Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise

Vorsicht! Die Belüftungsöffnungen müssen immer
frei von Hindernissen sein.

• Das Gerät ist für die Aufbewahrung von Lebensmitteln
und/oder Getränken in einem normalen Haushalt be­stimmt, wie in den vorliegenden Bedienungsanwei­sungen beschrieben wird.

• Benutzen Sie keine mechanischen oder sonstigen
Hilfsmittel, um den Abtauprozess zu beschleunigen.

• Verwenden Sie keine anderen Elektrogeräte (wie Spei­seeisbereiter) in Kühlgeräten, wenn solche Geräte
nicht ausdrücklich vom Hersteller für diesen Zweck
zugelassen sind.

• Achten Sie darauf, den Kühlkreislauf nicht zu beschä­digen.

• Das Kältemittel Isobutan (R600a) im Kältekreislauf des
Gerätes ist ein natürliches und sehr umweltfreundli­ches Gas, das jedoch leicht entflammbar ist.
Achten Sie beim Transport und bei der Aufstellung des
Gerätes darauf, nicht die Komponenten des Kältekre is­laufs zu beschädigen.
Bei einer eventuellen Beschädigung des Kältekreis­laufs:

– offene Flammen und Zündfunken vermeiden
– den Raum, in dem das Gerät installiert ist, gut lüften

• Änderungen der Spezifikationen und am Gerät sind
gefährlich. Ein defektes Netzkabel kann Kurzschlüsse
und Feuer verursachen und/oder zu Stromschlägen
führen.

Warnung! Elektrische Bauteile (Netzkabel, Stecker,
Kompressor) dürfen nur vom Kundendienst oder

einer kompetenten Fachkraft ausgewechselt werden.

1. Das Netzkabel darf nicht verlängert werden.

2. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netzstecker nicht

von der Geräterückseite gequetscht oder beschä­digt wird. Ein gequetschter oder beschädigter
Netzstecker überhitzt und kann einen Brand ver­ursachen.

3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netzstecker des

Gerätes frei zugänglich ist.

4. Ziehen Sie nicht am Netzkabel.

5. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker nie in eine lockere

Steckdose. Es besteht Brand- und Stromschlag­gefahr.

Täglicher Gebrauch

• Legen Sie Lebensmittel nicht direkt vor den Luftaus­lass auf der Rückwand.

• Ein aufgetautes Produkt darf nicht wieder eingefroren
werden.

• Abgepackte Tiefkühlkost immer entsprechend den
Herstellerangaben aufbewahren.

• Die Lagerempfehlungen des Geräteherstellers sollten
strikt eingehalten werden. Halten Sie sich an die be­treffenden Anweisungen.

• Keine kohlensäurehaltigen Getränke oder Sprudel in
den Tiefkühlschrank stellen, da der Druckanstieg in

Reinigung und Pflege

• Schalten Sie vor Wartungsarbeiten immer das Gerät ab
und ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
Falls Sie nicht an die Steckdose kommen, unterbre­chen Sie die Stromversorgung.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit Metallgegenständen.

• Keine scharfen Gegenstände zum Entfernen von Reif
und Eis im Gerät verwenden. Verwenden Sie einen
Kunststoffschaber.

Inbetriebnahme

Wichtig! Halten Sie sich für den elektrischen Anschluss
bitte genau an die Anweisungen im betreffenden
Abschnitt.

• Kontrollieren Sie nach dem Auspacken das Gerät auf
eventuelle Beschädigungen. Nehmen Sie das Gerät
nicht in Betrieb, wenn es beschädigt ist. Melden Sie
die Schäden umgehend dem Händler, bei dem Sie es
erworben haben. Bewahren Sie in diesem Fall die Ver­packung auf.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät mindestens vier Stunden stehen,
bevor Sie es elektrisch anschließen, damit das Öl in
den Kompressor zurückfließen kann.

• Ausreichenden Freiraum zur Luftzirkulation um das
Gerät lassen; anderenfalls besteht Überhitzungsge­fahr. Halten Sie sich für die Belüftung an die Installa­tionsanweisungen.

• Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von Heizkörpern oder
Kochern installiert werden.

