Acer A-810 Factory Data Reset

How do I perform a Factory Data Reset on my Acer A1-810?

There are a couple different ways to erase user data from the tablet. One method is to select the reset option on the
software menus and the other method is to use a key combination on boot.

Note: The following steps will erase all of your personal information, all stored contacts and any programs you have

installed on your tablet.

Factory data reset via software menus

1. From the Apps menu, tap on Settings, and then tap Backup & reset.

2. Tap on Factory data reset, and then tap Reset Tablet.

3. Tap Erase Everything. The user data is erased.

4. The tablet reboots and goes to the Welcome screen. Follow the onscreen steps to setup your tablet.

Wipe data/factory reset using key combination on boot

1. Power off the tablet.

2. Press and hold the Volume up button, which is located closest to the touch screen lock switch.

3. With the Volume up button held, press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds then release it. Continue

holding the Volume up button.

4. Once the tablet screen turns on, stop holding the buttons.

6. On the Android system recovery <3e> screen, select wipe data/factory reset. Use the Volume up

and Volume down keys to navigate through the menus and use the Power button to select the desired
option.

7. When prompted to Confirm wipe of all user data, select Yes -- delete all user data.

8. User data is erased.

9. On the Android system recovery <3e> screen, select reboot system now.

10. The tablet reboots and goes to the Welcome screen. Follow the onscreen steps to setup your tablet.
