votre appareil.

Votre appareil est équipé d’un DISPOSITIF DE PILOTAGE INTÉGRÉ qui lui permet de
réguler la température souhaitée grâce à son THERMOSTAT D’AMBIANCE.
Il vous assurera un niveau de confort adapté à vos besoins grâce à ses modes
de fonctionnement
CONFORT, ECO, HORS GEL.
Le mode AUTOMATIQUE permet au thermostat de réguler sur les modes reçus par
une CENTRALE FIL PILOTE* ou par une CENTRALE CPL** (compatible 6 ordres).
La fonction TIMER permet la chauffe ininterrompue de l’appareil pendant une
durée réglable jusqu’à 90 minutes. Elle pourra se déclencher chaque jour à la
même heure par la fonction TIMERPROG.
Pour éviter toute modification intempestive ou involontaire, vous pouvez activer
le VERROUILLAGE ELECTRONIQUE qui permet de bloquer les touches de commande.

1.2 Cas d’un sèche-serviettes - Emplacement de l’appareil
IMPORTANT: ce sèche-serviettes ne doit jamais être installé avec son boîtier d’ali-
mentation en position haute.
Positionner le bas du sèche-serviettes au minimum à 15 cm du sol.
MISE EN GARDE: pour éviter tout danger pour les très jeunes enfants, il est recom-
mandé d’installer ce sèche-serviettes de façon telle que le barreau chauffant le plus
bas soit au moins à 600mm au dessus du sol.
REMARQUE: les radiateurs sèche-serviettes électriques sont conçus pour être recou-
verts sans danger. Pour garantir un fonctionnement efficace de votre appareil, il est
toutefois recommandé de ne pas le couvrir entièrement. Du fait de l’élévation de
température et grâce au coupe circuit interne, il peut dans ce cas interrompre son
fonctionnement.

1.Installation de l’appareil
Pour profiter pleinement de votre appareil et pour votre plus grand confort, nous
vous recommandons:
- de réaliser l’installation si possible à proximité des emplacements à fortes
déperditions (fenêtres, portes, etc.)
- de disposer tout objet (meubles, fauteuils) au minimum à 50 cm environ
de la face avant de l’appareil pour favoriser la circulation de l’air.
- de laisser au minimum 10cm entre le haut de l’appareil et une tablette.
- l’appareil de chauffage ne doit pas être placé juste en dessous d’une prise de
courant.
- d’utiliser des vis de fixation adaptées à la nature de votre mur.
1.1 Cas d’un radiateur - Emplacement de l’appareil
IMPORTANT: ce radiateur ne doit jamais être installé avec son boîtier
d’alimentation en position haute.
Positionner le bas du radiateur au minimum à 10 cm du sol.

1.4 Règles d’installation de l’appareil
INSTRUCTIONS POUR LA FRANCE
(EN APPLICATION DE LA NORME NFC 15.100)
Au delà des règles prescrites dans cette notice, l’installation doit être conforme
à la norme NFC 15.100 et aux règles de l’art.
Cet appareil est de classe II. Il est protégé contre les projections d’eau et peut
être installé dans les volumes 2 et 3, sous réserve que les organes de régulation
électrique ne puissent être touchés par une personne utilisant la baignoire ou la
douche. Il ne doit pas être raccordé à une borne de terre. Il est rappelé qu’un
dispositif de coupure omnipolaire conformément à la norme NFC 15.100 est
obligatoire.
Dans une salle de bain ou de douche, veillez à protéger la ligne électrique par un
dispositif différentiel haute sensibilité 30 mA.
IMPORTANT: L’appareil ne doit pas être soumis à une humidité ambiante intensive
ou permanente (douche, piscine, etc.).

1.3 Raccordement de l’appareil
Les caractéristiques techniques de votre appareil sont indiquées sur son étiquette
signalétique disposée sur le côté, en partie basse. Merci d’en prendre note
préalablement à son installation.
Le raccordement au réseau électrique doit être effectué en respectant :
- La tension et la puissance indiquées sur cette étiquette
- Les couleurs conventionnelles (Marron: phase, Bleu ou Gris : neutre,
Noir : Fil Pilote).
Le câble souple monté d’origine est destiné à être relié au réseau par
l’intermédiaire d’une boîte de connexion qui devra être placée derrière l‘appareil,
sans interposition d’une f iche prise de courant. Dans une cuisine ou une salle de
bains, la boîte de connexion sera placée au moins à 25 cm du sol.
ATTENTION: si le Fil Pilote n’est pas raccordé, la sécurité impose de l’isoler.
Il ne doit en aucun cas être raccordé à la terre.

