Operation Method
Input letters
In the abc/Abc/ABC mode, press corresponding letter key till the letter appears.
Input words
In the eZi and Indic mode, you can press the keys to key in word. Predictive text input is based on a built-in dictionary. When
you have nished writing the word and it is correct, conrm it by pressing the OK key.
If the word is incorrect, press the Up key or Down key to view other matching words found in the dictionary.
Input digits In the 123 mode, press digit key once.
Input symbol
Press the Navigation keys to switch symbols and press corresponding digit key. Or press the 1 key till the symbol (common symbols) appears except the 123 mode.
Input space Press the 0 key, except the 123 mode.
Erase character Press the Right soft key.
Move cursor Press the Navigation keys.

• Enter main Menu in standby mode.
• Switch to the options at lower left of the LCD.
Right soft key
• Enter All of Contacts in standby mode.
• Switch to the options at lower right of the LCD.
Navigation keys
• Move the cursor up, down, left and right.
• In standby mode, Used as hot keys to enter
the designated functions.
• In standby mode, hold the Down key to swich on/off torch LED.
• In Contacts list, press the Left key or Right key to switch groups.
• Press the Left key or Right key to adjust volume in conversation.
• Used as direction key in games.
OK key
• Conrm the commands and options selected.
• Conrm the character chosen while character
inputting.
• In standby mode, press the OK key to enter My MTS PLANET.
0 ~ 9 Number keys
• Input numbers or characters.
• Hold the 0 key to input + in standby mode.
• Make a Speed Dial call (1 ~ 9) in standby
mode.
• Press to enter corresponding submenu.

Add Name: Add a new contact to your phone or UIM card.
All List: Vi ew all conta cts in all list, press the Left key
or Right key to view d ifferent g roups. I n all list, yo u can search a contact by entering the character matching with the contact name’s rst character, press the OK key to view the details. Select Option for more operations.
Groups: View/edit/create groups and set the group ringer.
Speed Dials: View the speed dial list and set speed dia l.
In the sta ndby mode , ho ld t he number key to dia l th e corresponding call.
Memory Status: View the n umber of entr ies sa ved an d maximum number of entries in phone and UIM card.
Messages
New Message: Create a new text message. The m essage could be sent to multi-receivers. See Text chapter for more instructions of writin g text and character. Select Option to insert contact details or message template when you edit a message.
Inbox/Drafts/Outbox/Sent: Read the messa ges in Inbox/ Drafts/Outbox/Sent.
Message Settings: Change the general/SMS settings.

preformatted in t he phon e. You can vie w, edit, delete or send them, besides you can create new templates.
Delete Message: You can choose to delete the messages in the inbox, drafts, outbox, sent or delete them together.

Key Function Description
# key
• Hold the # key in standby mode to enable/ disable vibration.
• Press the # key to change the text mode when edit text.
* key
• Hold the * key in standby mode to lock phone’s keypad.
• Press the * key to enter symbols in text input mode.
Open the Back Cover
Remove the back cover as shown below.
Inserting the UIM Card
Insert the UIM card as shown below.
Installing the Battery
Install the battery as shown below.
Charging Your Phone
1. Insert the lead from the charger to the socket, and connect the charger to a standard wall AC socket.
2. After the completion of ch arging, disconnect the charger from the phone and AC socket.
Switching On/Off
1. Hold the End key to switch on/off your phone.
2. The phone will automatically search for available networks.

Keypad Lock
If you activate Auto Keypad Lock, the keypad will be locked automatically according to your settings. Hold the * key to lock the keypad in standby mode. If you want to unlock the keypad, simply press the Right soft
key, and then press the * key. Notes: If the call is coming when the keypad is locked, you can press the Call key to answer.
When the keypad is locked, calls may be possible to the ofcial
emergency number programmed into your device.
Phone Code
Phone code could prevent your p hone fro m illeg al use. The default phone cod e is 0000. Please c hange it t o your ow n as soon as possible. Notes: Please remember the code; otherwise som e service expense may happen.
PIN and PUK
PIN Code
PIN code could p revent your UIM card from illegal use. When PIN lock is on, you should enter the PIN code when powering on the handset again. The network provider offers you PIN code (four to eight dig its). You should change PIN code as soon as possible for security.
PUK Code
Consecutive inputting wrong PIN code for three times can cause locking of UIM card. To unlock, you need PUK code.
Notes: PIN cod e and PUK code may be o ffered togeth er wi th th e UIM card. If not, please contact your network service provider. Please chan ge d efault PI N co de t o yo ur own as s oon as possible.
Changing the Phone Language
The mobile phone sup ports English and Hindi, you can switch the languages as follows:
1. In t he standby m ode, press t he Left soft key to go to the main menu.
2. Select Settings > Phone Settings > Language to choose the language which you want.
Torch
In standby mode, hold the Down key to swich on/off torch LED.
Text
Your phone offers t ext input modes: abc, Abc , ABC, 123, eZi, Indic and Symbols.