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netzstecker des Ge­rätes nach der Installation frei zugänglich ist.

Kundendienst

• Sollte die Wartung des Gerätes elektrische Arbeiten
verlangen, so dürfen diese nur von einem qualifizierten
Elektriker oder einem Elektro-Fachmann durchgeführt
werden.

• Wenden Sie sich für Reparaturen und Wartung nur an
Fachkräfte der autorisierten Kundendienststellen und
verlangen Sie stets Original-Ersatzteile.

Das Gerät enthält im Kältekreis oder in dem Isolier-

material keine ozonschädigenden Gase. Das Gerät
darf nicht wie normaler Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die
Isolierung enthält entzündliche Gase: das Gerät muss ge-

Allerdings muss für eine exakte Einstellung berücksich­tigt werden, dass die Temperatur im Innern des Gerätes
von verschiedenen Faktoren abhängt:

•Raumtemperatur

• von der Häufigkeit der Türöffnung

• von der Menge der eingelagerten Lebensmittel

• und vom Standort des Geräts.

5 Temperaturregler

Superfrost-Funktion (Schnellgefrieren)

Durch Drücken der Superfrost-Taste können Sie die Su­perfrost-Funktion (Schnellgefrieren) einschalten.
Die Superfrost-Kontrolllampe leuchtet auf.
Diese Funktion endet automatisch nach 52 Stunden.
Diese Funktion kann jederzeit durch Drücken des Super­frost-Schalters (Schnellgefrieren) ausgeschaltet werden.
Die Superfrost-Kontrolllampe erlischt.

Temperaturwarnung

Ein Anstieg der Temperatur im Gefriergerät (zum Beispiel
aufgrund eines Stromausfalls) wird durch das Blinken der
Alarmleuchte angezeigt
Bitte legen Sie während der Alarmphase keine Lebens­mittel in das Gefriergerät ein.
Sobald die normalen Bedingungen wieder hergestellt
sind, schaltet sich die Alarmleuchte automatisch aus.

Erste Inbetriebnahme

Reinigung des Innenraums

Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, beseitigen Sie den
typischen "Neugeruch" am besten durch Auswaschen der
Innenteile mit lauwarmem Wasser und einem neutralen
Reinigungsmittel. Sorgfältig nachtrocknen.

Täglicher Gebrauch

Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel

Das Gefrierfach eignet sich zum Einfrieren von frischen
Lebensmitteln und zum Lagern von gefrorenen und tief­gefrorenen Lebensmitteln für einen längeren Zeitraum.
Um frische Lebensmittel einzufrieren, schalten Sie bitte
die Superfrost-Funktion (Schnellgefrieren) mindestens
24 Stunden, bevor Sie die einzufrierenden Lebensmittel
in das Gefrierfach legen, ein.
Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die in 24 Stunden
eingefroren werden kann, ist auf dem Typschild angege-

Lagerung gefrorener Produkte

Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme oder
nach einer Zeit, in der das Gerät nicht benutzt wurde,
mindestens zwei Stunden lang auf den höheren Einstel­lungen laufen, bevor Sie Lebensmittel in das Gefrierfach
hinein legen.

Wichtig! Kam es zum Beispiel durch einen Stromausfall,
der länger dauerte als der in der Tabelle mit den
technischen Daten angegebene Wert (siehe
"Ausfalldauer") zu einem ungewollten Abtauen, dann
müssen die aufgetauten Lebensmittel sehr rasch
verbraucht oder sofort gekocht und (nach dem Abkühlen)
erneut eingefroren werden.

Wichtig! Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungsmittel oder
Scheuerpulver, da hierdurch die Oberfläche beschädigt
wird.

Gefrierkalender

Die Symbole zeigen verschiedene Arten gefrorener Le­bensmittel an.
Die Zahlen geben die Lagerzeiten in Monaten für die ent­sprechenden Arten gefrorener Lebensmittel an. Es hängt
von der Qualität der Lebensmittel und ihrer Behandlung
vor dem Einfrieren ab, ob der obere oder der untere Wert
für die angezeigte Lagerzeit gilt.