2.Utilisation de votre
appareil avec le thermostat
2.1 Présentation des modes de fonctionnement
Le passage d’un mode à l’autre se fait par appui sur la touche MODE.
CONFORT C’est le mode à utiliser en cas d’occupation de la pièce
(température par défaut : 19°C). La température est paramétrable par
appuis successifs sur les touches + et – de 7 à 28°C.
ÉCONOMIE (ECO) C’est le mode à utiliser en cas d’inoccupation de
la pièce. Il est conseillé en cas d’absence supérieure à 2 heures
(température par défaut: 15,5°C). La température du mode ECO est
déterminée par défaut par celle choisie en mode CONFORT abaissée
automatiquement de 3,5°C.
HORS GEL C’est le mode à utiliser en cas d’absence prolongée. Il est
conseillé au-delà de 24 heures (température non paramétrable: 7°C).
ARRÊT CHAUFFAGE L’appareil est en mode arrêt chauffage.
AUTO Lorsque le symbole est encadré cela signifie que l’appareil est
piloté par une centrale Courant Porteur en Ligne* (non fournie).
Lorsqu’il n’est pas encadré, l’appareil est piloté par une centrale de
programmation Fil Pilote*(non fournie).
* Le paramétrage des températures se fait uniquement depuis votre appareil.

2.3 Fonctions avancées
TIMERPROG
Cette fonction permet de répéter quotidiennement un TIMER à heure fixe.
Lancer la fonction TIMER en ajustant sa durée (voir chapitre 2.2). Puis maintenir
enfoncée la touche pendant 5 secondes jusqu’au clignotement de .
Puis symboles ON et s’affichent alors.
Votre appareil chauffera à pleine puissance automatiquement tous les jours, une
demi-heure avant l’heure à laquelle la fonction TIMERPROG aura été lancée la
première fois. Le temps restant s’aff iche et défile jusqu’à la fin de la durée
choisie.
Vous pouvez interrompre le TIMER par appui sur la touche .
clignote indiquant que la fonction TIMERPROG est active. Pour désactiver cette
fonction, appuyez sur la touche MODE jusqu’à atteindre le mode ARRÊT CHAUFFAGE.
REMARQUE : la fonction TIMERPROG est désactivée en cas de coupure de courant.
ÉTALONNAGE ET DÉSASSOCIATION DES TEMPÉRATURES CONFORT ET ECO
L’étalonnage permet de corriger un possible écart entre la température atteinte
dans la pièce par la chauffe de l’appareil et la température de consigne demandée
au thermostat.
Ainsi, vous pouvez indiquer l’écart entre la température mesurée par un
thermomètre dans la pièce et la température atteinte en mode
CONFORT.
Maintenir appuyée la touche MODE pendant 5 secondes.
Le thermostat autorise ainsi la modification de la température mesurée de + ou
– 5° C par pas de 0,5° C en appuyant sur les touches + ou –.
Puis appuyer sur la touche MODE pour passer à la fonction désassociation.
Par appuis sur les touches + ou –, vous pouvez choisir:
OF : la température du mode ECO est déterminée par celle choisie en mode CONFORT
abaissée automatiquement de 3,5°C.
ON : la température du mode ECO est réglable indépendamment de celle du mode
CONFORT par appuis sur les touches + et –.
Vous quittez par appui sur la touche MODE.

2.2 Fonctions de base
Choisissez le mode de fonctionnement désiré par appui sur la touche M
ODE
. Vous
pouvez ajuster la température que vous souhaitez atteindre dans la pièce par les
touches + et - (voir chap 2.1).
TIMER
Cette fonction permet de faire chauffer votre appareil à pleine puissance
pendant une durée réglable. Par appui sur la touche , il peut être déclenché à
partir de n’importe quel mode, sauf le mode ARRET CHAUFFAGE.
Les symboles ON et s’affichent alors.
Vous pouvez ajuster la durée par pas de 15 minutes de 15 à 90 minutes par appuis
successifs sur les touches + ou –.
Le temps restant s’affiche et défile jusqu’à la fin de la durée choisie.
Vous pouvez interrompre cette fonction à tout moment par appui sur la touche .
VERROUILLAGE ELECTRONIQUE
Cette fonction permet d’empêcher toute intervention intempestive sur le clavier
de commande.
Par un appui simultané sur les touches + et – pendant 5 secondes, le verrouillage
des touches est alors activé et aucun changement involontaire de mode ou
de température de consigne n’est possible.
Le symbole apparait alors.
Pour désactiver cette fonction, maintenez appuyées les deux touches + et –
simultanément pendant 5 secondes.
REMARQUE : cette fonction n’empêche pas les changements de modes émis
par une centrale Fil Pilote ou CPL.

3.Pour profiter au mieux
de votre appareil
Votre appareil électrique est rempli d’un fluide hydractif et est prêt à l’emploi.
Il est bouchonné et rempli en usine d’une huile minérale thermique haute
performance. Ce fluide ne nécessite aucun entretien particulier. Les réparations
nécessitant l’ouverture des orifices ne doivent être effectuées que par le fabri-
cant ou son service après-vente qui normalement doit être contacté en cas de
fuite d’huile.
Lorsque l'appareil de chauffage est mis au rebut, respecter les réglementations
concernant l'élimination de l'huile. En cas de vidange, le fluide doit obligatoi-
rement être déposé chez un collecteur d’huile usagée.
Dès la mise en chauffe de l’appareil, vous constaterez des phénomènes différents
de ceux générés par un chauffage électrique conventionnel :
- La résistance électrique réchauffe le fluide qui se met progressivement
et de façon naturelle en circulation à l’intérieur de l’appareil.
- Les propriétés d’inertie du fluide font que la température de surface de l’appa-
reil n’atteint un niveau optimal qu’au bout de 10 mn au minimum.
- C’est cette inertie qui à l’inverse garantit la constance et la durée de la chaleur
émise, même lorsque la résistance n’est plus alimentée.
- Il est normal de constater que la partie supérieure de l’appareil soit moins
chaude que le reste du corps de chauffe. En effet, pour permettre la dilatation
nécessaire du fluide lorsqu’il chauffe, l’appareil n’est pas totalement rempli.
Le volume d’air se situant naturellement en partie haute, il est normal que
certains éléments supérieurs paraissent moins chauds.
- Votre appareil est constitué d’une large surface de chauffe, ce qui permet de
façon auto-régulée l’adaptation de la quantité de chaleur émise aux besoins.
Il est donc normal qu’en intersaison, lors d’un fonctionnement modéré
de l’appareil, les écarts de température de surface de l’appareil soient plus
perceptibles.