Press the # key to select another text mode, press the * key to enter the symbols mode.

Memory Status: Check the storage status of the phone/UIM card.
Call History
Call History: View call’s log. Select Option to perform more operations accordingly.
Call Dur ation : C heck the ca ll durat ion and cle ar the corresponding time.
Settings
Prole: Select or edit the prole.
Display Settings: You can change the settin gs of scre en/
theme/banner /keypad light.
Phone Settings: Set th e langu age/shortcu t/auto k eypad lock/power save/aut o power on/off of the phone and vie w the version information.
Call Settings: Set the call/answer/call information reminder/ black list/voice privacy/international dial settings.
Time & Date Settings: Set time and date format of your phone.
Security Settings: C hange the settings about t he phone
code, PIN code, restore factory settings and clear user data.
Other Functions
Hereinafter are the other functions of the phone.
Voice Recorder
1. Select Menu > Tools > Voice Recorder.
2. Select Option > Settings to set the volume.
3. Go back to the voice recorder interface, and press the OK

is a bit wet or anti-static. Do not use harsh chemical cleaning solvents or strong detergents to clean it. Turn off your phone before you clean it.
• As your mobile phone can produce electromagnetic eld, do
not place it near magnetic items such as computer disks.
• Using t he pho ne near e lect rica l appl ianc es such a s
TV, teleph one, r adio and p ersonal compu ter c an ca use interference, which affects the function of the phone.
• Do not expose your mobile phone to direct sunlight or store
it in hot areas. High temperatures can s horten th e life of electronic devices.
• Prevent liquid from leaking into your phone.
• Do not drop , kno ck or harsh ly tre at yo ur pho ne. R ough
handling can break internal circuit boards.
• Do not charge the mobile phone without battery.
• Do not short-circuit the battery, as this can cause excessive heat and re.
• Do not store battery in hot areas or dispose of it in a re to
avoid explosion.
• Store the phone out of the reach of little children. The phone may cause injury if used as a toy.
• Be aware of the usage limitation when using a mobile phone
at places such as o il war ehouses or ch emical factorie s, where there are explosive gases or explosive products being processed, because even if your phone is in standby mode,
it still transmi ts rad io freq uency (RF) en ergy. The refore,
power off your phone if required.
• Do not touch the antenna while calling. Otherwis e it will affect the quali ty of c alling and waste batter y energy. The
damaged antenna will cause slight burn while touching your skin.
• Do not put other things on the terminal to avoid overlay ing
radiator.
• Keep the antenna f ree from obstructions and posit ion the antenna straight up. This will ensure best call quality.
• Use a wireless hands-free system (headphone, headset )
with a low power Bluetooth emitter.
• Make sure the cell phone has a low SAR.
• Keep your calls short or send a text message (SMS) instead.
This advice applies especi ally to children, adolescents and pregnant women.
• Use cell phone when the signal quality is good.
• People having a ctive me dical im plants should p referably
keep the cell phone at least 15 cm away from the implant.
General Guidelines
• If your mobile phone is lost or stolen, please report to your
service provider or agencies of banning the use of your lost phone, which will protect you from economic losses resulted from unautho rized us e. You ne ed to provide the ph one’s ESN/MEID number labeled. You can see ESN/MEID number after removing the battery. Please keep ESN/MEID number for future use.
• To protect your mobile phone fro m illegal use, please take
the security measures as follows:  Set PIN code of the UIM card.  Take it with you as you can.
Road Safety
• You must exercise proper control of your vehicle at all times.
Give your full attention to driving.
• Observe all of the recommendations contained in your local
trafc safety documentation.
• Pull off the road and park before making or answering a call,
if driving co nditions requir e so. C heck if local laws and/or
regulations restrict the use of handsets while driving
• You must not stop on the hard shoulder of a mo torway to
answer or make a call, except in an emergency.
• Power off your handset at a refueling point, such as a gas
station, even if you are not refueling your own car.
• Do not store or carry ammable or explosive materials in the
same compartment as the handset.
• Electronic sys tems i n vehi cle, s uch as anti- lock brakes,
speed control and fuel injection systems are not n ormally
affected by radio transmissions. The manufacturer of such
