etc.) dentro del frigorífico.

• Antes de efectuar las operaciones de limpieza es necesario apagar el apara­to, desenchufar la clavija de la toma de red, o quitar el fusible.

• Desenchufar la clavija de la toma de red agarrándola siempre por el cuer­po de la clavija y nunca tirando del cable.

En caso de inconvenientes

• Si en el aparato se produjera un inconveniente se ruega leer las instruc­ciones bajo el epígrafe “Qué hacer si...”. Si dichas instrucciones no basta­ran hay que abstenerse de efectuar ulteriores operaciones de reparación.

• Los aparatos frigoríficos deben ser reparados exclusivamente por personal
especializado. Las reparaciones incorrectas pueden acarrear notables ries­gos. En caso de necesitar una reparación, se ruega dirigirse al propio pro­veedor o a un centro de asistencia autorizado.

Eliminación

Información sobre el embalaje del aparato

Todos los materiales de producción utilizados ¡son tolerados por el ambien­te! Se pueden tirar tranquilamente a la basura o pueden ser incinerados en
las plantas para basuras urbanas. En cuanto a los materiales de producción:
Los materiales sintéticos también se pueden reciclar y vienen marcados
como sigue:
>PE< para el polietileno, por ej. en el envoltorio exterior y en las bolsas
internas.
>PS< para el poliestireno expandido, por ej. en los elementos embutidos, en
general exento de propulsores.
Las piezas de cartón están realizadas con papel reciclado y es preciso echar­las a los contenedores destinados a la recogida del papel.

Desguace de aparatos viejos

Para proteger el medio ambiente es necesario desguazar los aparatos viejos
de una manera adecuada. Esto vale también para vuestro aparato que haya
terminado de prestar su servicio.

Atención! Los aparatos que ya no sirven más, antes de desguazarlos se
deben poner inutilizables. Desenchufar la clavija, cortar el cable de red, sacar
o destruir los eventuales cierres de bloqueo. De est manera se evita que
niños puedan quedar encerrados en el aparato mientras juegan (¡Peligro de
sofocación!) y se evita que puedan encontrarse en otras situaciones peligro­sas para su vida.

Advertencias acerca del desguace :

• El aparato no debe ser tirado a la basura sino que debe ser entregado a
organizaciones autorizadas para su eliminación.

• El circuito refrigerante, en particular el intercambiador de calor situado en
la parte inferior del aparato, no se debe estropear.

• El símbolo en el producto o en su embalaje indica que este produc­to no se puede tratar como desperdicios normales del hogar. Este produc­to se debe entregar al punto de recolección de equipos eléctricos y elec­trónicos para reciclaje. Al asegurarse de que este producto se deseche
correctamente, usted ayudará a evitar posibles consecuencias negativas
para el ambiente y la salud pública, lo cual podría ocurrir si este produc­to no se manipula de forma adecuada. Para obtener información más
detallada sobre el reciclaje de este producto, póngase en contacto con la
administración de su ciudad, con su servicio de desechos del hogar o con
la tienda donde compró el producto.

Quitar el seguro para el transporte

El aparato y los accesorios internos están protegidos para el transporte.

• Quitar las cintas adhesivas situadas en los lados de la puerta

• Quitar todas las cintas adhesivas y los elementos de bloqueo de dentro del
aparato.

Si fuese inevitable instalar el aparato al lado de una fuente de calor, es nece­sario mantener las siguientes distancias mínimas:

– de los hornos eléctricos 3 cm;
– de las estufas de queroseno y leña 30 cm.
Si no fuese posible mantener dichas distancias mínimas, es necesario poner

una plancha protectora contra el calor entre el horno y el frigorífico.

Clase climática para temperaturas ambiente

SN desde +10 hasta +32 °C

N desde +16 hasta +32 °C

ST desde +18 hasta +38 °C

T desde +18 hasta +43 °C

Instalación

Lugar de instalación

Es preciso colocar el aparato en un sitio bien ventilado y seco.
La temperatura ambiente influye mucho sobre el consumo de corriente. Por

tanto el aparato no debería:
– quedar expuesto directamente a los rayos del sol;
– ser puesto al lado de elementos caloríficos, de un horno o de otras fuen-

tes de calor similares;

– mientras que debería ser colocado en un sitio en que la temperatura

ambiente se corresponda con la clase climática para la cual ha sido cons­truido.

La clase climática viene indicada en la placa de características, situada den­tro de la cámara frigorífica a mano izquierda.

La siguiente tabla indica qué temperaturas ambiente están asociadas con las
clases climáticas:

Distanciadores posteriores

En la bolsa de la documentación hay dos
distanciadores que deberán ser monta­dos como se muestra en la figura.
Aflojar los tornillos, introducir el distan­ciador debajo de la cabeza del tornillo y
volver a atornillar.

Colocación

Situar el aparato lejos de fuentes de calor,
como: radiadores, estufas, exposición
directa a los rayos del sol, etc.

Por motivos de seguridad la ventilación
debe ser efectuada como se indica en la
respectiva figura

Para aparato con mueble pénsil de enci­ma, debería ser por lo menos de 100 mm.
La solución preferible seria la ilustrada (sin
mueble).

Atención: mantener las aperturas para la ventilación libres de cualquier
obstàculo.

Dos patas graduables, situadas en la base del mueble, consienten rivelarlo a la
perfección.

Conexión eléctrica

Para efectuar la conexión eléctrica es necesario utilizar una toma de cor­riente con contacto de protección, instalada conforme a las prescripciones
vigentes. El fusible eléctrico debe ser por lo menos de 10 Amperios. Si una
vez instalado el aparato no fuese posible acceder a la toma (para eventual­mente desenchufar el aparato), es necesario tomar las medidas adecuadas
para garantizar la desconexión del aparato de la red eléctrica (por ej. fusi­ble, interruptor LS, interruptor de protección contra sobrecorrientes o dispo­sitivos parecidos, que tengan una apertura entre los contactos de por lo
menos 3mm).

• Antes de poner en servicio el aparato hay que comprobar que la tensión
y la frecuencia del aparato, indicados en su placa de características, se cor­respondan con los de la red eléctrica general de alimentación:

por. ejemplo.
AC 230 ... 240 V 50 Hz o bien
220 ... 230 V~ 50 Hz
(por tanto de 230 a 240 Voltios en corriente alterna, 50 Hertz).

La placa de características se encuentra dentro de la cámara frigorífica, a
mano izquierda.

Antes de la primera puesta en servicio

• Limpiar el interior del aparato y todos los accesorios antes de poner en ser-

vicio el frigorífico (ver capítulo “Limpieza y cuidados”).

Para invertir el sentido de la puerta

El sentido de la puerta se puede cambiar de derecha (así viene de fábrica) a
izquierda si así lo exige el lugar de instalación.

¡Atención! El sentido de la puerta debe ser cambiado únicamente por un
técnico cualificado. En caso de necesidad, sírvase consultar a nuestro Servi­cio postventa o a su distribuidor.

¡Advertencia! Mientras se invierte el sentido de la puerta el aparato no debe
estar conectado a la red de alimentación eléctrica. Desenchú-felo

primero.

Teclas para la selección de temperaturas

La temperatura se regula mediante las teclas „+“ (MÁS CALOR) y „-“ (MÁS
FRÍO).

Las teclas guardan relación con el indicador de temperaturas.

• Basta con apretar una de las dos teclas „+“(MÁS CALOR) o „-“ (MÁS FRÍO)

para que el indicador pase de la temperatura EFECTIVA (el indi-cador de
temperaturas se enciende) a la temperatura NOMINAL (el indicador de tem­peraturas parpadea).

• Pulsando otra vez cualquiera de las dos teclas la temperatura NOMINAL

avanza 1 °C.

• Si no se aprieta ninguna de las teclas, el indicador de temperaturas retor-

na a los pocos instantes (unos 5 segundos) a la temperatura EFECTIVA.
Por temperatura NOMINAL se entiende que:
La temperatura que debe existir en el compartimento frigorífico o en el
compartimento congelador puede ajustarse a las temperaturas presentes

en el indicador. La temperatura NOMINAL se representa con las cifras par­padeantes.

Por temperatura EFECTIVA se entiende que:
El indicador señala la temperatura que existe en ese mismo momento en el

compartimento frigorífico o en el compartimento congelador. La tempera­tura EFECTIVA se representa con las cifras encendidas sin parpadear.

Cuando está activada la función COOLMATIC o FROSTMATIC, no se pueden
realizar cambios en el ajuste de temperatura para el frigorífico o el conge­lador.

