Please comply with these instructions. If you do not, any damage resulting is not covered by the warranty.
Electrical safety
The appliance may only be connect­ed by a qualified service engineer. To ensure electrical safety inbuilt appliances must be installed in suit­able built-in units that meet stand­ards.
Only use the appliance when it has been installed in a unit. If these instructions are followed you will be safe from con­tact with electrical components.
Do not use the appliance if it is dam­aged. In the event of a malfunction or a fault turn off at the fuse box or remove the fuses.
For safety reasons repairs on the appli­ance, particularly on live parts, must only be carried out by a qualified electrician or a trained customer service engineer because otherwise the user could be in considerable danger. In the event of a fault please contact Customer Services immediately.
Children’s safety
Small children must be kept away from the appliance.
Only let bigger children work on the ap­pliance under supervision.
Correct use
This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons whose physi­cal, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge pre­vents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
This appliance should be used only for normal domestic cooking and frying of food.
Additions or modifications to the appli­ance are not permitted.
How to avoid damage to the appliance
Switch the appliance off after each use. All control knobs must be in the Off po­sition.
Some ring control knobs have a stop and may be damaged if they are turned too far. Do not turn the knob beyond the stop but turn back in the other direction.
Safety when cleaning
For cleaning, the appliance must be switched off.
For safety reasons, the cleaning of the appliance with steam jet or high-pres­sure cleaning equipment is not permit­ted.

2 Packaging material
The packaging materials are environ­mentally friendly and can be recycled. The plastic components are identified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the packaging materials in the appropriate container at the com­munity waste disposal facilities.
2 Old appliance
The symbol packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recy­cling of electrical and electronic equip­ment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help pre­vent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by in­appropriate waste handling of this prod­uct. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.

chines?
You can return these to any shop selling new machines or dispose of them at of­ficial S.EN.S collection points or official S.EN.S recycling facilities. The official S.EN.S collection points are listed at www.sens.ch.
1 Warning: So that the old appliance can
no longer cause any danger, make it un­usable before disposing of it.
To do this, disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and remove the mains cable from the appliance.

Initial Cleaning
If necessary remove any stickers and protec­tive film from the appliance (not the rating plate). Remove slight soiling with a soft, clean, damp microfibre cleaning cloth and a mild cleaning agent.

sive cleaning materials. This may dam­age the surface.

Operating the rings
Ring control knobs
Control knobs for normal cooking zones or cast iron hotplates
are turned to the right or left to positions 1 ­9 which will set the required power.
Control knob for glass ceramic with two ring cooking zones
1 Caution! To switch on you must turn
the knob to the right and you must not turn it beyond the stop symbol. To switch off turn the knob to the left.
Small ring for normal cooking zones or cast iron hot plates
Turn the knob to the right. The small ring
can be set from 1 - 9.
Large and small ring for glass ceramic with two ring cooking zone
Turn the knob beyond position 9 to the
stop at the symbol Z. The knob will go back to position 9.
Both rings are now switched on and can both be set to positions 1 - 9.
3 The large ring must be switched back
on if you want to turn the two ring cook­ing zone on again.
1 After use check that the appliance has
been switched off. All control knobs must be set to 0.
Reference values for cooking with rings
3 When warming or searing we recom-
mend that you set the appliance to set­ting 9 and then set it to the appropriate follow on cooking setting to finish cook­ing the food.
2 Switch the oven off approx. 5-10 min-
utes before the end of the cooking proc­ess to make use of the residual heat. This will save electricity.

The outside of the appliance
Wipe down the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and hot soapy water.
For metal fronts, use commercially avail­able cleaning agents.
Please do not use scouring powder or abrasive sponges.
Troubleshooting
Please check whether you can correct minor faults on the appliance yourself using the fol­lowing instructions. If this information does not help you solve the problem, please con­tact Customer Services.

1 Safety instructions for the in-
staller
For protection against the risk of fire this appliance complies with Type Y (EN 60 335-2-6). Only appliances of this type may be installed up against tall units or walls on one side.
Anti-shock protection must be provided by the installation
Control panels, inbuilt control units and inbuilt hobs are fitted with special plug systems. They must only be combined with appliances with a suitable system.

1 When installing in combustible materi-
als, NIN 2000, section 4.2.2 and the fire protection guidelines and the directives of the Association for Cantonal Fire In­surance (Verordnungen der Vereinigung kantonaler Feuerversicherungen) must be observed at all times.
1. Install hotplates in accordance with in­stallation instructions 374 3079 00 or 374 3079 01 so that the hotplate plugs can be plugged in before the control panel is slid in. Connect the hotplates properly. Separate earthing is not re­quired Install glass ceramic cooking surfaces and hobs using separate installation in­structions.
2. Cut out section in the front of the unit in accordance with the illustration. Control panel thickness min. 16 mm, max. 22 mm.
3. Insert the inbuilt control unit into the unit front cut out until the clamping springs (D) on both sides lock into place.
4. Caution! It must be possible to remove the recess floor on site.

Electrical connection

1. The appliance must be connected to the electricity supply by licensed installer.
2. For connecting the appliance directly to the mains a cable length of approxi­mately 120 cm is provided.
3. The appliance must be installed with a socket supply line, otherwise the fixed domestic electrical system must include an isolating device with at least a 3 mm contact opening width to enable all ter­minals to be cut off from the mains si­multaneously in accordance with NIN2000.
4. Removing the appliance:
Remove the control knobs.
Remove the plastic screws (B) and the
control panel.
Remove the recess floor and remove the appliance through the recess opening.
Fit the control panel with the plastic screws.
Fit the control knobs.
5. Open the terminal box (Detail G).
Connect the terminals as in the connec­tion diagram. Close the terminal box.
6. Install as set out in the above text "In­stallation".
7. Caution! The appliance must be dis- connected from the mains for servicing.

Warranty
