HOW TO FILL THE SALT CONTAINER
Check the water hardness level in your
area.
Consult your local Water Board or check
your last water bill.
• Set the water hardness by turning the
selector (if fitted) inside the door (top left)
with a screwdriver. Use the table below to
set the dial to the required setting.
Selector
setting
0 1 soft 0 - 5 0 - 9

Water hardness
German
degrees
°dH
• If the water hardness level exceeds
category 1-2 (medium), before using the
dishwasher for the first time, fill the salt
container and run a wash cycle so that
any excess saline solution discharged is
immediately removed by the water to
prevent corrosion. The pre-rinse cycle is
not sufficient for this purpose.
• Check the salt level regularly.
• Important: Only use regeneration salts
recommended for use in domestic
dishwashers.
Do not fill the salt container with
detergent as this will cause irreparable
damage to the water softener system.
To fill the salt container:
1.
Remove the lower rack.
2.
Unscrew the cap by turning it counter-clockwise.
3.
If the dishwasher is new, fill the salt container
to the rim with water.
4.
Fill the container to the rim with salt
(max. 2 kg) and stir with a spoon handle.
5.
Screw the cap back on by turning it
clockwise.
Salt level indicator
The dishwasher is equipped with an electric or
visual salt level indicator depending on the
model installed.