Indicador de la temperatura

El indicador de la temperatura puede visualizar varias informaciones.

• Durante el servicio normal, la temperatura indicada es la que reina actual-

mente en el compartimento frigorífico o en el compartimento congelador
(temperatura EFECTIVA); el indicador de la temperatura permanece encen­dido.

• Durante el ajuste de la temperatura aparece parpadeando la temperatura

preseleccionada (temperatura NOMINAL).

• En caso de una alarma de temperatura, el indicador de temperatura indi-

ca, al accionar la tecla RESET, durante 5 segundos la temperatura más alta
hasta la cual se han calentado los alimentos.

• Si el aparato sufre una avería, la indicación de temperatura visualizará lo

siguiente:
– un cuadrado o una letra en el indicador de temperatura para el frigorífi-

co para indicar un fallo en el frigorífico;
– un cuadrado o una letra en el indicador de temperatura para el congela-

dor para indicar un fallo en el congelador.

Tecla MODE

Con la tecla MODE se pueden ajustar distintos modos de funcionamiento.
Se puede elegir entre los siguientes modos:
– SHOPPING: Especificación de la temperatura en el frigorífico 2 °C duran-

te 6 horas; la refrigeración para el congelador funciona durante 1 hora en
modo continuo.

– FROSTMATIC: La refrigeración para el congelador funciona durante 52
horas en modo continuo.

– COOLMATIC: Especificación de la temperatura en el frigorífico 2 °C
durante 6 horas.

– FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC:

La refrigeración para el congelador funciona durante 52 en modo continuo;
especificación de la temperatura en el frigorífico 2 °C durante 6 horas.

– HOLIDAY: Especificación de la temperatura en el frigorífico 14 °C.

– : Funcionamiento normal conforme a las temperatuas NOMINALES aju­stadas.

1. Pulsar la tecla MODE 1 vez. En pantalla se indica de forma intermitente

el modo de funcionamiento SHOPPING.

2. Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, la indicación deja de parpadear; el modo

de funcionamiento SHOPPING está ajustado.

3. Para ajustar otro modo de funcionamiento, pulsar la tecla MODE antes de

que finalicen 4 segundos las veces que sean necesarias hasta que se mue­stra el modo de funcionamiento deseado en pantalla. Al cabo de aprox. 4
segundos, la indicación deja de parpadear; el modo de funcionamiento está
ajustado. Si se vuelve a pulsar la tecla MODE, aparece el siguiente modo de
funcionamiento en pantalla.

Para volver al modo normal, pulsar la tecla MODE hasta que dejen de apa­recer palabras en pantalla (“ “).

Indicación de texto

En la indicación de texto aparecen los conceptos para los distintos modos
de funconamiento ajustables con la tecla MODE, así como para alarma, fal­lo de red o fallo funcional.

• Modos de funcionamiento: SHOPPING, FROSTMATIC, COOLMATIC, FROST-

MATIC y COOLMATIC, HOLIDAY; campo vacío durante el funcionamiento
normal.

• Alarma: TEMPERATURE en caso de alarma de temperatura

• Fallo de red: indicación POWER

• Fallo funcional: indicación SERVICE

Tecla RESET

Con la tecla RESET se puede desactivar la señal acústica de advertencia,
como, por ejemplo, para desactivar señal de advertencia de “Puerta Abier­ta” cuando se colocan o redistribuyen los alimentos en la nevera durante un
tiempo prolongado.

En caso de una alarma de temperatura, el indicador de temperatura indica,
al accionar la tecla RESET, durante 5 segundos la temperatura más alta hasta
la cual se han calentado los alimentos.

Antes de la puesta en servicio

Antes de enchufar el aparato y de ponerlo en servicio por primera vez déje­lo 30 minutos inactivo si ha sido transportado en posición vertical.

Si ha sido transportado en posición horizontal, hay que esperar 4 horas
antes de encenderlo para que el aceite pueda retornar al compresor. De lo
contrario el compresor podría sufrir desperfectos.

1. Lavar antes de la primera puesta en servicio el interior del aparato fri-

gorífico y todas las piezas de equipamiento (véase capítulo "Limpieza y
mantenimiento").

2. Antes de la primera puesta en servicio, el aparato se tiene que instalar cor-

rectamente conforme al apartado "Instalación". En particular, se tiene que
prestar atención a que la tensión y la frecuencia de red coincidan con los
datos del aparato.

3. Retire el acumulador de frío del aparato.

4. Espere hasta que el congelador haya alcanzado los 18° C bajo cero, que

es la temperatura óptima de almacenamiento, y meta el acumulador de frío
en uno de los cajones para que se congele.

5. Al cabo de 24 horas coloque el acumulador de frío delante en el cajón

más alto.

6. Por favor, vuelva a congelar de la misma manera el acumulador de frío

cuando se haya descongelado p. ej. después de la limpieza del aparato fri­gorífico.

Puesta en servicio

1. Conectar el enchufe de la red en el tomacorriente.

2. Mantener accionada la tecla ON/OFF. La indicación de temperatura y la

iluminación de fondo se encienden y el aparato se conecta.
Ajuste de temperatura especificado en fábrica: +5 °C para el frigorífico, -18

°C para el congelador.
Cuando el congelador está en marcha y el frigorífico se encuentra desco-

nectado, éste último se puede conectar pulsando una de las teclas del fri­gorífico “+” o “-”.

3. Ajuste de la temperatura deseada para el compartimento frigorífico (véa-

se capítulo "Ajuste de temperatura").
Los productos pueden almacenarse inmediatamente después de la conexión

del aparato frigorífico porque la temperatura en el compartimento frigorí­fico se alcanza con rapidez.

4. Ajustar la temperatura a -18 °C o a una más fría (véase capítulo "Ajustar

la temperatura").
¡Importante! Hay que esperar antes de introducir los productos en el con-

Ajustar la temperatura

Con las teclas para la selección de temperaturas puede ajustarse separada­mente la temperatura deseada para el compartimento frigorífico y para el
congelador.

1. Oprima una de las teclas „+“ (MÁS CALOR) o „-“ (MÁS FRÍO).

El indicador de temperaturas cambia de función y visualiza parpa-deando
la temperatura NOMINAL vigente en ese momento.

2. Para ajustar el aparato a temperaturas más altas, oprima la tecla „+“ (MÁS

CALOR). Para ajustarlo a temperaturas más bajas, oprima la tecla

„-“ (MÁS FRÍO) (véase capítulo "Teclas para la selección de temperatu-ras").
El indicador visualiza en seguida el cambio de selección.
La temperatura va avanzando 1 °C cada vez que se vuelve a pulsar la tecla.
Margen de ajuste para el congelador: de -15 °C a -24 °C.
Margen de ajuste para el frigorífico: de +2 °C a +8 °C, 14 °C (modo de vaca-

ciones).
Nota: Desde el punto de vista de la dietética, la temperatura de +5 °C en el

refrigerador y de -18 °C en el congelador son lo bastante frías como para
mantener almacenados los alimentos.

3. Si usted no vuelve a apretar las teclas una vez seleccionada la tempera-

tura, el indicador recuperará su función previa a los pocos instantes (unos 5
segundos) para indicar otra vez la temperatura NOMINAL reinante en en
refrigerador o en el congelador. La indicación cambia de números intermi­tentes a fijos

Indicación: Al cambiarse el ajuste, el compresor no arranca en seguida si
está activo el sistema de descongelamiento automático.

¡Importante! No deje de controlar a intervalos regulares el piloto rojo de
alarma y el indicador de temperaturas para ver si el congelador mantiene la
temperatura de almacenaje correcta.

Modos de funcionamiento

SHOPPING

La función SHOPPING es apta para el enfriamiento rápido de grandes can­tidades de alimentos en el frigorífico, así como pequeñas cantidades de ali­mentos congelados en el congelador, p. ej. después de una compra grande.

Para el frigorífico se establece automáticamente durante 6 horas una tem­peratura NOMINAL de +2 °C. La refrigeración en el congelador funciona
durante 1 hora en el modo continuo.

1. Vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que parpadea SHOPPING en pantal-

la.
Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, el modo de funcionamiento SHOPPING está

activado y la indicación SHOPPING encendida. Ambas indicaciones de
termómetro en pantalla representan una columna de temperatura en
descenso.

La función SHOPPING se desconecta automáticamente al cabo de 6 horas.
La indicación SHOPPING se apaga.

La función SHOPPING se puede terminar en todo momento de forma
manual. Para este fin, vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que dejen de apa­recer palabras en pantalla.

