Parts which heat up should not be
exposed. Wherever possible the back of
the product should be against a wall.
Before any cleaning or maintenance work
is carried out, be sure to switch off the
appliance and unplug.
If the appliance has been transported
horizontally, it is possible that the oil
contained in the compressor flows in the
refrigerant circuit. It is also advisable to
wait at least two hours before
connecting the appliance to allow the oil
to flow back in the compressor.
The inner lining of the appliance consists
of channels through which the
refrigerant passes. If this should be
punctured this would damage the
appliance beyond repair and cause food
loss. DO NOT USE SHARP
INSTRUMENTS to scrape off frost or
ice. Frost may be removed by using the
scraper provided. Under no
circumstances should solid ice be forced
off the liner. Solid ice should be allowed
to thaw when defrosting the appliance.
See defrost instructions.
Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks
in the freezer as it creates pressure on
the container, which may cause it to
explode, resulting in damage to the

Assistenza tecnica
e ricambi
Cosa fare se rapparecchio
non funziona
Qualora l’apparecchio presentasse
qualche disfunzione, è bene controllare;
che la spina del cavo di alimentazione
sia inserita e l’interruttore dell’impianto
elettrico sia chiuso;
che non manchi l’energia elettrica;
che la manopola del termostato non si
trovi sullo «•»;
inoltre:
se l’apparecchio è eccessivamente
rumoroso, verificare che i fianchi non
siano a contatto con mobili che possono
causare rumori o vibrazioni e che le
tubazioni dell’unità refrigerante non
vibrino;
se vi sono tracce di acqua sul fondo
dello scomparto refrigerante dei
frigoriferi ciclici, tre stelle, quattro
stelle, assicurarsi che il foro di deflusso
deH’acqua di sbrinamento non sia
ostruito.
Dopo le verifiche di cui sopra, se la
disfunzione dovesse permanere, è bene
chiamare il Centro di Assistenza
Tecnica più vicino.
Per un sollecito intervento è
importante, all’atto della chiamata,

lotabile e vanno riposte nello scomparto
longelatore o in quello evaporatore.
Inattività dell’apparecchio
'iei periodi di inattività, ad esempio
lurante le vacanze, consigliamo di
isare i seguenti accorgimenti:
staccare la spina dalla presa di
;orrente;
-ogliere tutti gli alimenti
iall’apparecchio;
Dulire accuratamente l’interno e le
Darti mobili;
asciare la porta socchiusa per favorire
a circolazione deH’aria aH’interno, onde
evitare la formazione di odori
5gradevoli.
Pulizia periodica
onde favorire lo smaltimento di calore;
questa operazione migliorerà il
funzionamento con conseguente
risparmio di energia.
Pulire ogni 3-4 mesi la bacinella di
raccolta dell’acqua di sbrinamento e
controllare che " mro del convogliatore
sia pulito.

Sostituzione della lampada di
illuminazione
(Per i modelli che ne sono dotati)
Una lampadina difettosa può venir
facilmente sostituita.
Per far ciò, staccare la spina dalla
presa di corrente oppure interrompere
il circuito elettrico. La lampadina è
accessibile dalla parte posteriore del
diffusore luce in alcuni modelli; per
altri modelli, invece, si dovrà togliere il
diffusore luce inserito a scatto, oppure
fissato con una vite.
Installation
Foreword
Caution: if this refrigerator featuring
magnetic door seals is to replace an
older appliance having a spring lock
(latch) on the door or lid, be sure to
make that spring lock unusable before
you discard the old appliance.
This will prevent it from becoming a
death-trap for a child.
Location
Place the refrigerator away from all
heat sources, such as: radiators, heating
stoves, direct sun light etc. Best results
are obtained with a room temperature
ranging between 16°C and 32°C.
Make sure that there is nothing at the
back of the refrigerator to obstruct air
circulation.
The appliance may also be built-in
between cabinets, with the sides
touching the adjacent furniture, as long
as air can circulate freely at the rear.
One or more adjustable feet at the
front of the cabinet base make it
possible to accurately level the
refrigerator.
Rear spacers
(for models incorporating these features)
In the plastic envelope containing the
Operating Instructions are also included
two wall spacers to be fitted into
the special openings on the back of the
appliance.
FMsh-fit the spacers into the openings,
paying attention that the arrow shown on
their head is at an angle of 45 “ (/), then
turn them anticlockwise until they lock in
(arrow in vertical position 0).
Electrical connection
Before you plug the appliance into an
A.C. mains supply, make sure that the
voltage and frequency shown on the
rating plate correspond to your home
supply. A 6% fluctuation above or
below the rated voltage is admissible.
To adapt the refrigerator to other
voltages, use an autotransformer
having a minimum output of 500 VA.
Important: It is essential that the
appliance be connected to an efficient
earth tap.
For this purpose the supply cable plug
incorporates a special earth contact. If
the sockets of your domestic wiring
system are not grounded, have the
appliance connected to a separate
ground wire by a qualified electrician in
accordance with existing safety
regulations.
The manufacturer declines to accept
any liability should this safety rule not
be observed.
This appliance complies with E.E.C.
Directive No. 76/889 of 4.11.76 dealing
with radio interference suppression.
Cleaning the interior
Before using the refrigerator for the
first time, wash the interior and all
internal accessories with lukewarm
water and some neutral soap so as to
remove the typical smell of a brand-
new product, then dry thoroughly. Do
not use detergents which will leave an
odour or abrasive powders on the
interior, as these will damage the
finish.