2.4 Fonction de programmation (mode AUTO)
FONCTIONNEMENT AVEC UNE CENTRALE DE PROGRAMMATION FIL PILOTE*
Votre appareil peut être commandé à distance par une centrale de programma-
tion Fil Pilote*. Une fois raccordé à cette installation (voir chapitre 1.3) il recon-
nait automatiquement cette centrale.
FONCTIONNEMENT AVEC UNE CENTRALE DE PROGRAMMATION CPL*,

émettrice. Pour quitter, appuyer sur la touche .
Pour désassocier votre appareil de cette centrale CPL, appuyer 10 secondes sur la
touche , quelque soit l’affichage en cours.
clignote. Appuyer 25 secondes sur la touche jusqu’à ce que s’affiche:
votre appareil est dorénavant désassocié de la centrale CPL.
REMARQUE : la centrale de programmation CPL ne doit alors pas se trouver
en position d’émission de signal durant cette désassociation.

5.En cas de non fonctionnement
En cas de non fonctionnement de votre appareil, vous pouvez procéder vous-
même aux vérifications suivantes, en vous assurant que :
– votre appareil est convenablement connecté et alimenté (voir chapitre 1),
– le thermostat commande bien la mise en chauffe de l’appareil (voir chapitre 2).
Le symbole ON s’affiche alors à l’écran LCD.
Faites un test de chauffe en lançant un TIMER (voir chapitre 2.2) : le symbole ON
doit s’afficher et vous devriez alors ressentir la chauffe du radiateur au bout de
quelques minutes.
Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant,
son service après-vente ou une personne de qualification similaire afin d’éviter
un danger.
SERVICE APRÈS VENTE
En cas de non fonctionnement ou besoin de pièces détachées, contactez votre
installateur ou votre revendeur.
Au préalable, pour permettre la bonne compréhension et un traitement rapide
du problème, assurez-vous d’avoir bien relevé :
– les éléments figurant sur l’étiquette signalétique de l’appareil
(voir chapitre 1.3),
– la référence commerciale figurant sur votre facture d’achat datée.

limitation des perturbations radioélectriques et aux normes européennes

La garantie ne s’applique pas notamment dans les conditions d’installation,
d’utilisation, de mise en œuvre ou d’entretien non conforme à la norme en
vigueur du pays, aux règles de l’art et à la notice d’utilisation du constructeur.

4.Conseils d’entretien
Avant toute opération d’entretien, prenez soin d’arrêter l’appareil. Par appuis
successifs sur la touche MODE, sélectionnez le mode ARRÊT CHAUFFAGE ( ).
Le choix des meilleurs matériaux et la qualité du traitement de surface protègent
votre appareil de la corrosion et des chocs.
Pour garantir par un entretien simple la longévité de votre appareil, nous vous
recommandons de suivre les conseils suivants:
- Pour l’entretien des parois extérieures de l’appareil, ne pas utiliser de produit
abrasif ou corrosif, utilisez de préférence de l’eau savonneuse tiède.
- Pour le corps du boîtier de régulation, utilisez un chiffon sec (sans solvant).
ENTRETIEN DES OUÏES D’AÉRATION
Pour assurer un fonctionnement normal, il est indispensable de veiller à ce que
les ouïes d’aération situées sous le boitier positionné à l’arrière de l’appareil ne
soient jamais obturées par accumulation de poussière ou autre. Si c’est le cas, il
est impératif de les nettoyer soigneusement à l’aide d’une brosse par exemple.

Thank you for choosing this radiator or towel radiator. This product has been
manufactured in accordance with our stringent quality requirements to give you
total satisfaction. To get the most out of your radiator, we advise you to read
these instructions carefully and keep them to hand.
Thank you for your purchase.
Your appliance is supplied with a BUILT-IN CONTROL UNIT and ROOM THERMOSTAT for
temperature regulation.
With its
COMFORT, ECO and FROST PROTECTION operating modes, the appliance adapts
to suit your needs.
In AUTOMATIC MODE, the thermostat operates to mode commands received via a
PILOT WIRE UNIT* or a PLC UNIT** (6 commands possible). The TIMER function
instructs the appliance to heat continuously for a preset period of up to 90
minutes. This function can be set to operate at the same time every day using
the TIMERPROG function.
To prevent unwanted or unintentional changes to settings, the control buttons
can be disabled using the ELECTRONIC LOCK.
NOTE:Your appliance is equipped with an integrated electronic control system
and we cannot accept any liability should the appliance be used with control
units that function by cutting the supply voltage (refer to the instructions
supplied with your control unit).