Öffnen und Schließen des Deckels

Da der Deckel mit einer sehr gut schließenden Dichtung
ausgestattet ist, kann das Gerä t direkt nach dem Schließen
nur sehr schwer geöffnet werden (da sich im Innern ein
Vakuum bildet).
Bitte warten Sie in diesem Fall einige Minuten, bis Sie
das Gerät wieder öffnen. Das Unterdruckventil hilft Ihnen,
den Deckel zu öffnen.

Warnung! Ziehen Sie nie mit großer Kraft am Griff.

Einsatzkörbe

Setzen Sie die Körbe in das Gefriergerät ein. Die Körbe
schieben sich dann ineinander.

Praktische Tipps und Hinweise

Hinweise zum Einfrieren

Im Folgenden finden Sie einige wertvolle Tipps für einen
optimalen Gefriervorgang:

Lebensmittel in das Gefrierfach;

• frieren Sie ausschließlich frische und gründlich ge-

waschene Lebensmittel von sehr guter Qualität ein;

• teilen Sie die Lebensmittel in kleinere Portionen ein,

damit diese schnell und vollständig gefrieren und Sie
später nur die Menge auftauen müssen, die Sie gerade
benötigen;

• die einzufrierenden Lebensmittelportionen sollten

stets luftdicht in Aluminiumfolie oder in lebensmitte­lechte Gefrierbeutel verpackt werden, um so wenig Luft
wie möglich in der Verpackung zu haben;

• achten Sie beim Hineinlegen von frischen, noch un-

gefrorenen Lebensmitteln darauf, dass diese keinen
Kontakt mit Gefriergut bekommen, da dieses sonst an­tauen kann;

Lebensmitteln im Gefrierfach;

• werden Gefrierwürfel direkt nach der Entnahme aus
dem Gefrierfach verwendet, können Sie zu Frostbrand
auf der Haut führen;

• Es empfiehlt sich, das Einfrierdatum auf jeder einzel­nen Packung zu notieren, um einen genauen Überblick
über die Lagerzeit zu haben.

Hinweise zur Lagerung gefrorener Produkte

So erzielen Sie die besten Ergebnisse mit Ihrem Gerät:

• prüfen Sie sorgfältig, dass die im Handel erworbenen
gefrorenen Lebensmittel sachgerecht gelagert wurden;

• achten Sie unbedingt darauf, die eingekauften gefro­renen Lebensmittel in der kürzest möglichen Zeit in
Ihren Gefriergerät zu bringen;

• öffnen Sie den Deckel nicht zu häufig, und lassen Sie
ihn nicht länger offen als unbedingt notwendig.

• Abgetaute Lebensmittel verderben sehr schnell und
eignen sich nicht für ein erneutes Einfrieren.

• Das Haltbarkeitsdatum auf der Tiefkühlkostverpa­ckung sollte nicht überschritten werden.

Reinigung und Pflege

Vorsicht! Ziehen Sie bitte vor jeder
Reinigungsarbeit immer den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose.

Der Kältekreis des Gerätes enthält Kohlenwasser­stoffe; Wartungsarbeiten und Nachfüllen von Käl-

temittel dürfen daher nur durch vom Hersteller autori­siertes Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden.

Regelmäßige Reinigung

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

2. Trennen Sie den Netzstecker von der Netzversorgung.

3. Reinigen Sie das Gerät und die Zubehörteile regel­mäßig mit lauwarmem Wasser und Neutralseife. Rei­nigen Sie die Dichtung des Deckels vorsichtig.

4. Lassen Sie das Gerät völlig abtrocknen.

5. Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.

6. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

Vorsicht! Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung des

Innenraums keinesfalls Putzmittel, Scheuerpulver,
stark parfümierte Reinigungsmittel oder Wachspolituren,
da diese die Oberfläche des Innenraums beschädigen
können.
Bitte achten Sie darauf, das Kühlsystem nicht zu
beschädigen.

Wichtig! Der Kompressorbereich muss nicht gereinigt
werden.

Viele Haushaltsreiniger für Küchen enthalten Chemikali­en, die den im Gerät verwendeten Kunststoff angreifen
können. Aus diesem Grund ist es empfehlenswert, das
Gerät außen nur mit warmem Wasser und etwas flüssigem
Tellerspülmittel zu reinigen.

