LED Status Light
MicroPack tells you the charge status of its battery and/or the battery in your iPod with an LED near the back of the unit.
Power & Charging Information
Charging Priority In Dock mode, MicroPack charges the iPod battery first. Once the iPod’s battery is fully charged, MicroPack charges it’s own internal battery until fully charged.
iPod Battery
Don’t let your iPod battery drain completely.
When you fully drain your iPod and plug it in to any power source, the icon with the lightning bolt over a battery appears. This means that your iPod does not have enough charge to power up. MicroPack needs an active signal from the iPod to see that your iPod is docked. When the iPod’s battery is fully drained, it can’t send that signal to MicroPack and MicroPack in turn cannot power your iPod.
The remedy for this is to partially charge your iPod, which may take up to 30 minutes as is standard when charging a fully discharged iPod battery.
Note: When you place your iPod in MicroPack while connected to a charging source, the LED will blink red and blue for a few moments while it determines whether it needs to charge the iPod or the MicroPack.