1.Installing the appliance
To get the most out of your appliance and enjoy the highest standards of
comfort, we recommend that you:
- install the appliance near places of high heat loss (windows, doors, etc.)
wherever possible
- ensure that an area of about 50 cm in front of the appliance is clear of objects
which might hinder air circulation (furniture, armchairs)
- leave at least 10 cm between the top of the appliance and any shelf
- not place the heating appliance underneath a power outlet
- use mounting screws suitable for your wall.
1.1 Positioning your standard (non-towel) radiator
IMPORTANT: this radiator should never be installed with the power supply unit posi-
tioned topside.
Ensure that the bottom of the radiator is positioned at least 10 cm from the floor.
CAUTION: To avoid overheating, DO NOT COVER the heating appliance.

1.2 Positioning your towel radiator
IMPORTANT: this towel radiator should never be installed with the power
supply unit positioned topside.
Ensure that the bottom of the towel radiator is positioned at least 15 cm from the
floor.
WARNING: To avoid any danger to very young children, you are advised to
install this towel radiator so that the lowest heating bar is at least 600mm
above the ground.
NOTE: electric towel radiators are designed to be covered safely. However, to
ensure that your appliance works ef ficiently, you are advised not to cover it
completely. Doing so will increase the temperature and cause the internal
cutout to turn off the appliance.

1.3 Connecting the appliance
The technical specifications of your appliance are shown on the nameplate, which
is located on the side of the appliance towards the bottom. Please take note of
these before installing the appliance.
When connecting the appliance to the mains, you must ensure that:
- voltage and power are as specified on the nameplate
- standard colour coding is used (brown: live, blue or grey: neutral, black: pilot
wire).
The flexible cable supplied with the appliance is designed to be connected to the
mains via a junction box that must be placed behind the appliance, with no need
for a plug. In a kitchen or bathroom, the junction box must be positioned at least
25 cm from the floor.
CAUTION: If the pilot wire is not connected, it must be insulated for safety reasons.
Under no circumstances must it be connected to earth.
1.4 Radiator installation restrictions
This appliance must be installed in accordance with applicable standards and
good practice in the country concerned.

humidity (shower, swimming pool, etc.).

2.Using your appliance
with the thermostat
2.1 The operating modes
To switch between modes, press the MODE button.
COMFORT This mode should be used when the room is occupied
(default temperature: 19°C). Temperature is adjustable between 7
and 28°C by pressing the + and – buttons.
ECONOMY (ECO) This mode should be used for periods of absence.
It is recommended for periods of absence longer than 2 hours (default
temperature: 15.5°C). The default Eco mode temperature is your
chosen Comfort mode temperature minus 3.5°C.
FROST PROTECTION This mode should be used when the room is
unoccupied for long periods. It is recommended for periods of
absence longer than 24 hours (non-adjustable temperature: 7°C).
NO-HEAT The appliance is in no-heat mode.
AUTO A box around this symbol indicates that the appliance is
controlled by a Powerline Carrier unit* (not supplied). If there is no
box, the appliance is controlled by a Pilot Wire programming base unit*
(not supplied).
* Temperature settings may only be changed on your appliance.

2.3 Advanced functions
TIMERPROG
Use this function to activate the TIMER at a set time every day.
Launch the TIMER function and set the timer duration (see section 2.2). Then keep
the button pressed for 5 seconds until the symbol flashes.
The ON and symbols will then be displayed.
Your appliance will automatically operate on full power every day starting half
an hour before the time the TIMERPROG function was first activated. The time
remaining will scroll across the display until the end of the preset period.
Press the button to exit the TIMER function.
will flash to indicate that the Timerprog function is active. To deactivate,
press the MODE button until NO-HEAT mode is selected..
NOTE: the TIMERPROG function will be deactivated if the power supply is interrupted.
CALIBRATING AND DISASSOCIATING THE COMFORT
AND ECO TEMPERATURES
The calibration facility can be used to correct any variation between the room
temperature achieved by the appliance and the setpoint temperature requested
at the thermostat.
To do this, enter the variation between the temperature measured by a
thermometer in the room and the temperature achieved in
COMFORT mode.
Press the MODE button for 5 seconds.
The thermostat will then allow the measured temperature reading to be changed
by up to + or - 5°C in 0.5°C increments by pressing the + and – buttons..
Then press the MODE button to move to the disassociate function.
Press the + and – buttons to select:
OF : The ECO mode temperature is your chosen COMFORT mode temperature minus
3.5°C.
ON : The ECO mode temperature can be set independently of the COMFORT mode
temperature by pressing the + and – buttons.
Press the MODE button to exit.

