WHIRLWIND IMP SPLITTER (1x2 and 1X3)
On the IMP Splitters are male XLR jacks, one female XLR jack and one switch as
outlined below. (Note: Sections in parenthesis refer only to the IMP Splitter 1X3 and all
other sections refer to both.
INPUT
Female XLR input jack for connection of a low impedance balanced signal such as that
of a microphone.
DIRECT OUTPUT and ISOLATED OUTPUT (1 and 2)
Male XLR jacks. The DIRECT OUTPUT is a straight through connection from the input
jack and will pass phantom power. The ISOLATED outputs each provide a low
impedance (150 Ohms) balanced output signal through a Whirlwind TRSP transformer
and WILL NOT pass phantom power.
GND/LIFT OUT 1 (OUT 2)
Disconnects the ground between the input and the output when set to the LIFT position. Ground
remains connected when set to the GND position. The DIRECT OUTPUT always has a
connected ground.
This product is warranted to be free of defects in materials or workmanship to the original
purchaser for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase. Should warranty service be
required, return the unit postage paid along with the original sales receipt to:

Whirlwind will, at its option, repair or replace the unit. This warranty does not cover damage
resulting from abuse, unauthorized modifications or use of the product in unintended
applications.