FROSTMATIC

La función FROSTMATIC acelera la congelación de los productos frescos,
protegiendo al mismo tiempo los comestibles ya almacenados de un calen­tamiento no deseado.La refrigeración del congelador funciona durante
aprox. 52 horas en el modo continuo.

1. Vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que parpadea FROSTMATIC en pan-

talla.
Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, el modo de funcionamiento FROSTMATIC está

activado y la indicación FROSTMATIC encendida. La indicación de termó­metro en la pantalla para el congelador muestra una columna de tempera­tura en descenso.

El modo FROSTMATIC se desconecta automáticamente al cabo de aprox. 52
horas. La indicación FROSTMATIC se apaga.

El modo FROSTMATIC se puede terminar en todo momento de forma
manual. Para este fin, vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que dejen de apa­recer palabras en pantalla.

COOLMATIC

El modo de funcionamiento COOLMATIC es apropiada para enfriar rápida­mente grandes cantidades de alimentos en el compartimento frigorífico, p.
ej., bebidas, ensaladas para una fiesta.

1. Vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que parpadea COOLMATIC en pan-

talla.
Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, el modo de funcionamiento COOLMATIC está

activado y la indicación COOLMATIC encendida. La indicación de termóme­tro en la pantalla para el frigorífico muestra una columna de temperatura
en descenso.

La función COOLMATIC proporciona ahora una intensiva refrigeración.
La temperatura PRESCRITA se mantiene automáticamente a +2 °C. Des-pués
del transcurso de 6 horas se finaliza automáticamente la función COOLMA-

TIC. La temperatura NOMINAL originalmente vuelve a ser determinante y el
indicador de temperatura visualiza nuevamente la temperatura de refrige­ración momentánea.

El modo COOLMATIC se puede terminar en todo momento de forma
manual. Para este fin, vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que dejen de apa­recer palabras en pantalla.

FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC

En caso de combinación de las funciones FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC, se
especifica para el frigorífico durante 6 horas automáticamente una tempe­ratura nominal de +2 °C. La refrigeración en el congelador funciona duran­te 52 horas en el modo continuo.

1. Vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que parpadean simultáneamente

FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC en pantalla.

Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, el modo de funcionamiento FROSTMATIC y
COOLMATIC está activado y las indicaciones FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC
encendidas. Ambas indicaciones de termómetro en pantalla representan
una columna de temperatura en descenso.

La función FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC se desconecta automáticamente al
cabo de 6 horas. Las indicaciones FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC se apagan.

La función FROSTMATIC y COOLMATIC se puede terminar en todo momen­to de forma manual. Para este fin, vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta que
dejen de aparecer palabras en pantalla.

HOLIDAY

En el modo de funcionamiento HOLIDAY (modo de vacaciones), la tempera­tura NOMINAL para el frigorífico es de +14 °C. Por lo tanto, en casos de lar­gas ausencias (por ejemplo durante las vacaciones) se tiene

la posibilidad de mantener también cerrada el compartimento frigorífico
vacía, en vez de dejarla abierta, sin que por ello se produzcan olores desa­gradables o moho. La ventaja: se impide que se cierre la puerta por sí sola o
inintencionalmente por otras personas durante la ausencia. Sin la conmu­tación para vacaciones se produciría inevitablemente olores desagradables
y/o moho.

1. Para activar el modo de vacaciones, vaya pulsando la tecla MODE hasta

que parpadea HOLIDAY en pantalla.
Al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos, el modo de funcionamiento HOLIDAY está

activado y la indicación HOLIDAY encendida.
¡Atención! No dejar alimentos en el compartimento frigorífico mien-tras el

aparato esté conmutado para vacaciones. La temperatura durante la con­mutación para vacaciones se mantiene más o menos a +14° C, la cual es
muy alta para los alimentos.

Para volver a conmutar el frigorífico al modo normal, vaya pulsando la tecla
MODE hasta que dejen de aparecer palabras en pantalla.

Mientras parpadean los números de la indicación de temperatura después
del ajuste de la temperatura NOMINAL, aún no se puede ajustar ningún
modo de funcionamiento con la tecla MODE.

Desconexión del aparato frigorífico

El frigorífico y el congelador se pueden desconectar independientemente el
uno del otro.

1. Para desconectar el aparato completo, mantener pulsada la tecla ON/OFF.

En ambas indicaciones de temperatura se produce un denominado “Count
down”, contando hacia atrás de “3” a “1”. Al alcanzar “1”, se desconectan el
frigorífico y el congelador. Los indicadores de temperatura se apagan.

Antes de que haya finalizado el descuento, el proceso de desconexión se
puede cancelar, soltando la tecla ON/OFF.

Desconexión del frigorífico:

1. Mantenga pulsadas simultánemente las teclas “+” y “-” para el frigorífico

hasta que aparezca “OF” en el indicador de temperatura. A continuación, la
indicación deja de parpadear y el frigorífico se desconecta.

Si, con el congelador desconectado, se mantienen pulsadas simultánea­mente las teclas “+” y “-” para el frigorífico, se produce en la indicación de
temperatura para el frigorífico un denominado descuento, contando hacia
atrás de “3” a “1”. Después se desconecta el frigorífico o el aparato entero.

Antes de que haya finalizado el descuento, el proceso de desconexión se
puede cancelar soltando las teclas “+” y “-”.

Con el frigorífico desconectado, se puede activar, durante el
funcionamiento del congelador, únicamente el modo FROSTMATIC.

Desconexión del congelador:

1. Mantenga pulsadas simultáneamente las teclas “+” y “-” para el congela-

dor. En la indicación de temperatura para el congelador se produce un
denominado descuento, contando hacia atrás de “3” a “1”.

A continuación aparece “OF” en la indicación de temperatura. La indicación
deja de parpadear y el congelador se desconecta.

La alimentación eléctrica sólo está completamente interrumpida cuando se
ha retirado el enchufe de la red.

Nota:

No es posible ajustar el aparato si está desenchufado o si está cortada la cor­riente. Tras la reconexión a la red eléctrica, el aparato frigorífico retorna al
estado en que se hallaba al cortarse la corriente.

Si el aparato frigorífico ha de estar fuera de servicio por mucho tiempo es
preciso:

1. Desconectarlo manteniendo oprimido la tecla CONEXIÓN/DESCO-

NEXIÓN.

2. Desenchufarlo o desconectarlo o bien desenroscar el fusible.

3. Descongelar el compartimento congelador y limpiar el aparato a fondo

(véase el capítulo "Limpieza y mantenimiento").

4. Luego ha de dejarse abierta las puertas para evitar la formación de olo-

res desagradables.

Sistema de control y de información

El sistema de control e información comprende indicaciones de temperatu­ra y alarmas de señales ópticas y acústicas

El sistema avisa:
– en caso de fallo de red;
– cuando las puertas del aparato frigorífico estén abiertas
– cuando la temperatura en el compartimento congelador o en el compar-

timento frigorífico se caliente demasiado.
– cuando ocurran fallos funcionales en el aparato frigorífico.

Alarma de fallo de red

En caso de interrupción de la alimentación eléctrica se muestra en pantalla
la palabra POWER. Se sigue indicando la temperatura que existía al inicio del
fallo de red. La palabra “POWER” se apaga pulsando cualquier tecla.

Aviso de temperatura

Para el frigorífico:

Suena una alarma acústica y la indicación TEMPERATURE y una iluminación
de fondo roja parpadean en cuanto la temperatura en el frigorífico sobre­pasa 12 °C. Adicionalmente parpadea la indicación de temperatura para el
frigorífico.

1. Con la tecla RESET puede desconectar la señal acústica.

La indicación de temperatura para el frigorífico muestra durante 5 segun­dos la temperatura más alta que se ha alcanzado durante la alarma de tem­peratura en el frigorífico. A continuación, la indicación de temperatura deja
de parpadear y vuelve a conmutar a la temperatura actual en el frigorífico.
La indicación TEMPERATURE y la iluminación de fondo roja siguen parpa­deando mientras persiste la alarma de temperatura.

Cuando la temperatura en el frigorífico desciende por debajo de 12 °C, la
alarma acústica se desconecta automáticamente. La indicación TEMPERA­TURE, la iluminación de fondo roja y la indicación de temperatura siguen
parpadeando.

1. Con la tecla RESET puede desconectar las indicaciones de alarma.

Para el congelador:

Suena una alarma acústica y la indicación TEMPERATURE y una iluminación
de fondo roja parpadean en cuanto la temperatura en el congelador sobre­pasa -8 °C. Adicionalmente parpadea la indicación de temperatura para el
congelador.