2.2 Basic functions
Select your desired operating mode by pressing the M
ODE
button. You can adjust
your room temperature setting by pressing the + and -buttons (see section 2.1).
TIMER
This function allows you to operate your appliance at full power for a preset
period. Press the button to initiate this function from any mode except
NO-HEAT mode.
The ON and symbols will then be displayed.
Press the + and – buttons to adjust the timer duration in 15 minute increments
to a period of between 15 and 90 minutes.
The time remaining will scroll across the display until the end of the preset
period.
Press the button at any time to exit this function..
ELECTRONIC LOCK
Use of this function prevents any unwanted operation of the keypad.
Press the + and –buttons together for 5 seconds to lock the keypad and prevent
any inadvertent change of mode or setpoint temperature.
The symbol will then appear.
To unlock, press the + and – buttons together for 5 seconds.
NOTE: This function will not block mode change commands from a Pilot Wire
or PLC unit.

3.Getting the most out
of your appliance
Your electrical appliance is filled with a circulating fluid and is delivered ready to
use. It is plugged and filled with a high-performance thermal mineral oil before
leaving the factory. This fluid requires no special maintenance. Any repair work
requiring the appliance to be opened should only be carried out by the manufac-
turer or their after-sales service department, which should also be contacted in
the event of an oil leak.
When disposing of the heating appliance, comply with the regulations in force
on the disposal of oil. Fluid obtained when the appliance is emptied must be
taken to a specialist used-oil disposal facility.
As soon as the appliance is heating, you will notice certain differences compared
to a standard electrical heating system:
- The electric heating element heats the fluid, which gradually and naturally
starts circulating in your appliance.
- The inertial properties of the fluid are such that it takes at least ten minutes for
the appliance to reaches its optimum surface temperature.
- This inertia, however, also ensures consistent and sustained heating even when
the element is no longer powered.
- It is normal that the top of the appliance is less hot than the rest of the heating
body. This is because the appliance is not completely filled to allow the fluid to
expand when it heats up. As the air inside is naturally located at the top of the
appliance, it is normal for some of the upper parts of the appliance to feel less
hot.
- Your appliance has a sizeable heating surface which enables it to regulate the
heat it generates according to requirements. It is therefore normal that at
milder times of the year, when the appliance is turned down, variations in the
radiator’s surface temperature are more noticeable.

2.4 Programme function (Auto mode)

unit*. Once connected (see section 1.3), the appliance will recognise the
programming base unit automatically.

5.In case of fault
If your appliance stops working, check that:
– your appliance is properly connected to an appropr iate power supply (see
section 1),
- the thermostat is heating the appliance as it should (see section 2).
The ON symbol is shown on the LCD display.
Test that the appliance is heating by initiating the TIMER function (see section
2.2): the ON symbol should be displayed and after a few minutes you should be
able to feel the appliance heating up.
If the power cable is damaged, for safety reasons it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s after-sales service department or a similarly
qualified person.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
If your appliance stops working or you require spare parts, contact your installer
or dealer.
Prior to making contact and to ensure your problem is dealt with quickly and
effectively, please make a note of:
– the details shown on the appliance nameplate (see section 1.3), the sales refe-
rence for your appliance shown on your dated purchase invoice.
GUARANTEE (see general conditions of sale for the relevant country)
Your radiator complies with Directive 2004/108/EC on the approximation of the
laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and
with European standards EN 60335-1 / 60335-2-30 / 60335-2-43.
CANCELLATION OF THE GUARANTEE
The guarantee shall not apply if the appliance is installed, used or maintained in
a way that does not comply with standards in force in the relevant country, good
professional practice, or the manufacturer’s instructions. For all other questions
regarding the guarantee, please contact your installer or dealer.

4.Taking care of your radiator
Before carrying out any maintenance operation on your appliance, ensure that
it is switched off. Press the MODE button repeatedly until NO-HEAT ( ) mode
is selected..
High-quality materials and surface treatment protect your appliance against
corrosion and impacts.
To maximise the service life of your appliance, we recommend you take the follo-
wing precautions:
- Never use abrasive or corrosive products on the outer surfaces of the appliance;
use warm, soapy water.
- Use a dry cloth (without solvent) to clean the control unit.
MAINTAINING THE VENTILATION INLETS
To ensure that your appliance operates normally, it is essential to ensure that
dust or any other substance is not allowed to accumulate and block the ventila-
tion inlets situated on the housing at the rear of the appliance. If this happens,
you must clean the inlets carefully using a brush or other implement.

Uw toestel is voorzien van een GEÏNTEGREERDE REGELAAR WAARMEE de temperatuur
kan worden geregeld via zijn KAMERTHERMOSTAAT.
U kunt hiermee een comfortniveau instellen dat is afgestemd op uw behoeften,
dankzij zijn bedrijfsmodi
COMFORT, ECO, VORSTVRIJ.
Door de modus Automatisch kan de thermostaat de ontvangen modi regelen via
een STUURDRA ADCENTRALE* of via een PLC-CENTRALE (Power Line Communication,
datacommunicatie via het elektriciteitsnet)** (compatibel met 6 commando's).
Via de functie TIMER is de ononderbroken verwarming van het toestel mogelijk
gedurende een in te stellen periode van max. 90 minuten. Deze kan iedere dag
op hetzelfde tijdstip worden ingeschakeld via de functie TIMERPROG.
Om alle ongewenste of onopzettelijke wijzigingen te voorkomen is het mogelijk
de ELEKTRONISCHE VERGRENDELING in te schakelen, waardoor de functietoetsen
worden geblokkeerd.
OPGELET:uw toestel is voorzien van een geïntegreerde elektronische regeling.

