Installation Instructions
The port replicator is designed to connect to the
Extensa™ computer and duplicates all of the ports on
your computer plus additional ports. The port
replicator allows you to have an easy one step
connect/disconnect to the various cables in the back
of your computer.

DC In
Connects the AC adapter output connector to
this jack to recharge the battery and supply
power to the computer.
Caution: Use only the supplied AC adapter with

your computer. Other adapters can cause serious
damage to the electronic circuits.

Connects to a parallel printer or other device
that uses a standard parallel interface. ECP
compatible.
Connects to external devices such as a serial
printer. 16550 UART compatible.
This port has no function. Do not connect any
peripheral to this port.
Connects to an external PS/2 keyboard or
numeric keypad. If you are connecting a
keyboard with a 5-pin DIN connector, you need
to purchase a 6-pin mini-DIN adapter.
Connects to an external PS/2 mouse.
Connects to an external analog monitor.
Connects to a television monitor via its videoinput jack. Use a standard RCA cable.
Connects to a line out device such as
headphones or amplified speakers.
Connects to a line in device such as a
synthesizer, stereo walkman or audio CD

Connecting the Port Replicator
To connect the port replicator, align the right and left
sides of your computer to the corresponding edges of
the port replicator. Slide the port replicator towards
the computer, being careful to also align the port
replicator connector and the guide pins on the
connector to the connector on the back of the
computer.
The port replicator is fully engaged when the release
levers on both sides of the port replicator has clipped
onto the matching holes on the sides of the computer.

Disconnecting the Port Replicator
To detach the port replicator, press the two release
levers on both sides, then push back to disconnect the
option from the computer.