Abtauen des Gefriergeräts

Tauen Sie des Gefriergerät ab, wenn die Reifschicht eine
Stärke von etwa 10 bis 15 mm erreicht hat.
Die beste Zeit zum Abtauen für des Gefriergerät ist dann,
wenn er nur wenig oder keine Lebensmittel enthält.
Entfernen Sie den Reif wie nachstehend erläutert:

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

2. Nehmen Sie das gesamte Gefriergut heraus, verpa-

cken Sie es in mehrere Schichten Zeitungspapier und
lagern Sie es an einem kühlen Ort.

3. Lassen Sie den Deckel offen, ziehen Sie den Stopfen

aus dem Tauwasserablauf und fangen Sie das Tau­wasser in einer Schale auf. Entfernen Sie mit dem
Kunststoffschaber schnell das Eis.

4. Ist das Geräteinnere vollständig abgetaut, trocken Sie
die nassen Oberflächen gründlich ab und setzen Sie
den Stopfen wieder ein.

5. Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

6. Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf eine höhere
Einstellung, um die maximal mögliche Kühlung zu
erreichen, und lassen Sie das Gerät zwei bis drei
Stunden mit dieser Einstellung laufen.

7. Legen Sie die ausgelagerten Lebensmittel wieder in
das Fach hinein.

Wichtig! Verwenden Sie niemals scharfe Gegenstände
zum Entfernen von Reif und Eis, da dies das Gerät
beschädigen kann. Benutzen Sie keine mechanischen
oder sonstigen Hilfsmittel, um den Abtauprozess zu
beschleunigen; halten Sie sich dazu ausschließlich an die
Angaben des Geräteherstellers. Ein Temperaturanstieg
des Gefrierguts während des Abtauens des Gerätes kann
die Lagerzeit dieser Lebensmittel verkürzen.

Stillstandzeiten

Bei längerem Stillstand des Gerätes müssen Sie folgen­dermaßen vorgehen:

1. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

2. Trennen Sie den Netzstecker von der Netzversorgung.

3. Entnehmen Sie alle Lebensmittel.

4. Tauen Sie das Gerät ab; reinigen Sie den Innenraum
und das gesamte Zubehör.

5. Lassen Sie den Deckel offen, um das Entstehen un­angenehmer Gerüche zu vermeiden.

Wichtig! Möchten Sie bei einer längeren Abwesenheit
das Gerät weiterlaufen lassen, bitten Sie jemanden,
gelegentlich die Temperatur zu prüfen, damit das
Gefriergut bei einem möglichen Stromausfall nicht im
Innern des Gerätes verdirbt.

Was tun, wenn …

Vorsicht! Ziehen Sie vor der Fehlersuche immer

den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
Die Fehlersuche, die in der vorliegenden
Gebrauchsanweisung nicht beschrieben ist, darf nur von
einem qualifizierten Elektriker oder einer kompetenten
Person durchgeführt werden.

Wichtig! Während das Gerät in Betrieb ist, entstehen
bestimmte Geräusche (Kompressor und kreisende
Geräusche). Dies ist normal und kein Grund zur
Beunruhigung.

General safety

Caution! Keep ventilation openings clear of

• The appliance is intended for keeping foodstuff and/or
beverages in a normal household as explained in this
instruction booklet.

• Do not use a mechanical device or any artificial means
to speed up the thawing process.

• Do not use other electrical appliances (such as ice
cream makers) inside of refrigerating appliances, un­less they are approved for this purpose by the manu­facturer.

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

• The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is contained within
the refrigerant circuit of the appliance, a natural gas
with a high level of environmental compatibility, which
is nevertheless flammable.
During transportation and installation of the appliance,
be certain that none of the components of the refrig­erant circuit become damaged.
If the refrigerant circuit should become damaged:

• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer
compartment as it creates pressure on the container,
which may cause it to explode, resulting in damage to
the appliance.

Care and cleaning

• Before maintenance, switch off the appliance and dis­connect the mains plug from the mains socket. If you
cannot come to the mains socket, interrupt the power
supply.

• Do not clean the appliance with metal objects.

• Do not use sharp objects to remove frost from the ap­pliance. Use a plastic scraper.