Dit toestel is niet bedoeld voor gebruik door personen (waaronder kinderen)
met een beperkt fysiek, zintuiglijk of geestelijk vermogen, of personen zonder
ervaring of kennis, behalve wanneer er toezicht op hen wordt gehouden door
een persoon die verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid, of ze voorafgaande

Verwerking van elektrische en elektronische apparatuur aan het einde
van hun levensduur. Dit symbool duidt eropdat dit product niet samen

1.Het toestel installeren
Om volledig te kunnen profiteren van het toestel en voor het grootste comfort
raden wij het volgende aan:
- voer de installatie, indien mogelijk, uit in de buurt van plaatsen met een groter
warmteverlies (ramen, deuren, enz.);
- plaats alle objecten (meubels, stoelen) minimaal 50 cm uit de buurt van de
voorzijde van het toestel om de luchtcirculatie te bevorderen;
- laat een ruimte van 10 cm vrij tussen de bovenzijde van het toestel en platen;
- het is niet toegestaan het verwarmingstoestel meteen onder een stopcontact
te plaatsen;
- gebruik montageschroeven die geschikt zijn voor de aard van de wand.
1.1 Bij een radiator - het toestel plaatsen
BELANGRIJK: het is verboden deze radiator met zijn voedingsdoos aan de bovenzijde
te installeren.
Plaats de onderzijde van de radiator op een minimale afstand van 10 cm van de
vloer.
WAARSCHUWING: om oververhitting te voorkomen is het VERBODEN OM HET VERWAR-
MINGSTOESTEL TE BEDEKKEN.

1.3 Het toestel aansluiten
De technische kenmerken van het toestel staan op zijn kenplaatje dat onderaan,
aan de zijkant zit. Wij verzoeken u dit vóór het installeren te lezen.
De aansluiting op het stroomnet dient te worden uitgevoerd met inachtneming
van het volgende:
- de spanning en het vermogen die op dit label worden vermeld;
- de gebruikelijke kleuren (bruin: fase, blauw of grijs: neutraal, zwart:
stuurdraad).
De flexibele, oorspronkelijk gemonteerde kabel is bestemd voor aansluiting op
het stroomnet via een aansluitdoos die zonder een stroomstekker, achter het
toestel moet worden geplaatst. In een keuken of in een badkamer dient de
aansluitdoos op een afstand van minstens 25 cm tot de vloer te worden geplaatst.
OPGELET: indien de stuurdraad niet is aangesloten, dient deze uit het oogpunt van
veiligheid te worden geïsoleerd. Het is verboden deze aan de aarde aan te sluiten.
1.4 Regels voor het installeren van de radiator
Dit apparaat valt onder klasse II. Het is beschermd tegen spattend water. De
installatie moet conform de van kracht zijnde normen en de regels van de kunst
van het land zijn waarin het apparaat wordt gebruikt.
OPGELET: de radiator mag niet worden blootgesteld aan een intensieve of
permanente vochtigheidsgraad van de omgeving (douche, zwembad, enz.).
1.2 Bij een handdoekradiator - het toestel plaatsen
BELANGRIJK: het is verboden deze handdoekradiator met zijn voedingsdoos
aan de bovenzijde te installeren.
Plaats de onderzijde van de handdoekradiator op een minimale afstand van 15
cm van de vloer.
OPGELET: om gevaar voor zeer jonge kinderen te voorkomen wordt aanbe-
volen deze handdoekradiator zodanig te plaatsen, dat de onderste verwar-
mingsstang op een hoogte van minstens 600 mm boven de vloer zit.
OPMERKING: de elektrische handdoekradiatoren zijn ontworpen om zonder
gevaar te kunnen worden bedekt. Om een doeltreffende werking van het
toestel te garanderen wordt echter aanbevolen dit niet volledig te bedekken.
Door de temperatuurstijging en dankzij de interne stroomblokkering kan in
zo'n geval de werking worden onderbroken.

2.Het toestel gebruiken met
de thermostaat
2.1 Uitleg over de bedrijfsmodi
Druk op de toets MODUS om van de ene naar de andere modus te gaan.
COMFORT Deze modus dient te worden gebruikt, wanneer het vertrek in
gebruik is (standaardtemperatuur: 19°C). De temperatuur kan worden
ingesteld van 7 tot 28 door achtereenvolgens op de toetsen + en - te
drukken.
ZUINIGHEID (ECO)Dit is de te gebruiken modus, wanneer het vertrek niet
wordt gebruikt. Deze wordt aanbevolen, wanneer het vertrek langer dan 2
uur niet is bezet (standaardtemperatuur: 15,5). De temperatuur in de Eco-
modus wordt standaard bepaald door de temperatuur die in de Comfort-
modus werd gekozen, automatisch verlaagd met 3,5.
VORSTVRIJ Deze modus dient te worden gebruikt bij een langere afwezigheid.
Deze wordt aangeraden vanaf 24 uur (niet in te stellen temperatuur: 7).
VERWARMINGSSTOP Het toestel staat in de modus Verwarmingsstop.
AUTO Wanneer een symbool is omlijnd, betekent dit dat het toestel wordt
geregeld via een PLC-centrale* (niet meegeleverd). Wanneer deze niet is
omlijnd, wordt het toestel geregeld via een programmeercentrale met stuur-
draad* (niet meegeleverd)
* De temperatuur wordt uitsluitend ingesteld vanaf het toestel.

