the GTP-870HD includes a 1080p -capable, t rue -HD video scalin g engine
based on National Semiconductor’s AVC2510 dual-channel vide o format
conver ter, mor e commonly found in products of considerab ly high er cost.

The HD scaler allows cable, game, DVD, satellite receiver and broad­cast television vide o input to be scal ed to VGA, 480i , 576i, 480p, 576p,
720p50, 720p60, 1080 i, 1080p50 and 1080p60 to match the display’s
native resolution-at a remarkably affordable price.

Video signal decoding and format upconversion ta sks are per formed by

the high reso lution TI TVP-5146, compris ed of four 10-bit A -D converters
with robust sync detection for weak, noi sy or off-standard inpu t signal s and
int ernational sig nal system compatibilit y.

Video digital to analog conversion is mastered by Analog Device’s ADV­7173, with six integral 10-bit conver ters that in the GTP-870HD implemen­tation produce a bey ond -br oadcas t quality Component Video bandwidt h of
over 20 0 MHZ!

Aud io si gnal pro cessing tasks are conducted by the Cirrus Log ic 49 3- series
DSP, a dual 24-bit 192kHz c ompatible eng ine for high fi delity de coding of
cur rent DOLBY Digital, DOLBY Pro-Logic, DTS and other selective, useful
listening mode s. Both audio D/A and A/D convert ers are likewis e 24- bit ,
192kHz solutions from Cirrus Log ic, engineered for wide dynamic range,
negligible distortion and low noise, resulting in excellent sound quality. Ex­ternal 7.1 analog inputs with full DSP bypass capacity allows the GTP-870­HD to be us ed as a premium -performance analog preamplifi er, with choice
of audio output on either single ended RCA or Differential-balanced XLR.