1. Con la tecla RESET puede desconectar la señal acústica.

La indicación de temperatura para el congelador muestra durante 5 segun­dos la temperatura más alta que se ha alcanzado durante la alarma de tem­peratura en el congelador. A continuación, la indicación de temperatura

deja de parpadear y vuelve a conmutar a la temperatura actual en el con­gelador. La indicación TEMPERATURE y la iluminación de fondo roja siguen
parpadeando mientras persiste la alarma de temperatura.

Cuando la temperatura en el congelador desciende por debajo de -8 °C, la
alarma acústica se desconecta automáticamente. La indicación TEMPERA­TURE, la iluminación de fondo roja y la indicación de temperatura siguen
parpadeando.

1. Con la tecla RESET puede desconectar las indicaciones de alarma.

Si, en caso de una alarma, se produce un fallo de red, el aparato inicia a la
vuelta de la red eléctrica las señales de alarma acústica y óptica.

Si hay sospechas de descongelación, ha de revisarse la calidad de los pro­ductos y su empleo posterior.

Esta subida de la temperatura obedece probablemente a las siguientes cau­sas:

– las puertas se abre muy a menudo o permanece abierta largo rato;
– se ha almacenado cantidades regulares de comestibles tibios o calien-tes;
– temperatura ambiente alta
– el aparato frigorífico ha sufrido un desperfecto.

Fallos funcionales

Si el sistema electrónico del aparato detecta un defecto técnico que nece­sita ser reparado por el Servicio postventa, suena una alarma acústica y la
indicación SERVICE aparece con una iluminación de fondo roja intermiten­te.

La indicación de temperatura visualizará lo siguiente:
– un cuadrado o una letra en el indicador de temperatura para el frigorífi-

co para indicar un fallo en el frigorífico;
– un cuadrado o una letra en el indicador de temperatura para el congela-

dor para indicar un fallo en el congelador.

1. Con la tecla RESET se pueden desconectar la alarma acústica y la ilumi-

nación de fondo roja intermitente. La indicación SERVICE permanece
encendida mientras persista el fallo funcional.

Control de la humedad

Un dispositivo provisto de ranuras
(que se pueden regular mediante
una palanca corredera), que per­mite regular la temperatura en el
vano cajón/es de verdura, está
ensamblado en el estante de
cristal.
Con las ranuras cerradas se
obtendrá una temperatura más
caliente y una mayor humedad.
Con las ranuras abiertas se obten­drá una temperatura más fría y
una menor humedad.

Cajón

El cajón es adecuado para conser­var fruta y verdura.

En el interior del cajón se encuen­tra un separador que puede colo­carse en varias posiciones para
obtener la distribución más ade­cuada en cada caso.

En el fondo del cajón hay una
rejilla, con el fin de evitar el con­tacto de los alimentos con la
humedad que podría formarse y
depositarse en la parte inferior del
cajón.

Para su limpieza, puede sacarse el
cajón cogiéndolo por las asas late­rales (como se indica en la figura)
y pueden quitarse los componen­tes internos.

Refrigeración de los alimentos y de las bebidas

Para utilizar de la mejor manera la sección frigorífico es necesario:

• no poner en la cámara alimentos calientes ni líquidos en evaporación;

• tapar o envolver los alimentos, en particular si tienen aromas;

• colocar los alimentos de manera que el aire pueda circular libremente alre­dedor de ellos.

Carne (de todas las clases): hay que envolverla en bolsas de plástico y
ponerla sobre el vidrio, encima del cajón de la verdura.

En esta posición se podrá conservar por uno o dos días a lo sumo.
Alimentos cocidos, platos fríos, etc. se deben tapar bien y se pueden poner

en cualquier sitio del frigorífico.
Fruta y verdura: se deben poner, después de lavarlas, en el/los cajón/cajo-

nes previstos.
Mantequilla y queso se deben poner en los contenedores previstos o se

deben envolver en hojas de plástico o aluminio para evitar el contacto con
el aire.

Leche en botella: bien cerradas, se ponen en el portabotellas.

Plátanos, patatas, cebolla y ajo, si no están empaquetados no se deben
poner en el frigorífico.

Congelación y sobrecongelación

Vuestro congelador es apto tanto para conservar sobrecongelados como
para congelar alimentos frescos.

Atención

• La temperatura en la sección congelador debe ser de -18°C o inferior,
antes de poner dentro los alimentos a congelar.

• Para la congelación hay que ajustarse a las cantidades indicadas en la pla­ca de características. La cantidad para la congelación es la cantidad máxi­ma de alimentos frescos que es posible congelar en 24 horas. Queriendo
congelar alimentos frescos por más días consecutivos, reducir la cantidad
indicada en la placa a 2/3 ó 3/4.

• Dejar enfriar eventuales alimentos calientes antes de congelarlos. El calor
lleva a una fuerte formación de escarcha y conlleva un alto consumo de
energía.

• Respetar las fechas de caducidad indicadas en los paquetes por el pro­ductor de los sobrecongelados.

• Los alimentos, una vez descongelados, no se pueden congelar de nuevo
previa cocción.

• Los contenedores de gases inflamables o de líquidos, por efecto del frío
pueden perder su estanqueidad. ¡Peligro de explosión! No guardar nunca
contenedores con sustancias inflamables, como por ejemplo aerosoles,
encendedores y cartuchos de abastecimiento, etc. en el frigorífico.

• Las botellas y las latas no se deben poner nunca en el congelador. Pueden
explotar tan pronto se congela su contenido, mientras que los líquidos
que tienen anhídrido carbónico (bebidas con gas) ¡pueden llegar a estal­lar! No poner nunca en el congelador limonada, zumos de fruta, cerveza,
vino, cava, etc. Hacen excepción: las bebidas superalcohólicas que se pue­den poner en el congelador.

• Envolver herméticamente los alimentos antes de congelarlos, para evitar
que se sequen, pierdan el aroma o que los sabores se mezclen con los de
los otros alimentos congelados.

¡Atención! No tocar nunca los productos congelados con las manos moja­das. La piel podría pegarse al producto.

1. Poner los alimentos empaquetados en los cajones. Poner los alimentos fre­scos a congelar en el cajón superior. Los alimentos no congelados no deben
entrar en contacto con los ya congelados, de los contrario los productos
congelados podrían descongelarse en algunos puntos.

2. Poner los productos congelados a ser posible separados en los cajones.

Calendario de congelación

• Los símbolos en los cajones indican diversos tipos de productos a conge-

lar.

• Las cifras indican el periodo de almacenamiento, en meses, para cada tipo

de producto a congelar.

• Si vale el valor superior o el valor inferior del periodo de almacenamien-

to indicado, depende de la calidad de los productos alimentarios y del tra­tamiento a que han sido sometidos antes de la congelación. Para los ali­mentos notablemente grasos, vale siempre el valor inferior.

Cubitos de hielo

1. Llenar hasta los 3/4 la bandeja del hielo con agua fría y ponerla en el cajón
congelador.

2. Para sacar los cubitos listos basta torcer la bandeja o ponerla por poco tiem­po debajo de un chorro de agua corriente

¡Atención! Se recomienda no utilizar utensilios puntiagudos ni con cantos
para desprender la bandeja que eventualmente se haya quedado pegada.
Utilizar la paleta para rascar la escarcha incluida en el suministro.

Masa eutéctica

El aparato puede venir equipado con una o varias masas eutécticas.
En caso de interrupción de la corriente o de mal funcionamiento del apara-

to, la masa eutéctica permite alargar en unas horas la conservación de los
alimentos congelados. Para explotar de la mejor manera la masa eutéctica,
ésta debe ser puesta en el cajón superior. La masa eutéctica se puede utili­zar también como elemento enfriador para los bolsos térmicos.

Descongelación

Frigorífico

En la pared trasera de la sección fri­gorífico, se forma un capa de escar­cha durante el funcionamiento del
compresor, que es eliminada
automáticamente durante las pausas
de funcionamiento del compresor. El
agua generada por la descongela­ción, a través de un encauzador
situado en la parte trasera de la sec­ción frigorífico, por un agujero de
desagüe es recogida en una bandeja
situada encima del compresor, donde
evapora por efecto del calor genera­dor por el propio compresor.

O congelador

Durante o funcionamento e ao abrir a porta deposita-se humidade em for­ma de geada no congelador, principalmente em cima, no centro.

Remova esta geada de tempos a tempos com uma raspadeira macia de plá­stico, como p. ex. uma rapadeira de massa. Não utilizar, de modo algum,
objectos duros ou pontiagudos para esse fim.