2.3 Uitgebreide functies
TIMERPROG
Met deze functie is het mogelijk dagelijks een TIMER op een vast tijdstip in te
stellen.
Start de functie TIMER door de duur in te stellen (zie hoofdstuk 2.2.). Houd daarna
toets gedurende 5 seconden ingedrukt, totdat knippert.
Symbolen ON en worden vervolgens weergegeven.
Het toestel zal iedere dag, automatisch, op vol vermogen worden verwarmd, een
half uur vóór het tijdstip waarop de functie TIMERPROG de eerste keer werd opge-
start. De resterende tijd wordt weergegeven en verdwijnt weer, wanneer de
ingestelde tijd is verstreken.
Onderbreek de Timer door op toets te drukken.

om naar de modus VERWARMINGSSTOP te gaan om deze functie uit te schakelen.
OPMERKING: de functie TIMERPROG wordt bij een stroomstoring gedeactiveerd.
KALIBRATIE EN ONTKOPPELING VAN COMFORT EN ECO-TEMPERATUREN
Dankzij de kalibratie kan een mogelijk verschil worden gecorrigeerd tussen de
temperatuur die in het vertrek is bereikt door de verwarming van het toestel en
de gewenste, ingestelde temperatuur op de thermostaat.
Op die manier kan het verschil in temperatuur worden vastgesteld tussen een
thermometer in het vertrek en de bereikte temperatuur in de modus
COMFORT.
Houd de toets MODUS gedurende 5 seconden ingedrukt.
De thermostaat geeft vervolgens de opdracht de gemeten temperatuur met + of
– 5 °C aan te passen met stappen van 0,5 °C door op toetsen + of –te drukken..
Druk daarna op de toets MODUS om de functie te ontkoppelen.
Kies met een druk op toetsen + of – het volgende:
OF : de temperatuur in de ECO-MODUS wordt bepaald door de temperatuur die in
de Comfort-modus werd gekozen, automatisch verlaagd met 3,5 .
ON : de temperatuur van de modus ECO kan onafhankelijk van de temperatuur van
de modus COMFORT worden geregeld door op toetsen + en – te drukken.
Druk op de toets MODUS om de functie te verlaten.

2.2 Basisfuncties
Kies de gewenste bedrijfsmodus door op de toets M

te drukken. Pas de
gewenste kamertemperatuur voor het vertrek aan door op de toetsen + en - te
drukken (zie hoofdst. 2.1).
TIMER
Via deze functie is het mogelijk het toestel gedurende een in te stellen periode op
vol vermogen te verwarmen. Door op de toets te drukken kan deze worden opge-
start ongeacht vanuit welke modus; behalve vanuit de modus VERWARMINGSSTOP.
Symbolen ON en worden vervolgens weergegeven.
Het is mogelijk de duur met stappen van 15 minuten in te stellen van 15 tot 90
minuten door afwisselend op toetsen + of - te drukken.
De resterende tijd wordt weergegeven en verdwijnt weer, wanneer de ingestelde
tijd is verstreken.
Deze functie kan te allen tijde worden onderbroken door op toets te drukken.
ELEKTRONISCHE VERGRENDELING
Via deze functie kan iedere ongewenste ingreep op het toetsenpaneel worden
voorkomen.
Door gedurende 5 seconden tegelijkertijd op toetsen +en – te drukken wordt de
toetsenblokkering geactiveerd en is er geen ongewenste verandering van de
modus of de ingestelde temperatuur meer mogelijk.
Vervolgens verschijnt het symbool .
Om deze functie te deactiveren dienen de twee toetsen + en - tegelijkertijd, gedu-
rende 5 seconden te worden ingedrukt.
OPMERKING:via deze functie worden de wijzigingen van de modi die via een
stuurdraad- of PLC-centrale binnenkomen niet geblokkeerd.

3.Meer voordelen van
uw toestel
Het elektrische toestel is gevuld met een minerale hydraulische vloeistof en is
klaar voor gebruik. Het wordt in de fabriek afgedicht en gevuld met een thermi-
sche minerale olie met hoge prestaties. Deze vloeistof heeft geen bijzonder
onderhoud nodig. De reparaties voor welke het nodig is de openingen te openen,
mogen slechts door de fabrikant worden uitgevoerd of door zijn after-sales-
service die gewoonlijk moet worden geïnformeerd bij lekkage van olie.
Neem de voorschriften in acht betreffende het weggooien van olie, wanneer het
verwarmingstoestel wordt afgedankt. Bij olieverversing is het verplicht de
vloeistof naar een verzamelpunt voor verbruikte olie te brengen.
Vanaf het moment dat het toestel verwarmt, zult u andere verschijnselen waar-
nemen dan bij een conventionele elektrische verwarming:
- de elektrische weerstand verwarmt de vloeistof die geleidelijk en op natuurlijke
wijze binnenin het toestel gaat circuleren;
- de inertie-eigenschappen van de vloeistof zorgen ervoor dat de oppervlakte-
temperatuur van het toestel pas na minimaal 10 min. een optimaal niveau
bereikt;
- omgekeerd wordt door deze eigenschap de constantheid en de duur van de
afgegeven warmte gegarandeerd, zelfs als de weerstand niet meer wordt
gevoed;
- het is normaal dat het bovenste deel van het toestel minder warm wordt dan
het overige deel van het verwarmingslichaam. Het toestel wordt namelijk niet
volledig gevuld om de noodzakelijke uitzetting van de vloeistof tijdens het
verwarmen mogelijk te maken. Aangezien het luchtvolume zich van nature in
het hoogste deel bevindt, is het normaal dat enkele bovenste elementen
minder warm lijken te zijn;
- het toestel is geconstrueerd met een groot verwarmingsoppervlak waardoor op
een automatisch geregelde wijze de hoeveelheid warmte aan de behoeften
wordt aangepast. Daarom is het normaal dat in het tussenseizoen tijdens een
getemperde werking van het toestel, de verschillen in oppervlaktetemperatuur
van het toestel meer opvallen.