equipment can advise if it is adequately shielded from radio
transmissions. If you suspect vehicle pr oblems caused by
radio transmissions, cons ult your deale r and do not power
on the handset until it has b een ch ecked by a qualif ied
technician.
Hospital Safety
• Some electronic devices are susceptible to electromagnetic interference sent by phone if inadequately shielded. Please
use phone at least 20 c m or as far away as you can from
TV set, radio and other automated ofce equipment so as to
avoid electromagnetic interference.
• Operating of m obile phon e ma y in terfe re w ith medica l
devices l ike he aring aid an d pace maker. P lease always keep the mobile phone more than 20 centimeters away from such medical d evices when the phone is powe red on. Do not carry the mobile phone in the breast pocket. Power the mobile phone off if necessary. Co nsult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical device before using the phone.
Emergency Service
To make an emergency call in any country:
1. Ensure that your handset is on and in service.
2. Press the End key as many times as needed to clear the display and ready the device for calls.
3. Ent er the offic ial emerg ency num ber for your pre sent location.
4. Press the Call key to dial the number. Follow instructions received and do not end the call until told to do so.
When the UIM card is not inserted or when the phone/PIN code is on, Press Emer and then enter the ofcial emergency number for your present location. Press the Call key to dial the number.
Notes:
• Tell the o pera tor wh ich ser vic e y ou req uire : Poli ce, Ambulance, Fire Brigade, Coastguard or Moun tain Rescue
Service. Tell them where you are and remain stationary to maintain contact if possible.
• Due to the nature of the cellula r syste m, the connect ion
of eme rgency cal ls c annot be guaran teed. You should never rely sol ely on a ny wirele ss devic e fo r es senti al communications like medical emergencies.
Third Party Equipment
The use of third party equi pment, cabl es or accessories, not
made or authorized by ZTE, may invalidate the warranty of your handset and also adversely affect the phone’s safety/operation.
Vehicles Equipped with an Airbag
An air bag infla tes with great fo rce. Do not place obj ects, including either installe d or portabl e wire less eq uipment, in
the area ov er the airbag or in the airbag deployment area. If
in-vehicle wir eless equi pment is improperly installed and t he airbag inates, serious injury could result.
Aircraft Safety
• Power off your phon e be fore the airpla ne t akes off. In
order t o pr otect airpla ne’s communi cation syst em f rom interference, it is proh ibited to use mobil e phone in flight. If you want to use mobile phone before the airplane takes off, you should get aircrew’s permission according to safety
regulations.
• If the mobile phone has th e funct ion of automati c timin g
power-on, please check y our alarm setting t o ensure that your phone will not be automatically powered on during the
ight.
Radio Frequency (RF) Energy
This model phone meets t he gover nment’s r equirements for
exposure to radio waves. This phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed t he
emission li mits for exposur e to radio f requency (RF) e nergy set by th e Federal Communica tions Com mission o f the U.S.
Government: The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a
unit of measurement known as the Specic Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. *Tests for SAR
are conduc ted us ing st andard operating positi ons ac cepted
by the FCC with the pho ne transmitting at its h ighest certied power level in all tested frequency bands. Alt hough the SAR
is determined at t he highest certifie d power level, the actu al SAR level of the phone while operating can be well below the maximum va lue. This is beca use the phone is designed to operate at multiple power level s so as to use only the po ser
required to reach the network. In general, the closer you are to

4. Press the Left soft key [Pause] to pause, pr ess the Left soft key [Continue] to resume recording.
5. Press the Right soft key [Stop] to stop recording, and then the voice memo will be saved automatically.
Press the OK key to play it. Select Option to perform more actions to the recorded memo.

Games: Select one game and play it.
File Manager: Organize your les in folders.
Alarm: Set alarm alert time.
Calendar: View calendar and schedule events.
Calculator: Execute basic math calculation.
Unit Converter: Make unit conversion.
World Time: View times of the other cities in the world and
perform corresponding operations.
Stopwatch: Select the normal/lap/split timing mode to count time.
Notepad: Create notes as memos.