Deve-se descongelar quando a camada de geada atingir uma espessura de
aproximadamente 4 milímetros; mas, pelo menos, uma vez por ano.

1. Retire todos os alimentos e envolva­os em varias folhas de papel de jornal
e coloque-os no lugar mais frio que
possuir.Coloque o termóstato na
posição “O”

2. Deixe a porta do compartimento

3. Coloque o raspador na parte central

5. Ligue o aparelho na posição de congelação rápida. Passadas três horas, o
congelador está pronto para conservar os alimentos.

¡Atención!

Recomenda-se a não empregar objectos metálicos para tirar o gelo, para
evitar graves prejuízos ao aparelho.

Limpieza y cuidados

Por motivos de higiene se debería limpiar siempre y con regularidad el inte­rior del aparato, incluidos los accesorios.

¡Advertencia!

• Durante la limpieza, el aparato debe estar desenchufado de la red eléctri-

ca. ¡Peligro de electrocución! Antes de efectuar las operaciones de limpie­za es necesario apagar el aparato, desenchufar la clavija de la toma de
red, o quitar el fusible.

• No limpiar nunca el aparato utilizando hidrolimpiadoras a vapor. La hume-

dad podría penetrar en los elementos eléctricos, ¡Peligro de electrocución!
El vapor hirviente puede dañar las partes en material sintético.

• El aparato debe estar completamente seco antes de ponerlo de nuevo en

servicio.

¡Atención!

• Aceites esenciales y sustancias solventes orgánicas pueden atacar los ele­mentos en material sintético, por ej.

– zumo de limón o cortezas de naranja;
– mantequilla ácida;
– sustancias detergentes que contengan ácido acético.
Evitar el contacto entre los elementos del aparato y dichas sustancias.

• No utilizar nunca sustancias detergentes abrasivas.

1. Quitar los alimentos. Envolver los sobrecongelados con varias hojas de dia­rio. Guardar dichos alimentos en un sitio fresco.

2. Apagar el aparato y desenchufar la clavija de la toma de red o bien desco­nectar o desenroscar el fusible.

3. Descongelar el congelador.

4. Limpiar el aparato y los accesorios internos con un paño suave empapado
de agua caliente. Eventualmente añadir un poco de detergente para lavar
platos.

5. Aclarar y secar frotando.
Los depósitos de polvo en el condensador, situado en la parte trasera del

aparato, reducen notablemente la potencia de enfriamiento por lo que

aumentan el consumo energético. Es necesario pues limpiarlo esmerada­mente, una vez al año, con un cepillo o una aspiradora.

6. Examinar el agujero de desagüe del agua de descongelación, situado en la
parte trasera de la sección frigorífico. Si el agujero está atascado, es posible
destaparlo con el limpiador verde.

7. Una vez que todo está bien seco se puede poner de nuevo en servicio el apa­rato.

Consejos para ahorrar energía

• No instalar el aparato cerca de hornos, elementos calentadores ni otras

fuentes de calor. Con temperaturas ambiente elevadas, el compresor se
pone en marcha más a menudo y por más tiempo.

• Garantizar una ventilación suficiente en entrada y en salida. No tapar

nunca las ranuras de ventilación.

• No poner nunca alimentos calientes dentro del aparato; primero dejar que

se enfríen.

• Abrir la puerta sólo por el tiempo necesario.

• No seleccionar una temperatura más fría que lo necesario.

Safety

The safety aspects of our refrigerators/freezers comply with accepted tech­nical standards and the German Appliance Safety Law. Nevertheless, we
consider it our obligation to make you aware of the following safety infor­mation:

Intended use

• The refrigerator is intended for use in the home. It is suitable for the coo­ling, freezing and storing of frozen food, as well as for making ice. If the
appliance is used for purposes other than those intended or used incor­rectly, no liability can be accepted by the manufacturer for any damage
that may be caused.

• Alterations or changes to the freezer are not permitted for reasons of
safety.

• If you use the refrigerator in a commercial application or forpurposes
other than the cooling, freezing or frozen storage of foods,please obser­ve all valid legal regulations for your application.

Prior to initial start–up

• Check the refrigerator for transport damage. Under no circumstance

should a damaged appliance be plugged in! In the event of damage, please
contact the vendor.

Refrigerant

The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within the refrigerant circuit
of the appliance, a natural gas with a high level of environmental compa­tibility, which is nevertheless flammable.

• During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that
none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.

• If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of ignition;
– thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated.

Safety of children

• Packaging (e.g. wraps, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. There is
a risk of suffocation! Keep packaging material away from children!

• Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains
plug, cut off the mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcatches, if fit­ted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot lock themselves in the
fridge when playing (there is risk of suffocation!)or get themselves into
other dangerous situations.

• Often children cannot recognise the hazards present in household

appliances. It is therefore important that you ensure adequate supervision
and never let children play with the appliance!

Daily Operation

• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.
There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flamma­ble materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill car­tridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer compartment. They can
burst when the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even
explode! Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in
the freezer compartment. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be
stored in the freezer compartment.

• Do not put ice creams or ice cubes in the mouth immediately after remo­val from the freezer compartment. Very cold ice can freeze to the lips or
tongue and cause injury.

• Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could freeze to the
food.

• Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/freezer (e.g.
electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.).

• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance and unplug
it, or pull the house fuse or switch off the circuit breaker.

• When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do not pull
on the cable.

In case of malfunction

• If the a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the "What
to do if ..." section of these instructions. If the information given there
does not help, please do not perform any further repairs yourself.

• Refrigerators/freezers may only be repaired by qualified service engineers.
Improper repairs can give rise to significant hazards. If your appliance needs
repairing, please contact your specialist dealer or our Customer Service.

Disposal

Appliance Packaging Information

All materials are environmentally sound! They can be dumped or burned at
an incinerating plant without danger!

About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and are identified as fol­lows:

>PE< for polyethylene, e.g. the outer covering and the bags in the interior.
>PS< for polystyrene foam, e.g. the pads, which are all free of chlorofluo-

rocarbon.

Remove transport safeguard

The appliance and the interior fittings are protected for transport.

• Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the
appliance.

Your appliance is equipped with shelf
retainers that make it possible to
secure the shelves during transporta­tion.

To remove them proceed as follows:
Move the shelf retainers in the direc-

tion of the arrow, raise the shelf from
the rear and push it forward until it
is freed and remove the retainers.

The carton parts are made from recycled paper and should be disposed of
at a waste-paper recycling collection location.

Disposal of old Appliances

For environmental reasons, refrigeration appliances must be disposed of
properly. This applies to your old appliance, and - at the end of its service
life - for your new appliance as well.

Warning! Before disposing of old appliances make them inoperable. Remo­ve plug from mains, sever the power cable, remove or destroy any snap or
latch closures. This eliminates the danger that playing children lock them­selves into the appliance (danger of suffocation!) or place themselves into
other life-endangering situations.

Disposal:

• The appliance may not be disposed of with domestic waste or bulky refuse.

• The refrigerant circuit, especially the heat exchanger at the back of the
appliance, may not be damaged.

• The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that
this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall
be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling
of electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is
disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative con­sequences for the environment and human health, which could
otherwise be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this pro­duct. For more detailed information about recycling of this product,
please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal
service or the shop where you purchased the product.

If installation next to a source of heat is unavoidable, the following mini­mum clearances must be maintained at the sides of the appliance:

– for electric cookers 3 cm;
– for oil and coal fired ranges 30 cm.
If these clearances cannot be maintained a heat insulating pad is required

between the cooker and the refrigeration appliance.
If the refrigeration appliance is installed next to another refrigerator or free-

zer a clearance of 5 cm at the sides is required, in order to prevent the for­mation of condensation on the outside of the appliance.

Installation

Installation Location

The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room.
Energy use is affected by the ambient temperature. The appliance should

therefore
– not be exposed to direct sunlight;
– not be installed next to radiators, cookers or other sources of heat;
– only be installed at a location whose ambient temperature corresponds to

the climate classification, for which the appliance is designed.

The climate classification can be found on the serial plate, which is located
at the left on the inside of the appliance.

The following table shows which ambient temperature is correct for each

Prior to Initial Start–Up

• Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial start-

up (see section: “Cleaning and Care”).