Installation

Important! For electrical connection carefully follow the
instructions given in specific paragraph.

• Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages
on it. Do not connect the appliance if it is damaged.
Report possible damages immediately to the place you
bought it. In that case retain packing.

• It is advisable to wait at least four hours before con­necting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in
the compressor.

• Adequate air circulation should be around the appli­ance, lacking this leads to overheating. To achieve
sufficient ventilation follow the instructions relevant to
installation.

• The appliance must not be located close to radiators
or cookers.

• Make sure that the mains plug is accessible after the
installation of the appliance.

Service

• Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the
appliance should be carried out by a qualified electri­cian or competent person.

• This product must be serviced by an authorized Service
Centre, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

However, the exact setting should be chosen keeping in
mind that the temperature inside the appliance depends
on:

• room temperature

• how often the lid is opened

• the quantity of food stored

• the location of the appliance.

5 Temperature regulator

Fast Freezing function

You can activate the Fast Freezing function by pressing
the Fast Freezing switch.
The Fast Freezing light will light up.
This function stops automatically after 52 hours.
It is possible to deactivate the function at any time by
pressing the Fast Freezing switch. The Fast Freezing light
will switch off.

High temperature alarm

An increase in the temperature in the freezer (for example
due to an power failure) is indicated by switching on of
the Alarm light
During the alarm phase, don't place food inside the freez­er.
When normal conditions are restored the Alarm light will
switch off automatically.

First use

Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the
interior and all internal accessories with lukewarm water
and some neutral soap so as to remove the typical smell
of a brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.

Daily use

Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food
and storing frozen and deep-frozen food for a long time.
To freeze fresh food activate the Fast freezing function at
least 24 hours before placing the food to be frozen in the
freezer compartment.
The maximum amount of food that can be frozen in 24

hours is specified on the rating plate
The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this period
do not add other food to be frozen.

Storage of frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out of use, before
putting the products in the compartment let the appliance
run at least 2 hours on the higher settings.

Important! In the event of accidental defrosting, for
example due to a power failure, if the power has been off
for longer than the value shown in the technical
characteristics chart under "rising time", the defrosted
food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately
and then re-frozen (after cooling).

as these will damage the finish.

Opening and closing the lid

As the lid is equipped with a tightly closing seal, it is not
easy to reopen it shortly after closing (due to the vacuum
formed inside).
Wait a few minutes before reopening the appliance. The
vacuum valve will help you to open the lid.

Warning! Never pull the handle with immense force.

Storage baskets

Place the baskets inside the freezer. The baskets will slide
into each other.

Hints for freezing

To help you make the most of the freezing process, here
are some important hints:

• the maximum quantity of food which can be frozen in

24 hrs. is shown on the rating plate;

• the freezing process takes 24 hours. No further food to

be frozen should be added during this period;

• only freeze top quality, fresh and thoroughly cleaned,

foodstuffs;

• prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly

and completely frozen and to make it possible subse­quently to thaw only the quantity required;

• wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene and

make sure that the packages are airtight;

• do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food which

is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in temperature
of the latter;

• lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt

reduces the storage life of food;

Care and cleaning

Caution! Unplug the appliance before carrying out

any maintenance operation.

This appliance contains hydrocarbons in its cooling

unit; maintenance and recharging must therefore
only be carried out by authorized technicians.

Periodic cleaning

1. Switch off the appliance.

2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

3. Regularly clean the appliance and the accessories

with warm water and neutral soap. Clean the lid seal
carefully.

4. Fully dry the appliance.

5. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.

6. Switch on the appliance.

Caution! Do not use detergents, abrasive products,

highly perfumed cleaning products or wax polishes
to clean the inner side of the appliance.
Prevent damage to the cooling system.

individual pack to enable you to keep tab of the storage

Hints for storage of frozen food

To obtain the best performance from this appliance, you
should:

• make sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were
adequately stored by the retailer;

• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the
foodstore to the freezer in the shortest possible time;

• not open the lid frequently or leave it open longer than
absolutely necessary.

• Once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and cannot
be refrozen.

• Do not exceed the storage period indicated by the food
manufacturer.

