Trigger Cover
OMNII™ PISTOL GRIP INSTALLATION & REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Introduction

There are a number of pistol grips available depending on the type of back cover and scanner/imager installed in your hand-held. Refer to the table below for a list of pistol grip model numbers along with the types of back covers and scanners/imagers with which they are compatible.

2. Removing the Trigger Cover

Warning: If you are removing an existing pistol grip, skip this step and follow the steps described under
“Removing the Pistol Grip” on page 2.
Before installing the pistol grip, you need to remove the trigger cover.

3. Attaching the Pistol Grip

Important: If you are replacing an existing pistol grip, you’ll need to follow the steps described under “Removing
Prior to installation, make sure the trigger mechanism is securely snapped into the pistol grip body and that the trigger operates properly.
The pistol grip is attached to the back cover of your Omnii using the four threaded inserts in the upper part of the Omnii casing. Four M3x6 Phillips head screws are provided with this accessory.
Position the pistol grip so that it fits snugly over the back of the unit and the holes in the pistol grip are aligned with the threaded inserts on the back of the hand-held. Figure 2, Attaching the Pistol Grip, provides a visual illustration.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, tighten the screws to a torque of 3 in-lb (3.5 Kgf-cm) to secure the pistol grip in place.

4. Removing the Pistol Grip

Remove the 4 screws holding the pistol grip in place.
Clean the perimeter of the trigger cover area with isopropyl alcohol.
Important: If you are replacing an existing pistol grip with a new pistol grip, remove the screws and clean the perimeter
Fit the trigger cover over the opening, and press it firmly into place.