2.4 Werking van de programmering (modus Auto)
WERKING VIA EEN PROGRAMMEERCENTRALE MET STUURDRAAD*
Het toestel kan op afstand worden geregeld via een programmeercentrale met
stuurdraad*. Wanneer deze eenmaal op de installatie is aangesloten (zie
hoofdstuk 1.3), herkent deze automatisch deze centrale.
WERKING VIA EEN PROGRAMMEERCENTRALE MET PLC*,
KOPPELING/ONTKOPPELING VAN DE CENTRALE MET PLC
Het toestel kan op afstand worden
geregeld door een programmeercen-
trale met PLC (Power Line Communi-
cation, datacommunicatie via de
elektriciteitsdraad)* volgens stan-
daard X2D.
Daarvoor is het nodig de interface-
cassette** voor Power Line Commu-
nication te plaatsen en het deksel te
sluiten.
Druk ongeacht de werkende weergave gedurende 10 seconden op de toets .

van de centrale om het verzenden van het aansluitsignaal te activeren). Druk

5.Storingen verhelpen
In geval van een storing van het toestel is het mogelijk de volgende controles uit
te voeren door te verifiëren:
- of het toestel naar behoren is aangesloten en wordt gevoed (zie hoofdstuk 1);
- of de thermostaat het opstarten van het verwarmen van het toestel goed regelt
(zie hoofdstuk 2).
Symbool ON wordt dan op het LCD-display weergegeven.
Voer een verwarmingstest uit door een TIMER (zie hoofdstuk 2.2.) te activeren:
symbool ON moet dan verschijnen en in de loop van enkele minuten moet de
warmte van de radiator voelbaar zijn.
Indien de stroomkabel is beschadigd, moet deze worden vervangen door de
fabrikant, zijn after-sales-service of een persoon met vergelijkbare kwalificaties
om gevaar te voorkomen.
AFTER-SALES-SERVICE
Neem bij een storing of voor vervangingsonderdelen contact op met uw instal-
lateur of uw dealer.
Noteer van te voren het volgende om te weten om welk probleem het gaat en dit
snel te kunnen verhelpen:
de gegevens die op het kenplaatje van het toestel worden vermeld (zie hoofdstuk
1.3.); de verkoopreferentie die op uw aankoopfactuur wordt vermeld.

De radiator voldoet aan richtlijn EMC 2004/108/EG inzake de beperking
van radiostoringen en aan de Europese normen EN 60.335.1/60.335.

HET VERVALLEN VAN DE GARANTIE
De garantie is in het bijzonder niet van toepassing bij installatie-, gebruiks-,
inbedrijfnemings- of onderhoudsomstandigheden die niet in overeenstemming
zijn met de geldende norm van het land, de erkende technische regels en de
gebruiksaanwijzing van de fabrikant. Neem contact op met uw installateur of
dealer voor alle andere vragen over de garantie.

4.Onderhoudsinstructies
Zorg er voor alle onderhoudswerkzaamheden voor dat het toestel wordt uitge-
schakeld. Selecteer de modus VERWARMINGSSTOP ( ) door meermaals op de
toets MODUS te drukken.
De keuze van het beste materiaal en de kwaliteit van de oppervlaktebehandeling
beschermen het toestel tegen corrosie en schokken.
Om de levensduur van het toestel door eenvoudig onderhoud te garanderen
raden wij aan de volgende instructies te volgen:
- gebruik voor het onderhoud van de panelen aan de buitenzijde van het toestel
geen schurende of bijtende middelen, maar gebruik bij voorkeur lauwwarm
water met zeepsop;
- gebruik een droge doek voor de behuizing van de regelaar (zonder oplos-
middel).
ONDERHOUD VAN DE VENTILATIEOPENINGEN
Om een normale werking te garanderen is het noodzakelijk ervoor te zorgen dat
de ventilatieopeningen die onder de behuizing, aan de achterzijde van het
toestel zitten, nooit worden geblokkeerd door stof of andere afzettingen. Indien
dit het geval is, is het verplicht deze zorgvuldig te reinigen, bijvoorbeeld met
behulp van een borstel.
