Features and Benefits

Cable Continuity Testing

The XProTec Cable Tester is a cable continuity tester for
identifying cables in multi-run installations. The cable tester
uses the Cable

Tester to place a DC current through one end
of the desired cable and identifies the cable at the other end
with the Detachable Tone Detector.

Short Circuit Testing

This device is equipped with a Short Circuit Detector LED
located on the head of the Cable

Tester. If a DC short circuit
exists in the cable being tested, the LED will illuminate. Many
high quality splitters used for multi-run installations are short
circuits to DC. If these splitters are in line with the cable being
tested, the LED will illuminate.
