INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before operating the vacuum cleaner, make certain that
the filters are in the proper position.
Unwind a sufficient length of cable and insert the plug
into the power socket. A YELLOW mark on the power cable shows the ideal cable length. Do not extend the cable beyond the RED mark.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch the appliance on.
It is advisable to set the power control to MIN before switching on the appliance.
To rewind the power cable, press the rewind button
with your foot, and guide the cable with your hand to ensure that it does not whip causing damage.
By moving the variable power control, the suction
power can be adjusted*
Use the nozzles as follows:
Carpets: Use the carpet/hardfloor nozzle with the lever in position (20). Reduce suction power for small carpets.
Hard floors: Use the carpet/hardfloor nozzle with the lever in position (21).
Wooden floors: Use the parquet nozzle (certain models only, 13b).
Upholstered furniture and fabrics: Use the upholstery nozzle*(15) for sofas, curtains, lightweight fabrics etc. Reduce suction power if necessary.
Crevices, corners, etc.: Use the crevice nozzle* (14). Using the turbo nozzle*(13c): Ideal for carpets and wall-to-
wall carpeting to remove stubborn fluff and pet hairs.
Note: Do not use the turbo nozzle on animal skin rugs or carpet fringes. To avoid damaging the carpet, do not keep the nozzle stationary whilst the brush is rotating. Do not pass the nozzle across electric cables, and be sure to switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately after use
MAINTENANCE REPLACING THE DUSTBAG*
Menalux branded dustbags and filters are strongly
recommended by Zanussi. Those high quality bags and filters will ensure a long lifetime of your Zanussi vacuum cleaner. For more information about Menalux products, please visit our website: www.menalux.com.
Always operate the cleaner with the dustbag installed.
If you forget to attach the dustbag or attach it in
the wrong manner, the dust cover may not close completely.
20 After removing the flexible hose, open the front cover
using the compartment open button.
