Red display screen.
Press button D, and the warmest temperature that caused the alarm will be displayed for 5 seconds. Take action as described in the “food preservation” section (page 7).
Dynamic Cooling (DAC):
The Dynamic Cooling (DAC) system(some models) provides extra performance in the refrigerator compartment, which is manifested as:
• Faster cooling.
• More even temperature. This is particularly appropriate when the weather is warm (ambient temperatures above 25°), and when a large amount of food is stored. It is also recommended for humid environments (if an accumulation of frost is observed on the back wall of the refrigerator compartment). To use this feature, press the switch.
Inside light:
(H)
The light switches on when the refrigerator compartment door is opened, and switches off when it is closed. If you need to access the light (see «TROUBLESHOOTING)», remove the protective cover (X) by pulling horizontally on the catch.

Freezing foods
This freezer, marked , is suitable for freezing fresh foods and for long-term food preservation.
Food preservation
Freezing should take place in the shortest time possible, 24 hours maximum. You should therefore proceed as follows:
1... To obtain the maximum frozen capacity, use button D to select the fast freeze function 24 hours before introducing foods for freezing.
2... The maximum frozen capacity in 24 hours is indicated in «Technical Characteristics».
3... Introduce the foods to be frozen in the upper compartment of the freezer. If necessary, maximum freezing capacity is achieved by removing the top drawer.
4... This function switches off automatically 48
hours after it is activated.
5... You may switch it off manually by pressing
button D.
Preserving frozen foods
For proper food preservation, the temperature inside the freezer compartment should be at least as cold as -18ºC. This temperature is regulated with an automatic device.
If the appliance accidentally switches off due to a malfunction or power failure, proceed as follows:
• Keep the doors closed in any case.
• Find out how long the power is likely to be off. Once normal conditions have been restored:
A) If the freezer is full and power has been off for less than
the «Temperature increase time» indicated for each model in the «Technical Characteristics», the food has suffered no damage.
B) If the freezer is not full, cold will be lost more quickly.
If defrosting still has not begun, proceed in described in «A».
C) If defrosting has begun, consume the foods
quickly or cook and refreeze them.
Refrigerator compartment:
This is suitable for preserving beverages and fresh foods. The interior temperature is extremely homogeneous. Do not allow foods to touch the back wall. Cold
is produced behind this wall, which could cause foods to partially freeze. It could also interfere with proper cold air circulation. This appliance is also equipped with an automatic defrost system. This is why you can sometimes see a thin layer of ice or drops of water on the back wall.
ColdStore Compartment (some models)
The models equippied with this feature in the fridge part, it is indicated for a best conservatiom of fresh foods as fish, meat seafood, etc. It is placed in the lower part, directly above of the
vegetable conservation drawer.

How to care for your Refrigerator-Freezer
Unplug the appliance before performing any operations.
Removing the layer of ice from the freezer
The layer of ice inside the freezer forms very slowly, as long as the doors are not opened too frequently and the foods preserved are properly wrapped. When the layer of ice becomes more than 5 mm thick, it must be removed. To remove it, proceed as follows:
1... Remove the foods from the freezer and place them in the coldest place possible.
2…Remove the drawers.
3…Remove the rubber plug (see figure 8) and
place it as shown in figure 9.
4…Place a container under the drain hole to
collect the water.
5…Remove the ice from the walls and shelves
using the plastic scraper.
• Never use sharp objects or heaters, which could seriously damage the appliance.
• Under no circumstances should you try to rip out the ice - wait for it to melt.
6…After removing the ice and cleaning and drying
the interior, remove the rubber plug and replace the drawers.
7…Plug in the appliance.
