INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
for Thrust Washer Kit 285587
1.Place a screwdriver blade in the notch in the auger. Twist the screwdriver gently to pop the outer cap or dispenser off.
2.If agitator has an inner cap and seal, twist and pull up to remove.
3.Unscrew the agitator mounting bolt, and remove agitator.
4.Firmly, but gently, pull up on the auger. This will free the two (2) lock tabs on the bottom of the cam from the two (2) tabs on the agitator base.
5.NOTE: The two (2) tabs that hold the cam to the agitator are for factory use only. The tabs are not needed for agitator operation. Bend the tabs to break them off and remove.
6.Set the thrust washer in the slots on the top of the agitator.
7.Set the auger and cam on the agitator.
8.Replace the agitator and mounting bolt.
9.Check to be sure the auger turns. It must only rotate clockwise.
10.If agitator has an inner cap and seal, wipe a few drops of liquid soap on the seal of the inner cap, then push the inner cap down into the auger. The seal MUST be seated to the groove in the auger. Turning the cap will help to seat the seal.
11.Snap the outer auger cap or dispenser on.
