Installing the batteries
Open the safe us ing the manual override key.
Remove the batter y cover located on the rear of the door.
Place the batter ies according to the illustration at the back of the battery compartment. Once the batter ies are installed, close the batter y compartment.
Before using your Yale safe you must insert bat teries. The safe re quires 4 “AA” (1.5V R06) – which are included.
When batteries need chang ing the disp­lay will show together with a warning sound when you press .

Please note, w hen new batteries are i nstalled the sound and display function are reset to default settings, (code visible and sound on). Your user code is not re set when you change bat teries.

Securing the safe
To reduce the risk of theft it is essential that your safe is securely fixed. Please use the included bolts and secure to a solid concrete floor.
For maximu m performance and correct installation a professional locksmith must install the safe.

The code may only be programmed when the safe is unlocked: if nec essary use the override key to open the safe.
Press and hold and simultan- eously press . The dis play will show .
Enter the code of your choice (betwe en 3-8 digits) then press . You will now be asked to repeat the code you just entered (th e display shows

Re-enter your code and press .
A sound and the display will confirm that you have programmed a new code. If you hear a sound and the display reads , repeat step 2 and 3.

If the code is cor rect, you will hear a confirmation sound, the display will show and the door will open.

Enter your user code and press .

Please note, if t he incorrec t user code is entered you w ill hear a beep, th e display will sh ow and the door w ill not open. If the wrong us er code is entere d 4 consecutive times an al arm will soun d for approximate ly 1 minute, duri ng which you wil l not be able to open the saf e with the elect ronic lock.

If you have forgotten your code, use the manual override key to open the safe and re-set the code.
Please note, yo ur user code do es not have to be reprogra mmed when you change t he batteries.

Re-activating the interior light
(Only ava ilable on som e models)

To re-activate the light press . The display sh ows and the light will be turned on for another 30 seconds.

The light is automatically activated when the safe door is opened with the electronic keypad. The light can be re ­activated at any time.
Turning sound on/off
Press and hold and simultan­eously press the to change the setting.

If display shows this means that audio feed back when operating the safe is turned off.
If display shows this means that audio feed back when operating the safe is turned on.

To open the safe place the key in the key hole behind the Yale logo. The key can only be inserted one way, Yale logo on key head facing down. Turn the key clockwise t wice to fully retract the lock ing bolts.

Using the manual override key
Please do not store the mechanical override keys inside the safe.
Please note, fo r security r easons the key ca n not be removed a nd the electronic loc k is deactivate d when the safe is opene d using the mechani cal overrid e key. To remove t he key, you must loc k the safe using th e key.

If display shows no input digits will be v isible in the display when a code is entered.
If display shows the code will be visible in th e display when a cod e is entered.
