APPLICATION INFORMATION:
The Talk-Back Module (TBM) is a plug-in module designed to provide centralized Talk-Back in the MZC-144 Modular Zone
Control.
Figure 1 shows the MZC-144 board, and illustrates the location of the TBM module.

INSTALLATION AND PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: For additional information, see MZC-144 Installation Instructions (P83259).
1. Remove MZC-144 cover.
2. Disconnect power from the MZC-144.
3. Set the Talk-Back Master switch, on the MZC-144 PC Board (see Figure 1), to the Enabled position.
4. Enable Talk-Back in the desired zones. See Figure 2 for Expansion Modules and Figure 1 for Main Board.
5. Remove the shorting jumper from J8 on the MZC-144.
6. Plug the TBM into the proper location (see Figure 1).
CAUTION: Make sure that all of the pins are aligned properly.
7. Turn power on to the MZC-144.
8. Adjust the Talk-Back volume (see Figure 3).
9. Install the MZC-144 cover.
CAUTION: These devices are not intended for use in hazardous locations as defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