Important! There is no need to clean the compressor area.
Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chem-

icals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this ap­pliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer
casing of this appliance is only cleaned with warm water
with a little washing-up liquid added.

Defrosting the freezer

Defrost the freezer when the frost layer reaches a thickness
of about 10-15 mm.
The best time to defrost the freezer when it contains no or
only a little food.
To remove the frost, do these steps:

1. Switch off the appliance.

2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of

newspaper and put it in a cool place.

3. Leave the lid open , remove the plug from the defrost

water drain and collect all defrost water on a tray. Use
a scraper to remove ice quickly.

4. When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thor­oughly and refit the plug.

5. Switch on the appliance.

6. Set the temperature regulator to obtain the maximum
coldness and run the appliance for two or three hours
using this setting.

7. Reload the previously removed food into the com­partment.

Important! Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off frost
as you could damage the appliance. Do not use a
mechanical device or any artificial means to speed up the
thawing process other than those recommended by the
manufacturer. A temperature rise of the frozen food packs,
during defrosting, may shorten their safe storage life.

What to do if…

Periods of non-operation

When the appliance is not in use for long periods, take
the following precautions:

1. Switch off the appliance.

2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

3. Remove all food.

4. Defrost and clean the appliance and all accessories.

5. Leave the lid open to prevent unpleasant smells.
Important! If the cabinet will be kept on, ask somebody

to check it once in a while to prevent the food inside from
spoiling in case of a power failure.

Cuidado y limpieza

Instalación

Alarma de temperatura alta

El aumento de la temperatura de un compartimento (por
ejemplo, por falta de energía eléctrica) se indica mediante
el parpadeo de la luz de alarma.

Primer uso

No coloque alimentos en el congelador mientras dure la
fase de alarma.
Cuando se restablezcan las condiciones normales, la luz
de alarma se apagará de manera automática.

Limpieza de las partes internas

Antes del empleo limpiar todas las partes internas con
agua tibia y jabón neutro, a fin de eliminar el característico
olor de nuevo y secarlas luego cuidadosamente.

Uso diario

Congelación de alimentos frescos

El compartimento congelador es adecuado para congelar
alimentos frescos y conservar a largo plazo los alimentos
congelados y ultracongelados.
Para congelar alimentos frescos, active la función de
congelación rápida al menos 24 horas antes de introducir
los alimentos en el compartimento congelador.
La cantidad máxima de alimentos que puede congelarse

en 24 horas se indica en la placa de datos técnicos
El proceso de congelación dura 24 horas: durante ese
periodo no deben añadirse otros alimentos para congelar.

Almacenamiento de alimentos congelados

Al poner en marcha el aparato por primera vez o después
de un periodo sin uso, dé jelo en marcha al menos durante
2 horas con un ajuste alto antes de colocar los productos
en el compartimento.

Importante En caso de producirse una descongelación
accidental, por ejemplo, por un corte del suministro
eléctrico, si la interrupción ha sido más prolongada que
el valor indicado en la tabla de características técnicas
bajo "tiempo de elevación", los alimentos descongelados
deben consumirse cuanto antes o cocinarlos de
inmediato y volverlos a congelar (después de que se
hayan enfriado).

Calendario de congelación

Los símbolos muestran los distintos tipos de alimentos
congelados.
Los números indican los tiempos de almacenamiento en
meses de cada tipo de alimento congelado. Que el valor
superior o inferior del tiempo de almacenamiento indi­cado sea válido dependerá de la calidad de los alimentos
y del tratamiento aplicado antes de la congelación.

Apertura y cierre de la tapa

Dado que la tapa va provista de un cierre sellante hermé­tico, no es fácil abrirla de nuevo inmediatamente después
de haberla cerrado (a causa del vacío que se forma en el
interior del aparato).
Espere unos minutos antes de volver a abrir el aparato.
La válvula de vacío facilitará la apertura de la tapa.

Advertencia No tire de la manilla ejerciendo una
fuerza excesiva.

