WARNING
Procedure:
1. Check the following before installing kit, #R0150101:
Freezer food temperature should be 0° to 2°F and no colder.
Heat exchanger and electrical grommet, located on outer case back wall, should be inspected and
sealed with mastic if necessary.
Freezer door must close properly and door gasket must seal.
1. Install defrost timer (6 hour/33 minutes cam), part #10428605.
2. Install fan delay on evaporator fan motor by observing the following steps:
Attach defrost thermostat (20°F closing temperature), part #10442405, to evaporator outlet tube.
Strip insulation back 5/16 inch on both thermostat lead wires.
Install window splice, part #R0167098, on both thermostat lead wires.
Cut blue lead to evaporator fan motor near defrost thermostat installed in step a.
Strip insulation back 5/16 inch on both blue lead wires.
Wire defrost thermostat in series with two blue lead wires using window splices
installedinstepc.
If unit has factory installed insulation, remove and replace with insulation in kit.
1. Install freezer air duct insulation, part #10716101, by observing the following steps:
Remove and dry freezer air duct.
Punch out appropriate insulation pads and peel off protective backing. See
illustration.
Install insulation pad inside air duct as shown in illustration.
Install gasket, part #B8386613, as shown in illustration. Purpose of gasket is to seal
against freezer ceiling, preventing discharge air from cooling front portion of air duct.
Replace freezer air duct.
