Removing Greenwald Coin Slides from Coin Boxes
1. Disconnect coin slide
harness and ground jumper
With the service door open, disconnect
the coin slide harness by pressing down
on the locking tab and pulling apart. Also
disconnect the ground jumper.

2. Loosen coin slide bolt
Using a 5/16" socket wrench or 5/16" open
end wrench, loosen the coin slide bolt. Set
the bolt aside.
5. Reinsert coin slide
Reinsert the coin slide in the coin box by
pushing the slide as far back as possible,
and then pushing down to lock it in place.
Locate the threaded bolt hole.
3. Remove coin slide
Remove the coin slide by pushing up, then
pulling out (it may require some twisting and
turning).
6. Tighten coin slide bolt,
reattach harness and
ground jumper, and test
Align the long bolt, insert, and tighten using
a 5/16" socket wrench or 5/16" open end
wrench. Reattach the harness and ground
jumper and test.

Changing the Vend Price on Greenwald Coin Slides
Tools Needed
Phillips screwdriver Quarters (up to 8)
Coin slot plugs
(if needed; eight [8]
are provided)
1. Remove spring from coin slide
Remove the one large spring from the coin
slide assembly.
4. Remove two screws
holding plug retainer
With the slide fully forward, remove the
two screws holding the plug retainer.
2. Push slide fully forward
Fill the empty coin slots with quarters
and push the coin slide fully forward.
The quarters will drop free. Do not retract
the coin slide until instructed.
5. Turn over assembly and
adjust locations and number
of coin slot plugs
With the retainer removed, turn over the
assembly and adjust the locations and
number of coin slot plugs as needed.
Keep and store extra plugs, as they may
be needed in the future.
3. Separate coin slide
assembly into three sections

Remove the two screws holding the cover
and switch extension to the assembly (A).
With the screws removed, the assembly
breaks down into three components (and
the spring).
6. Replace plug retainer
UP
Replace the plug retainer. Note that the word
“UP” is embossed on the visible side (see
illustration). Secure with the screws removed
in Step 4. It is helpful to hold this in place
with one hand while the screws are replaced
on the opposite side.
7. Reassemble cover
and switch extension
Reassemble the cover and switch extension
to the coin slide. Secure with the screws
removed in Step 3. Note the location
of the bolt within the slider on the extension
(see illustration). This is important to the
function of the slide.
8. Insert quarters
and test for function
Insert the appropriate number of quarters
in the coin slide and test for function. Make
sure the slider moves freely and engages
the switch.
9. Reattach spring
Reattach the single spring and insert the coin
slide assembly back into the meter case per
the instructions on page 1.
