Th e Insta llatio n and wir ing must b e perfo rmed in a ccord ance wit h the loca l elect ric
laws/re gulat ions and e xecut e the fo l lowin g instru ction s by prof ession al pers onnel.
1) M ake sure the mai ns wire a nd brea kers in t he build ing are e nough for the rated
ca pacit y of UPS to a void th e hazar ds of elec tric sh ock or fire.
NOTE: Do n ot use the wall re c eptac le as the in put pow er sourc e for th e UPS, as i t s
rated cu rrent i s less tha n the UPS ' s maxim um input c urren t. Othe r wise, t he rece ptacle
may be burn ed and de stroy ed.
2)Switch o ff the ma ins swi t ch in the b uildin g befo re insta llati o n.
3)Turn of f and shu t down the c onnec ted UPS.

NOTE 1: Th e cable for 6K/6K L shoul d be able to w ithst a nd ove r 40A current. It i s
recomme nded to us e 10AW G or thic ker wir e for safety an d effic iency.
NOTE 2: Th e cable for 10K/1 0KL sho uld be abl e to with s tand over 63A cu rrent . It is
recomme nded to us e 8AW G or thicker wire for safety and e ffici ency.
NOTE 3: Th e select ions fo r color o f wires sh ould be f ollow e d by the lo cal ele ctrica l
laws and re gulat ions.
Operation

Transf er to Ma intenance B ypass
To tra nsfer t o mainte nance b ypass from UPS, follo w the belo w steps :
Step 1: Pr ess “OFF ” butt o n of UPS un it to transfe r to bypas s mode.
Step 2: Op en the mai ntena nce swit ch door. If step 1 is no t execu ted firs t, then U PS
un it will transfer to byp ass mod e automa tical l y with co ntrol ou tput si gnal co n necti on
wh en open ing the ma inten ance swi tch door.
Step 3: Trans fer rot ary swit ch to “BP S” posit ion and sw itch of f UPS inp ut breaker
on t he modu le. Then , all dev i ces are d irect ly powered by uti lity an d there i s no
cu rrent t hroug h the UPS. The outp ut and in put of UPS a re isol ated fr om the sy s tem.
You m ay now se rvice or m ainta in the UPS b y shutt ing dow n the bat teries o f UPS.
5) Remo ve the te rmina l block cover on t he rear pa nel of th e module . Then co nnect
th e wires a ccord ing to th e follow ing ter minal bl ock dia grams :

Remove the term inal bl ock cov er on the r ear pane l of the mo dule. Th en conn ect
ou tput te rminal s of UPS to o utput te rmina l s of swit ch modul e. Conn ect util ity
in put ter minals o f UPS to UP S input te rmina l s of swit ch modul e. Conn ect sign al slot s
of U PS and sw itch mod ule with c ontro l signa l cable attache d to the pa ckage.

Af ter mai ntenan ce servi ce is don e, foll ow below s teps to t ransfer back t o UPS
op erat ion.
Step 1: Sw itch on t he input b reaker of the mo dule an d reconn ect UPS b atter y input
breake r. Then UPS w ill ente r to bypa s s mode.
Step 2: Trans fer rot ary swit ch to “UP S” posit ion. The n, all de vices ar e power ed by
ut ility t hroug h UPS byp ass mode .
Step 3: Cl ose back m ainte nance sw itch doo r and pre ss “ON” b u tton o f UPS unit . Then,
al l devic e s are protecte d by the UP S.
NOTE: If m ainten ance wi l l be exe cuted in a nothe r place, b efore removi ng the UP S
an d the mod ule, ple ase fol low ste p s of “Transf er to Mai ntenan ce Bypa s s” and th en
di sconn ect all wi res bet ween UPS a nd the mo d ule fo r comple te isola tion.