Consejos sobre la congelación

Estos consejos son importantes para poder aprovechar al
máximo el proceso de congelación:

• la cantidad máxima de alimentos que puede conge­larse en 24 horas se muestra en la placa de datos téc­nicos;

• el proceso de congelación requiere 24 horas. Durante
ese periodo no deben añadirse otros alimentos para
congelación;

• congele sólo productos alimenticios de máxima cali­dad, frescos y perfectamente limpios;

• prepare los alimentos en porciones pequeñas para que
se congelen de manera rápida y total, así como para
poder descongelar posteriormente sólo las cantidades
necesarias;

• envuelva los alimentos en papel de aluminio o polie­tileno y compruebe que los envoltorios quedan her­méticamente cerrados;

• no permita que alimentos frescos y sin congelar entren
en contacto con alimentos ya congelados, para evitar
el aumento de temperatura de los segundos;

• los alimentos magros se congelan mejor que los gra­sos; la sal reduce el tiempo de almacenamiento de los
alimentos;

Consejos para el almacenamiento de alimentos
congelados

Para obtener el máximo rendimiento de este aparato, de­berá:

• comprobar que el comerciante ha mantenido los pro­ductos congelados correctamente almacenados;

• procurar que los alimentos congelados pasen de la
tienda al congelador en el menor tiempo posible;

• evitar la apertura frecuente de la tapa o dejarla abierta
más tiempo del estrictamente necesario.

4. Seque a fondo el aparato.

Precaución No limpie el interior del aparato con

detergentes, limpiadores abrasivos, productos de
limpieza muy perfumados ni pulimentos a base de cera.
Tenga cuidado para no dañar el sistema de refrigeración.

Importante El área del compresor no requiere limpieza

Muchas marcas de limpiadores de superficies de cocina
contienen químicos que pueden atacar o dañar los plás­ticos del aparato. Por tal razón, se recomienda que el
exterior del aparato se limpie sólo con agua templada a
la que se añadirá un poco de líquido lavavajillas.

Descongelación del congelador

Descongele el congelador sólo cuando la capa de escar­cha alcance un grosor de unos 10 a 15 mm.
El mejor momento para descongelar el aparato es cuando
está vacío o tiene pocos alimentos.
Para eliminar la escarcha, siga estos pasos:

1. Apague el aparato.

2. Retire los alimentos congelados, envuélvalos en va-

rias hojas de papel periódico y colóquelos en un sitio
fresco.

3. Deje la tapa abierta, extraiga el tapón de drenaje del
agua de descongelación y recoja el agua en una ban­deja. Utilice un raspador para retirar el hielo rápida­mente.

4. Cuando finalice la descongelación, seque bien el in­terior y vuelva a colocar el tapón.

5. Encienda el aparato.

6. Ajuste el regulador de temperatura para obtener el
máximo frío y haga funcionar el aparato durante dos
o tres horas con dicho ajuste.

7. Vuelva a introducir los alimentos que retiró previa­mente.

Importante No utilice herramientas metálicas afiladas
para retirar la escarcha; podría dañar el aparato. No utilice
dispositivos mecánicos ni medios artificiales para
acelerar el proceso de derretimiento del hielo, excepto los
recomendados por el fabricante. La elevación de la
temperatura de los paquetes de alimentos congelados,
durante la descongelación, puede acortar la duración de
su almacenamiento.

Periodos sin funcionamiento

Si el aparato no se utiliza durante un tiempo prolongado,
tome las siguientes precauciones:

1. Apague el aparato.

2. Desconecte el enchufe de la toma de red.

3. Extraiga todos los alimentos.

4. Descongele y limpie el aparato y todos sus acceso­rios.

5. Deje abierta la tapa para impedir la formación de
olores desagradables.

Si después de las comprobaciones anteriores el aparato
no funciona correctamente, póngase en contacto con el
centro de servicio técnico más cercano.
Para agilizar el servicio, anote el modelo específico y el
número de serie del aparato y facilítelos al personal téc­nico. Los números se encuentran en el certificado de ga­rantía o en la placa de datos técnicos situada en el costado
exterior derecho del aparato.

Desconecte el enchufe de la toma de red.

2. Cambie la bombilla por otra de la misma potencia (la
potencia máxima se indica en la cubierta de la bom­billa).

3. Conecte el enchufe a la toma de red.

4. Abra la tapa. Compruebe que la bombilla se enciende.