Electrical connection

Before initial start-up, refer to the appliance rating plate to ascertain if sup­ply voltage and current values correspond with those of the mains at the
installation location.

e.g.: AC 230 ... 240 V 50 Hz or

230 ... 240 V~ 50 Hz
(i.e. 230 to 240 volts alternating current, 50 Hertz)
The rating plate is inside the appliance on the left.
A correctly installed, earthed socket is required for the electrical supply. The

supply must have a fuse rating of at least 10 Amps.
If the socket is not accessible once the appliance is built in, the electrical

installation must include suitable means of isolating the appliance from the
mains (e.g. fuse, cut-out, current trip or similar with a minimum contact
separation of 3 mm).

Attention: The mains connection cable may only be replaced by a skilled
electrician. Please contact your dealer or our customer service department
for repairs.

Temperature setting buttons

The temperature is adjusted using the „+“ (WARMER) and „-“ (COLDER) but­tons.

These buttons are connected to the temperature display.

• The temperature display is switched over from the display of the ACTUAL
temperature (Temperature display is illuminated) to the display of the DESI­RED temperature (Temperature display flashes) by pressing one of the two
buttons, „+“ (WARMER) or „-“ (COLDER).

• Each time one of the two buttons is pressed again the DESIRED tempera­ture is adjusted by 1 °C.

• If neither button is pressed, the temperature display automatically swit­ches back after a short period (approx. 4 sec.) to the display of the ACTUAL

temperature.
DESIRED temperature means:
The temperature that has been selected for inside the fridge or the freezer

compartment. The DESIRED temperature is indicated by flashing numbers.
ACTUAL temperature means:
The temperature display indicates the current temperature inside the fridge

or the freezer compartment. The ACTUAL temperature is indicated with illu­minated numbers.

Temperature Displays

The temperature displays shows several types of information.

• In normal operation the average temperature in the fridge section is
displayed (ACTUAL temperature). The variations in temperature in the who­le fridge section are small.

• In the freezer section the warmest temperature is displayed (ACTUAL tem­perature). When fully filled, the warmest zone is normally located at the top
in the front area of the freezer section. Depending upon how the section is
filled, the temperatures are lower in other areas of the freezer section.

• When the temperature is being adjusted a flashing display indicates the
fridge or the freezer compartment temperature currently set (DESIRED tem­perature).

Tip: When changing the temperature setting wait about 24 hours until the
temperature display has stabilised.

• When there is a temperature warning for the freezer compartment, if the
RESET button is activated, the temperature display will show for 5 seconds
the warmest temperature the frozen food has reached.

• If there is a fault in the appliance the temperature display shows:
– a square or a letter in the temperature display of the fridge for a fault in

the fridge,
– a square or a letter in the temperature display of the freezer for a fault in

the freezer.

MODE button

Different operating modes can be set using the MODE button.
The following operating modes can be selected:
– SHOPPING: Fridge temperature value 3 °C for 6 hours, cooling for freezer

section runs for 1 hour in continuous operation.
– FROSTMATIC: Cooling for the freezer section runs for 52 hours in conti-

nuous operation.
– COOLMATIC: Fridge temperature value 3 °C for 6 hours.

– FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC:

Cooling for freezer section runs for 52 hours in continuous operation, frid­ge temperature value 3 °C for 6 hours.

– HOLIDAY: Fridge temperature value 14 °C.
– : Normal operation according to the required temperatures set.

1. Press MODE button once. In the display the operating mode SHOPPING
will flash.

2. After approx. 4 seconds the display stops flashing, the operating mode
SHOPPING is set.

3. If another operating mode is to be set, before 4 seconds have elapsed,
press the MODE button repeatedly until the desired mode is shown in the
display. After approx. 4 seconds have elapsed, the display stops flashing, the
operating mode is set. If the MODE button is pressed again, the next opera­ting mode appears in the display.

To return to normal operation, press the MODE button repeatedly until no
words appear in the display (“ ”).

Text display

The names of the various operating modes that can be set with the MODE
button and the words indicating an alarm, power cut or electrical fault
appear in the text display.

• Operating modes: SHOPPING, FROSTMATIC, COOLMATIC, FROSTMATIC
and COOLMATIC, HOLIDAY, empty field when operating normally.

• Alarm: TEMPERATURE when there is a temperature warning

• After power cut: POWER displayed

• Electrical fault: SERVICE displayed

RESET button

With the RESET button, the acoustic warning signal can be switched off, e.g.
the "Open Door" warning when sorting in or out, the food to be chilled or
frozen.

When there is a temperature warning for the freezer compartment, if the
RESET button is activated, the temperature display will show for 5 seconds
the warmest temperature the frozen food has reached.

Prior to Initial Start-Up

Before connecting the appliance to the mains and putting it into ope-ration
for the first time, leave the appliance to stand for 30 minutes if was tran­sported upright. After transport on its side, the appliance must be left to
stand for 2 hours before putting it into operation. This is necessary to allow
the oil to flow back into the compressor. Otherwise the compressor may be
damaged.

1. Please clean the appliance interior and all accessories prior to initial start­up (see section: "Maintenance and Cleaning").

2. The appliance must be correctly installed in accordance with the chapter
"Installation" before it is put into operation for the first time. Care should

be especially taken that the mains voltage and frequency available corre­spond with the appliance’s rating plate.

3. Remove the cold accumulation block from the appliance.

4. Place the cold accumulation block into a drawer only after the optimal
storage temperature of -18 °C has been reached, and allow to freeze.

5. After 24 hours place the cold accumulation block at the front of the
upper drawer.

6. Re-freeze the thawed cold accumulation block in the same fashion, e.g.
after cleaning the appliance.

Initial Start-Up

1. Insert plug into mains socket.

2. Press and hold down the ON/OFF button. The temperature indicator and
the back lighting light up, the appliance starts up. An alarm sounds, TEM­PERATURE appears in the display and the back lighting flashes in red.

3. Switch off alarm and red back lighting using RESET button. The TEMPE­RATURE indicator goes out, if the temperature in the appliance has gone
below the warning temperature.

3 Temperature settings set in the factory: +5 °C for the fridge section, -18
°C for the freezer section.

4. Set the refrigerator to the desired temperature (see section: "Tempera­ture Adjustment").

Goods to be refrigerated can be loaded shortly after switching on, because
the storage temperature in the refrigerator is quickly reached.

5. Set the freezer temperature to -18 °C or colder (see section: "Tempera­ture Adjustment").

Do not load freezer with goods until a temperature of -18 °C has been rea­ched, or until the red warning indicator light has gone out..

Temperature Adjustment

With the individual temperature setting buttons the desired temperatures
in the refrigerator and in the freezer compartment can be adjusted inde­pendently of one another.

1. Press either the „+“ (WARMER) or „-“ (COLDER) button for the refriger­ator or freezer compartment .

The temperature display switches over and the DESIRED temperature cur­rently set flashes on the temperature display.

2. To adjust to a warmer temperature, press the „+“ (WARMER) button. To
adjust to a colder temperature, press the „-“ (COLDER) button. The changed
setting is immediately displayed on the temperature display.

Each time the button is pressed the temperature is adjusted by 1 °C.
Adjustable temperature range for the freezer compartment:

-15 °C to -24 °C.
Adjustable temperature range for the refrigerator compartment:
+3 °C to +8 °C, (HOLIDAY: +14 °C )
Note: +5 °C for the refrigerator compartment and -18 °C for the freezer

compartment should be considered cold enough as a storage temperature.

3. When the buttons are not further pressed after an adjustment has been
made, after a short period (approx. 5 sec.) the temperature display switches

over and again displays the ACTUAL temperature in the refrigerator com­partment. The display changes from flashing to illuminated numbers.

When the setting is changed, the compressor does not start immediately if
automatic defrosting is currently taking place.

The display lighting switches itself on when any button is touched. If no
button is pressed, the display lighting switches itself off after approx. 1
minute.

Important! Please check regularly on the warning display and on the tem­perature display that the storage temperature is being maintained.

Tip:

The appliance setting cannot be changed when the mains plug is pulled out
or there is no power supply.

When reconnected to the mains supply, the appliance takes on the state it
had at the time of the interruption to the power supply.

Operating modes

Using the MODE button different operating modes can be selected. The
operating modes are automatically switched off after a corresponding
period, but can also be manualled ended each time. To do this, press the
MODE button repeatedly until there are no longer any words appearing in
the display. After the operating modes have been completed, the appliance
continues to run with the previously set desired temperatures.

As long as the figures in the temperature display are still flashing after the
desired temperature has been set, no operating mode can be set with the
MODE button.

SHOPPING

The SHOPPING function is suitable for quickly cooling larger quantities of
refrigerated foods in the fridge section, as well as for smaller amounts of
frozen foods in the freezer section, e. g. after a big shop.

