Installation Instruction for MT3602-10/12 Keyboard Bracket
Installation
Step 1: Slide the bolts on the Keypad Bracket (B)
though the holes on the Standard Mount Bracket
(A) as shown in Figure 1.

J 8580/90 Vehicle Mount Terminal
Step 2: Fix the keypad bracket to the
Standard Mount bracket with two M6 Nuts
(C). Torque to 18 lbf-in. See Figure 2.

Step 3: Place threaded bolts on the
Small Keypad / Numeric 24 Key
Keypad * through the long slots on the
Keypad Bracket (B), and initially fix
the keypad(s) loosely with four M4
Hexagon Nuts (D). It must be adjusted
later (When mounting the 8580/8590 to
the Standard Mount Bracket).
* For assembly with Small Keypad (E)
see Figure 3-1.
* For assembly with Numeric 24 Key
Keypad (F) see Figure 3-2.
Step 4: Connect the Small Keyboard /
Numeric 24 Key Keypad cable to the
8580 / 8590 Vehicle Mount Terminal.
Note: The small keypad and the numeric keyboard use a USB
interface to connect to the 8580/90 Vehicle Mount Terminal. This
interface is protected from atmospheric influences by an IP65 cable
cover. The cable cover must be removed and reinstalled correctly
when connecting the interface cables. Please ensure you attach the
cable cover as per 8580/90 Vehicle Mount User Manual, see
section 4.1 complying with Protection Standards IP65. The
protection class can no longer be guaranteed if the cable cover is
installed incorrectly.

Step 5:
Standard Mount Bracket (A) to
the 8580/8590 (J) using four M8 x
12 Screws (G) with the four Flat
Washers (H). Torque to 25 lbf-in.
See Figure 5.
Step 6: Adjust the Small Keypad
(B) or the Numeric Keypad (F)
and fully tighten the four M4
Hexagon Nuts (D).
Torque to 9 lbf-in.
See Figure 3-1 or 3-2 as needed.
