BEFORE USING YOUR FREEZER
This product is a freezer exclusively for
•
domestic use.
To make the best use of your freezer, please
read the instruction booklet carefully for a
description of the appliance and useful tips
regarding storage of food.
Keep this booklet for further consultation.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing
The packing material is 100% recyclable and
bears the recycle symbol. Follow the local
regulations for disposal.
The packaging material (plastic bags,
polystyrene parts, etc.) can be a source of
danger, so keep these out of reach of children.
2. Product
The freezer is built using reusable materials.
When scrapping, follow the local regulations for
waste disposal.
Make the appliance unusable by cutting off the
power cable. Dispose of the appliance at an
authorised collection centre for the recovery of
refrigerant gases.
After unpacking the freezer, make sure that

the doors shut perfectly. Any damage must
be reported to your retailer within 24 hours.
Before connecting the appliance to the power

supply, wait for two hours, to allow the
cooling circuit to become perfectly effective.
The installation and electrical connection

must be carried out by a qualified technician
according to the Manufacturer's instructions
and local safety regulations.
Information
This appliance is free of CFCs (refrigerant circuit
contains R134 a)or FCs (refrigerant circuit
contains R600a- Isobutane). For more details,
refer to the rating plate fitted on the appliance.
PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Use the freezer only for storing frozen foods,
•
freezing fresh food and producing ice cubes.
Do not cover or close the vents of the freezer.
•
Do not store glass containers with liquids in
•
the freezer since they may burst.
Do not eat ice cubes or ice lollies immediately
•
after removing them from the freezer
because they may cause "cold" burns.
To avoid the risk of children being trapped
•
and therefore suffocating, do not allow them
to play or hide inside the freezer.
Do not eat or drink the contents (atoxic) of the
•
ice blocks.
Before carrying out any maintenance or
•
cleaning, always unplug the appliance or
switch the power supply off.
The power cable can only be replaced by an
•
authorized electrician.
Declaration of conformity
This appliance is intended to come into
•
contact with foodstuffs and conforms to D.L.
108 of 25.01.1992(Directive 89/109/CE).
CE- This product is designed, built and
marketed in compliance with:
the safety objectives of the "Low voltage"
•
Directive 73/23 CE;
the protection requirements of the "EMC"
•
Directive 89/336 CE amended by Directive
93/68 CE.
Information
For appliances with R600-a Isobutane
Isobutane is a natural gas having high
environmental compatibility but is inflammable.
Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the
refrigerant circuit tubes do not get damaged.

HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER
This freezer can be used for storing frozen food
and freezing fresh food.
The freezer is designed to operate at room
temperatures between +16ºC and +32ºC
Starting up the freezer
There is no need to set the freezer temperature
•
using the thermostat knob because it has already
been preset in the factory.
Plug in the appliance.
•
The alarm is activated, since the temperature
•
inside the freezer is not low enough for inserting
the foodstuff.
Place the foodstuff inside only when the alarm is
•
deactivated (for more details consult the enclosed
product chart).
Temperature regulation
For temperature regulation, consult the enclosed
product chart.
Note
Internal freezer temperatures are affected by room
temperature, frequency of opening of the door and the
position of the freezer.
The thermostat setting must be changed depending
on these factors.
Activation of rapid freezing
The quantity in kilos of fresh food that can be
frozen within 24 hours is indicated on the
appliance rating plate.
For optimal freezing, press the rapid freeze button
(until the yellow pilot lamp comes on) 24 hours before
placing food inside the freezer.
About 24 hours of rapid freezing are usually sufficient;
after this period switch off the rapid freeze function.
Warning:
For small quantities of food, the rapid freeze function
can be disconnected after a few hours, in order to save
power consumption.