This automatically sets a desired temperature of +3 °C for the fridge section
for 6 hours. Cooling for the freezer section runs for 1 hour in continuous
operation.

1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until SHOPPING is flashing in the
display.

After approx. 4 seconds the operating mode SHOPPING is activated, the
SHOPPING indicator lights up. Both thermometer indicators in the display
show a falling temperature column.

The SHOPPING function is automatically switched off after 6 hours.
The SHOPPING indicator will go out.
The display lighting switches itself on when any button is touched. If no

button is pressed, the display lighting switches itself off after approx. 1
minute.

FROSTMATIC

The FROSTMATIC function provides for quick freezing of fresh food pro­ducts, and at the same time protects previously stored goods against unde­sired warming in the freezer compartment.

The cooling of the freezer section runs for about 52 hours in continuous
operation.

1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until FROSTMATIC is flashing in the
display.
After approx. 4 seconds the operating mode FROSTMATIC is activated, the

FROSTMATIC indicator lights up. The thermometer indicator in the display
for the freezer section shows a falling temperature column.

The operating mode FROSTMATIC is automatically switched off depending
on how the appliance is filled at the latest after approx. 52 hours. The FRO­STMATIC indicator will go out.

COOLMATIC

The COOLMATIC operating mode is suitable for quickly cooling larger quan­tities of refrigerated foods in the fridge section, e. g. drinks, salads for a
party or wedding.

1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until COOLMATIC is flashing in the
display.

After approx. 4 seconds the operating mode COOLMATIC is activated, the
COOLMATIC indicator lights up. The thermometer indicator in the display
for the fridge section shows a falling temperature column.

The COOLMATIC function now provides for intensive cooling. A DESIRED
temperature of +3 °C is automatically selected. The COOLMATIC function is
ended automatically after a period of 6 hours. The originally selected DESI­RED temperature is again valid. The temperature display shows the ACTUAL
refrigerator temperature.

FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC

When the FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC functions are combined, a desired
temperature of +3 °C is automatically set for the fridge section for 6 hours.
Cooling for the freezer section runs for 52 hours in continuous operation.

1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC are
flashing in the display at the same time.

After approx. 4 seconds the operating mode FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC
is activated, the FROSTMATIC und COOLMATIC indicators light up. Both
thermometer indicators in the display show a falling temperature column.

The function FROSTMATIC and COOLMATIC is automatically switched off:
COOLMATIC after 6 hours, FROSTMATIC after 52 hours at the latest.

The indicators go out accordingly.

HOLIDAY

In the operating mode HOLIDAY (holiday setting) the desired temperature
value for the fridge section is +14 °C. In the holiday mode it is therefore pos-

sible to leave the door of the empty refrigerator closed during periods of
extended absence. Advantage: Unintentional closing of the door, or acci­dental closing of the door by persons who have access to your home during
your absence, is no longer possible. Without the holiday mode leaving the
door closed would lead to the accumulation of odours and mould.

After emptying and cleaning the appliance, proceed as follows:

1. To switch on the holiday setting, press the MODE button repeatedly
until HOLIDAY is flashing in the display.
After approx. 4 seconds the operating mode HOLIDAY is activated, HOLIDAY

lights up.
Important! Do not store any goods in the refrigerator when the holiday

mode is in operation. The temperature is regulated at about +14 °C when
the holiday mode is in operation. This is too warm for food products.

If, while you are away, the room temperature could fall below 15 °C for a
long period, the fridge should not be operated in the operating mode HOLI­DAY, but switched off and the door opened.

To return to normal operation, press the MODE button repeatedly until the­re are no longer any words appearing in the display.

Switching the Appliance Off

Refrigerator and freezer compartments can be switched off independently
of one another.

1. To switch the entire appliance off, press and hold down the ON/OFF but­ton. In both temperature displays there is a countdown from “3“ to “1“. After
“1“ is reached, OF is displayed briefly, then the fridge section and the free­zer section are switched off. The temperature displays go out.

Before the countdown has been completed, the switch-off procedure can
be cancelled by releasing the ON/OFF button.

Switching off fridge section when freezer section is switched on:

Press and hold the “+“ and “-“ buttons for the fridge section at the same
time. There is a “countdown“ from “3“ to “1“, then “OF“appears in the tem­perature display. The fridge section switches itself off.

To switch the fridge section on again, press “+“ or “-“ button.

Switching off fridge section when freezer section is switched off:

1. Press and hold the “+“ and “-“ buttons for the fridge section at the same
time. There is a “countdown“ from “3“ to “1“, then “OF“ appears in the tem­perature display. The fridge section or the whole appliance switches itself
off.

Before the countdown has been completed, the switch-off procedure can
be cancelled by releasing the “+” and “-” buttons.

When the fridge section is switched off, the only operating mode that can
be activated while the freezer section is operating is FROSTMATIC.

1. Press and hold down the “+“and the “-“ buttons for the freezer section at
the same time. There is a countdown from “3“ to “1“, then “OF“ appears in
the temperature display. The freezer section or the whole appliance switches
itself off.

Note: The appliance cannot be switched on or off if unplugged, or if there
is no power being supplied to it. Following connection to the mains power
supply, the appliance returns to the same operating state as before the
interruption of main power.

If the appliance is not to be used for an extended period:

1. Switch appliance off by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button (see
above).

2. Remove the mains plug or switch off.

3. Defrost freezer compartment and clean thoroughly (see section: "Main­tenance and Cleaning").

4. Leave the doors open after defrosting to avoid accumulation of odours.

Control and Information Systems

The control and information systems consist of a temperature display, an
optical warning indicator light and an acoustic warning.

The system warns:
– when there is a power cut;
– when the appliance doors are open
– when the temperature in the refrigerator or freezer compartment is too

high;
– if there are functional disturbances at the appliance.

Power cut warning

After an interruption to the power supply, POWER is displayed in the display
and the current Actual temperature is displayed again. The appliance con­tinues to run with the previously selected settings. The POWER indicator
goes out, as soon as any button is pressed.

Temperature warning

For the fridge section:

An alarm sounds and the TEMPERATURE indicator and a red back light fla­sh, as soon as the temperature in the fridge section rises above 12 °C.

In addition the temperature display for the fridge section flashes. If the
temperature in the fridge section falls below 12 °C, the alarm automatical­ly switches itself off. The TEMPERATURE indicator and the red back lighting
continue to flash.

1. You can turn off the alarm and warning light using the RESET button.
For 5 seconds the temperature display for the fridge section shows the war-

mest temperature that was reached in the fridge section during the tempe­rature warning. After that the temperature display stops flashing and swit­ches back to the current temperature in the fridge section. The TEMPERA­TURE indicator continue to flash as long as there is a temperature warning.

For the freezer section:

An alarm sounds and the TEMPERATURE indicator and red back light flash,
as soon as the temperature in the freezer section rises above -11 °C. In addi­tion the temperature display for the freezer section flashes.

If the temperature in the freezer section falls back below -11 °C, the alarm
automatically switches itself off. The TEMPERATURE indicator and the red
back lighting continue to flash.

1. You can turn off the alarm and the red back lighting using the RESET but­ton.

For 5 seconds the temperature display for the freezer section shows the
warmest temperature that was reached in the freezer section during the
temperature warning. After that the temperature display stops flashing and
switches back to the current temperature in the freezer section. The TEM­PERATURE indicator continues to flash, as long as there is a temperature
warning.

If there is an interruption to the power supply during an alarm, when the
appliance is reconnected to the supply, it starts with an acoustic and visual
alarm.

If the possibility of partial or complete thawing exists, you should check the
quality of the foods.

A rise in temperature may be caused by:
– frequent door opening for long periods of time;
– loading with large quantities of warm foods;
– high ambient temperature;
– an error with the appliance.

Interior Accessories

Storage shelves

• You should always slide one of the full size glass storage shelf into the

lowest set of guides, above the fruit and the vegetable containers, and
keep it in this position.

• The height of the storage shelves

can be adjusted:

• To do this pull the storage shelf

forward until it can be swivelle­dupwards or downwards and
removed.

• Please do the same in reverse to

insert the shelf at a different hei­ght.

Adjusting the upper door rack

• Depending on the food stored, the upper door racks can be changed to

other holders or removed. Take out the refrigerators food, press the door
racks digonally upwards at their edges, reposition them, and press them
back into place.

Humidity control

The glass shelf incorporates a device
with slits (adjustable by means of a sli­ding lever), which makes it possible to
regulate the temperature in the vege­table drawer(s). Close the slots to
obtain a warmer temperature and
greater humidity. Open the slots to
obtain a cooler temperature and less
humidity.

