5) Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
6) Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or comers. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away form heated surfaces.
7) Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
8) Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
9) Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
10) Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away form openings and moving parts.
11) Turn off all controls before unplugging or disconnecting the tool from the power supply.
12) Use extra care when using on stairs.
13) Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.
14) Always turn off this appliance before connecting or disconnecting either hose or motorized nozzle.
15) Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
16) Do not use without the collection bag in place.

18) WARNING – To reduce the risk of electric shock – Do not use on wet surfaces. Do not expose to rain. Store indoors.
19) To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
20) Extension Cord - Make sure your extension cord set is in good condition. When using an extension cord, be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the current your product will draw. For lengths less than 25 feet, No. __16_AWG extension cord should be used. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. (NOTE: Table 1 shows the correct size to use depending on cord length and nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use the next heavier gauge. The smaller the gauge number the heavier the cord.) To reduce the likelihood of disconnection of cord from the extension cord during operating:
I) Make a knot as shown in Figure 1, or II) Use extension cord holder found on the
power cord of this tool.