Function Errors

If the appliance’s electronics recognise a technical problem that has to be
remedied by the Customer Service Department, an alarm sounds and the
SERVICE indicator appears back lit with a flashing red light.

The temperature display indicates:
– a square or a letter in the temperature display of the fridge for a fault in
the fridge,
– a square or a letter in the temperature display of the freezer for a fault in
the freezer.

1. Using the RESET button you can switch off the alarm and the flashing red
light. The SERVICE indicator continues to be lit as long as there is an elec­trical malfunction.

Drawer

The drawer is suitable for storing
fruit and vegetables. There is a
separator inside the drawer that
can be placed in different posi­tions to allow for the subdivision
best suited to personal needs.
There is a grille on the bottom of
the drawer to separate the fruit
and vegetables from any humidity
that may form on the bottom
surface.
To remove the drawer, use the side handles (as shown in the drawing).
All parts inside the drawer can be removed for cleaning purposes.

Bottle rack

Place bottles in the rack with the
bottleneck to the front.

Important: Only store unopened
bottles horizontally.

The bottle rack can be tilted for
storing opened bottles.

To do this pull the bottle rack
forward until it can be tilted
upwards, then slide the front
support into the next level up.

Fresh food refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

• do not store warm food or evaporating liquide in the refrigeator

• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour.

• Position food so that air can circuiate freely round it.
Useful hints:
Meat (all types): wrap in polythene bags and place on the glass shelf above

the vegetable drawer(s)For safety, store in this way only one or two days

at the most.
Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc: these should be covered and may be placed

on any shelf.
Fruit and vegetables: these should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the

special drawer(s) provided.
Butter and cheese: these should be placed in special airtight containers or
wapped in aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude as much air as pos­sible.

Milk bootles: these should have a cap and should be stored in the bottle
rack on the door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not packed, must not be kept in
the refrigerator.

Freezing and storing frozen food

You can use your freezer for freezing fresh food yourself.

Important!

• The temperature in the freezer compartment must be –18 °C or colder

before freezing food.

• Please observe the freezing capacity given on the rating plate. The free-

zing capacity is the maximum quantity of fresh food that can be frozen
within a period of 24 hours. If you wish to freeze food several days in a
row, please observe a maximum capacity of only 2/3 to 3/4 of that on the
rating plate. The quality of the food is best preserved when it is frozen
right through to the core as quickly as possible.

• Allow warm food to cool down before freezing. The warmth will cause

increased ice formation and increase the power consumption.

• Please note the maximum storage times specified by the manufacturer.

• Thawed foods which have not been processed further (cooked into meals)

may not under any circumstances be frozen a second time.

• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures.

There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containers with flamma­ble materials such as, for example, spray cans, fire extinguisher refill car­tridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.

• Bottles and cans must not be placed in the freezer. They can burst when

the contents freeze, high carbonate content drinks can even explode!
Never store lemonade, juices, beer, wine, sparkling wine etc. in the free­zer. Exception: high alcohol content spirits can be stored in the freezer.

• All foods must be packed air tight prior to freezing, so that they do not

dry out or lose their flavour, and so that no flavour contamination of
other frozen goods occurs.

Caution! Do not touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands could free­ze to the food.

1. To achieve faster freezing of food or to freeze the maximum allowed quan­tity, depress the ambient switch 12 hours before loading the food without
modifying the thermostat setting.

2. Place the food to be frozen in the top drawer.

3. Not open the door frequently or leave it open longer than absolutely neces­sary.

Preparation of Ice Cubes

1. Fill the ice cube tray 3/4 full with cold water, place it in the freezer com­partment and leave to freeze.

2. To loosen the frozen cubes, either bend the ice cube tray or hold it under
running water for a few seconds.

Important! Never try to free an ice tray that is frozen to the freezer com­partment using pointed or sharp edged objects. Use the ice scraper supplied.

Freezing Calendar

• The symbols on the drawers show different types of frozen goods.

• The numbers indicate storage times in months for the appropriate types

of frozen goods. Whether the upper or lower value of the indicated sto­rage time is valid depends on the quality of the foods and pre-treating
before freezing. The lower value applies to foods with high fat content.

Ice pack

There are two ice packs in one drawer of the freezer.
In the event of a power failure or malfunction, the ice packs will lengthen

the amount of time it takes for the frozen food to become too warm by
several hours. The ice packs can only fulfil this task optimally if it is placed
in the uppermost drawer, at the front, above the frozen food. You can use
the ice packs for cooling cold bags.

Defrosting

Refrigerator

Frost is automatically eliminated from the evaporator of the refrigerator
compartment every time the motor compressor stops, during normal use.
The defrost water drains out through a trough into a special container at
the back of the appliance, over the motor compressor, where it evaporates.

Freezer

The freezer compartment, however, will become progrssively covered with
frost. This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided, whe­never the tickness of the frost exceeds 4 mm. During this operation it is not
necessary to switch off the power supply or to remove the foodstuffs.

However when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete
defrosting should be carried out as follows:

1. Remove the frozen food from the
freezer, wrap it in several layers of
newspaper and put it in a very
cool place.

2. Switch off the appliance and pull
out the plug, or remove or
unscrew the safety fuses.

3. Leave the freezer compartment
door open.

4. Insert the plastic scraper into the
recess provided under the defrost
water channel and place a collec­ting basin under it.

5. Once defrosting is completed keep the scraper for future use;

6. Turn the thermostat knob to the required setting or replace the plug in the
power socket.

Warning!

Never use metal tools to scrape off the frost
Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the

thawing process other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
A temperature rise of the frozen food packs, during defrosting , may shor-

ten their safe storage life.

Cleaning and Care

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories,
should be cleaned regularly.

Warning!

• The appliance may not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Dan-

ger of electrical shock! Before cleaning switch the appliance offand rem
ve the plug from the mains, or switch off or turn out the circuit breaker
or fuse.

• Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumu-

late in electrical components, danger of electrical shock! Hot vapours can
lead to the damage of plastic parts.

• The appliance must be dry before it is placed back into service.

Attention!

• Ethereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic parts, e.g.
– lemon juice or the juice from orange peals;
– butyric acid;
– cleansers which contain acetic acid.

Do not allow such substances to come into contact with appliance parts.

• Do not use any abrasive cleansers.

1. Remove frozen food and the food from the refrigerator. Wrap frozen
food in several layers of newspaper. Store it in a cool place, well covered.

2. Defrost the freezer compartment prior to cleaning (see "Defrosting" sec­tion).

3. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off
or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse.

4. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm
water. Commercially available dish washing detergents may also be used.

5. After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry.
Accumulation of dust at the condenser increases energy consumption. For

this reason carefully clean the condenser at the back of the appliance once
a year with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.

6. Check the water drain hole on
the rear wall of the fridge. Clear a
blocked drain hole with the aid of
the green peg in the pack of
accessories included with the
appliance.

7. After everything is dry place
appliance back into service.

Energy Saving Tips

• Do not install the appliance near cookers, radiators or other sources of

warmth. High ambient temperatures cause longer, more frequent opera­tion of the compressor.

• Ensure sufficient air circulation and exhaust at the appliance base

and at the back wall of the appliance. Never cover air vent openings.

• Do not place warm foods into the appliance. Allow warm foods to cool

first.

• Only leave door open as long as necessary.

• Do not set temperature any colder than necessary.

• Put frozen food in the fridge to defrost. The cold in the frozen food will

then be used to cool the fridge.

• Keep the heat emitting condenser, the metall grille on the rear wall of

your appliance, always clean.

Correcting Malfunctions

A malfunction may be caused by only a minor fault that you can rectify
yourself using the following instructions. Do not perform any other work on
the appliance if the following information does not provide assistance in
your specific case.

Warning! Repairs to refrigerators/freezers may only be performed by
qualified service engineers. Improper repairs can give rise to significant
hazards for the user. If your appliance needs repairing, please contact your
specialist dealer or our Customer Service.

Heavy build up of frost, possi­bly also on the door seal.

Door seal is not air tight (pos­sibly after changing over the
hinges).

Carefully warm the leaking
sections of the door seal with
a hair dryer (not hotter than
approx. 50 °C). At the same
time shape the warmed door
seal by hand such that it sits

3. To change the light bulb press on the
rear hook and at the same time slide
the cover in the direction indicated
by the arrow.

4. Change the defective light bulb with
one of the some power (the maxi­mum power is shown on the light
diffuser).

5. Refit the light bulb cover.

6. Put the refrigerator back into opera­tion.
